Description from the owner
A very popular 2 bedroom 2 bath "Pirate Themed" condo in Baywatch condominiums on Pensacola Beach. Humorously named Skinny Dip Inn, this family oriented resort offers private beach, pool, lagoon and fishing pier. The gulf beaches are just a very short walk across the street. The Island's free trolley stops right in front of the entrance. This condo has one of the best views in the complex.

This is our second stay at this condo. Excellent the second time as well. Very clean and well supplied. Had one minor issue with the air conditioner and as soon as we called Ken, it was fixed within a couple of hours. Owner is very nice to work with. Will definitely try to return next Spring Break. With the pool at the complex and the bay and gulf at your fingertips- What more could you ask for. The entire complex is always very neat and clean. When you're hungry either cook something in the well supplied kitchen or take a short walk to Peg Leg Pete's for some great eating. Thanks Ken for another wonderful stay.

This was a very nice experience. Our kids really liked the pirate hanging from the ceiling. They did freak a bit when we first opened the door but they quickly adjusted. The talking singing lobster had to be confined to the closet. In retrospect, we feel that the lobster was possibly possessed by a hyperactive poltergeist, albeit harmless.
The layout was adequate, the kitchen and appliances were all new and the condo was well maintained and very clean.
This condo does require climbing several flights of stairs. We are an athletic family so we did not mind the climb. We offset the increased caloric requirements by additional servings of Flounders key lime pie. We also took comfort in knowing that we were well above the danger zone in case of a tsunami.
The only negative was that the hot water heater did not provide and we had to stagger the childrens bath time a bit. I considered the cold showers I took after the children were done to be just the character builder I needed at that time in my life.
All in all it was a great experience and we appreciated the reasonable price and the overall experience.

Condo was very clean and well kept. It was close to the pier/restaurants/boardwalk, yet still in a very quiet and peaceful area!

We had so much fun in Pensacola for spring break. In order to have fun you have to start with the basis a great place to stay with comfortable living area! It was quiet enough to sleep when we wanted to at night and when we wanted to take naps throughout the day. The decor at more excitement to our trip because it was lively and entertaining. We were all very pleased with the arrangments and hope we will be able to rent it again.

The "Skinny Dip Inn" was the perfect place for my 3 night offseason vacation. Every room was spotless when we arrived. The pirate/nautical theme was charming and set this place apart from others we had looked at. I spent several weeks comparing places to stay and the price value, literally, could not be beat. We spent every night on the balcony overlooking the bay...what a beautiful view! We also made use of the pier for fishing, though we didn't have any luck. I have never stayed in such a well-stocked condo, in any city. We had stopped at Joe Patti's Seafood Market on the way in and steamed a lobster for dinner one night. I thought to myself, surely this place won't have a lobster fork...but I was wrong! Everything we possibly needed was there for us. I cannot wait to stay here again!

Leasing the condo was very simple for someone who has never gone this route. No problems. All of the directions and paperwork went smoothly.
There is a hike up several flights of stairs to get to condo. But once there the view was great looking out over the bay. The condo was clean and very ready to live in. It had all of the kitchen and cleaning items we might need.
Physically the only problems I saw was 1. the screen door was loose in its track and we did get a storm coming down from the main land which blew it down. I got re-set it the next day. And 2. The tub ran out of hot water before my friend could get it up to the whirlpool jets. She had been looking forward to that.
The location was great very beautiful. Wish that the cold front had not came in or we would have gone to the beach more. Of course, going when we did we had the beach to ourselves.
All and all a very great vacation.Just what we needed. -

We stayed at the Skinny Dip Inn for a three day, four night Christmas getaway and were very pleased. If anything, the photos on the web site don't do it justice; it is a very nice unit. As others have mentioned, the only downside, if you consider it so, are the number of stairs to climb. My mother, for instance, would not have been able to manage it, but my wife and our two daughters were just fine. And, the height gives you a great view of the bay! Highly recommended. Oh, and be sure to eat at Peg Leg Pete's while you're there!

This condo is great. Don't get me wrong - the stairs will get you, you learn early in your stay not to forget anything in the car!! It is worth the effort, though, the view is great, the condo was very clean & comfortable and I can't say enough about the shower. And let's not forget the location - awesome.

Great location--short walk to the bay and only short walk to the gulf. The condo has everything you need for a very pleasant stay and the price is very good. Just a warning for anyone who has trouble with stairs--the condo is on the 3rd floor with only stair access.

