Great condo. We have rented this unit before. The unit needs some work and refurbishing to get back to its former status. Paint is needed in the master bath to cover a water leak. Pillows and mattresses need to be replaced. Tv's are dated. Portifino is a wonderful destination. Southern Vacation Rentals makes it easy.

We love the Portofino Resort! This was our second time there. The only trouble we had was the front door was open two times after we had left for the beach all day and came back! Had to call security. We carefully checked everything and nothing was taken, just a little creepy. Also, the housekeeping had a lot to be desired. Was not very clean when we got there. Floors made our feet black and the walk in closets and under dressers and beds were dirty. Need to replace the bedding. Sheets were old and rough and comfortors were torn. Is a beautiful condo with a great view of both the sound and gulf and the island lights at night! You can watch the sunrise ans set from the huge balcony!

This unit was beautiful. Great views and accomodations. My only complaint was the floors were filthy! Our feet were black from walking around. I don't think they are mopped very often. Your feet would make a sticky sound as you walked. Also, the bed linens and pillows left much to be desired. Only one thin, worn out sheet and a comforter with tears in it. Pillows were flat and offered no support. Queen mattress was awful. If they would just mop the floors in between guests and upgrade the linens, this unit would be a perfect 10! Also, Southern Resorts didn't tell us we needed to check in with the Portofino front desk upon arrival. They asked for a credit card and said the parking permits issued by Southern Resorts weren't valid. Would have been nice to know about that beforehand.

The unit was nice but very plain. We were told it had an ocean side view, however the ocean view was from the two extra bedrooms. I expected and want when I go on vacation to have that view from the living area and the master bedroom. We loved the spacious floor plan of the unit. The kitchen was well stocked also. We had NO internet connection while we were there. That was a major problem for us. We contacted the office and resort support and were never able to connect. We even bought a USB cord from the office to replace the one in the unit and that did not resolve the problem. We tried every computer outlet in the unit and were never able to connect. The resort is beautiful and very family friendly. I would recommend it to my friends and would stay there again. I like to see pictures of the unit before I rent which is why I did not rent directly from the resort. Even though every unit has views, it was not made clear to me about the location of the ocean view from this particular unit. Thanks!

I have stayed in many condos along the Gulf Coast but this one by far was the best. It was well designed, very clean, very well laid out. The view was great. I really did not want to leave.