The best thing is that we know we have a great place to come home to after our adventures on the Island. It's not a hotel, it's our Island home while we are there with coffee in the morning and everything else that makes a home . You don't wait in line to "check in"...it's casual and it's a fully equipped beach home. I recommend it for anybody as long as they don't beat us to the next reservation...peace

My wife and I have stayed at some plush well known resorts and this was certainly equal if not better. The accommodations were well apportioned, clean and the price was very competitive. Beyond that Ken's service was wonderful. I have the utmost confidence in renting the Skinny Dip Inn again. This not a minus, but be aware that this is a 3 story walk up. So if you are going to be going in and out you will get a work out.

It was really a pleasure staying at this condo. Breakfast on the balcony overlooking the bay was awesome. And it's in a very relaxed peaceful location just down the road from a National Seashore. The two independent bathrooms make it perfect for groups of four or more, always time and space to freshen up after a day at the beach.

This place was awesome! We have two pre-teen boys and they loved the pirate theme. This place was super clean and very well furnished. We had a Great time and would love to come back again. Loved the view from the back patio, and the ocean view out the front door. The only down fall this place has is the 4 flights of stairs you have to walk up.(just think of it as good exercise) The beach takes about 1 minute to walk to, everything else was just right down the street. Great Location!

Loved our pirate experience! Nice condo - spotless, well-stocked and a fantastic location. Plenty of room for 6 of us. Balcony was a great place to eat breakfast or chat at night while looking out over the sound. Quick walk to the beach and nice to be able to hit the shower at the pool for a rinse and swim afterwards. Easy drive to Fort Pickens area. Ken was quick to respond to any questions/concerns. Does have a lot of stairs to condo which may be a concern for some - not an issue for us. Highly recommend, especially for families.

Location to the beach and the bay you cannot beat! Some of the furnishings were not up to par. The tv in the living room did not have good sound. Also the mattress and pillows were very uncomfortable. Other than those two things this unit was very nice. We liked to sit out on the deck at night and look out at the bay.

Thanks for staying with us! The guest coming in after you called about the TV and it was just a loose connection.

Very nice condo with comfortable beds and plenty of towels. WiFi was nice to have as well. Balcony with table and 4 chairs. Cold aC during hot summer. Saw Blue angels practicing for air show.
Very few flaws in the skinny dip. Ice machine was failing, no laundry detergent and lack of expectations with how to leave the linens, tv sound was crackling (not sure if tv or cable problem). Lame condo association rule: (no drinks at pool).
Very minor complaints compared to many excellent qualities net a 4 out of 5 from us. Thanks.

Left on 05/14/2012 for a stay in May 2012
Very relaxing and convenient to the beach, plus it has a great view off the deck. There were plenty of utensils, pots and pans but nothing to bake with. The biggest issue was not the unit but with the pool area of the development. Chairs broken down, no umbrellas, but worst of all was the condition of the pool water and the cleanliness of the pool. Other than that it was most enjoyable, the beach was basically across the street and thats what we were looking for.
Response from Ken Snapp - 05/14/2012

Thanks Thad. I will have housekeeping replace the bakeware thats missing and check with the condo association on the pool condition. I apologize for that.

The furnishings of this unit were better than expected given the reasonable rate charged for this unit. It is neatly decorated along a nautical/pirate theme, large HD Tv's, nice kitchen appliances, lovely wood, ceramic tile and carpet on the floors. The location of the unit is great - convenient to the beach, beautiful view of the sound, nice grounds and pool, and walking distance to Peg Leg Pete's restaurant where the food just keeps getting better on every trip. A really nice, comfortable condo. We would visit again in a hearbeat.

Great Condo. It had everything we needed. This was the best stocked condo we have ever stayed at. There was a total of 6 of us that stayed (4 adults and 2 children.) We were very comfortable. The beds slept very well. The condo was stocked with all the paper necessities that you would need. It was decorated superbly! My 6 year old son loved the pirate theme. If I had any cons, it would be the 3 flights of stairs you have to go up to get to the room. No elevator. The pool was great and we loved having the bay and the gulf within steps of the condo. We walked to Peg Leg Pete's several nights for super. It and a Tom Thumb are well within walking distance so no need to drive once you get there. We would stay here again for sure. The owner was very easy to work with and very nice. Thanks Ken for a great vacation.

Everything we needed! Fully-stocked kitchen with new appliances. Big flat screen TVs w cable and superfast wi-fi. Plenty of linens and pillows. The beds were the most comfortable we've had away from home and, with the patio doors open, the ocean breeze made sleeping all night easy! The views from the private balcony were lovely and a quiet entrance onto the white sand beach was steps from the door. It's a short drive into town along the beach for restaurants and water adventures.
