LouisianaPleasant and Relaxing Stay
Left on 08/24/2012 for a stay in August 2012
We really enjoyed our stay, and the trip to the beach was only a minute or two. The beach was lovely and not too crowded. The pool was very nice! The condo we stayed at was very nicely furnished and very comfortable and clean. The only thing that made me nervous was the loft area...there was no railing around part of the opening and I did not feel comfortable with my children (8 and 9 years old) trying to open or close the door to the opening. We would definately stay here again on a beach vacation!

Everything down to the hairdryer in the bath was unexpected and appreciated. The only thing you need bring is clothes, food, and toilet paper. We I arrived, my original condo had fridge problems. Was given the choice of same condo with repaired fridge the next morning with a $100 credit, or an upgrade. I chose the upgrade. Added loft and bath. Fantastic. Only complaint. The tiki bar wasn't open the entire time I was there. Disappointment. But on the whole, I would recommend this resort, children or not. The pool was especially made for children.

The staff was both professional and friendly. They were of great help with a couple of issues and we want to thank them here for their assistance.
The home was perfect for our situation. The loft served us well as our granddaughter and her friend enjoyed sleeping there. We enjoyed the location as it was a bit secluded and quiet. The indoor pool was perfect in that a couple days it was a bit cool. The outdoor pool was a alot of fun for the children. It is large enough and shallow in enough places for all to have a good time without worry.
We also enjoyed the quick access to Johnson's beach. We took nature walks that proved to be educational as well as fun.
A relaxing and enjoyable place to vacation.

We traveled to Pensacola to go diving but with the tropical storm that was out but we decided to go down anyway. Once there we did get out the beach one day. We also visited the Naval air Museum, which was wonderful and would not have had time to see that if we had gotten to dive.
We had a great time even though there was a tropical storm. -

We enjoyed the cottage and especially the pool area. Ac is a little loud, but it worked well in some very hot weather. The tiki bar/pool being separate from the property management is an issue, as those running the bar and pool were sometimes not very friendly.

We had an amazing time on our vacation to Perdido Key. Your condo was so cute, clean and well stocked. We had everything we needed. We loved the pools and the friendly staff. The beaches nearby were beautiful and clean, sometimes we felt like we had them all to ourselves. We have been discussing how we can arrange to come back to stay at the Beach Baby unit again soon.

Left on 04/29/2010 for a stay in April 2010
My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this condo. The decor, attention to detail and just the overall feeling of warmth made it seem just like home. Actually, it felt so much like home that one night we locked ourselves out because we had our house keys in our pocket and it wasn't until we were outside that we realized our condo key was still inside. Fortunately, "JD" came to our rescue even though he was "off the clock".
Thank you to the owners for your obvious gift of hospitality. It was very much appreciated. -

The Purple Parrot Delivers another fabulous tropical escape. Booking online was easy and check with JD and crew was very efficient. We arrived earlier than anticipated and were able to check right in. Beach Baby is a beautiful condo featuring cheery, bright colors and sunny yellow walls. The loft was a big hit- a perfect nook for a kids hideout, complete with ladder and a 'trap door'. The door was great for privacy and safety, especially at night, but it is quite heavy and would not be easily managed by smaller children. My daughter loved having her laptop up there (Wi-Fi is a nice bonus). Also enjoyed the king size bed with room to comfortably spread out.Kitchen is nicely appointed with basics though I did need a few things from my travel tote for cooking. The screened porch was nice too. Everything was well maintained and very clean. Check the list for what the Parrot's units provide. There is a convenient Winn Dixie and a Dollar General just over the bridge and under 2 minutes from the Parrot. Can't wait for the new Publix to open. Also a very nice Super Wal-Mart and Super Target not too far. We loved eating beachy fair at the Shrimp Basket and a ride into Orange Beach will get you to L'Artigue's for freshly caught and cooked to order peel and eat shrimp to take back to the condo. Johnson's Beach is a treasure not to be missed, but the Parrot Pool is great too with the island hot tub, waterfall and Tiki bar. Hot Tub was nice and toasty this year but no bubbles. Main pool is a quick walk from Beach Baby;indoor pool was really nice on cooler spring nights or gray days. The value at the Parrot is incomparable, esp if you want to avoid crowded elevators and pools and beach front. Festive Tiki Bar makes for tropical ambiance even if you are not imbibing. We loved this unit and the Parrot and will definitely book Beach Baby again. Loved best that this unit is tucked back, but not too far to load in and out -liked least the darks steps at night.

This was our first trip to Perdido Key and we enjoyed it immensely. We really enjoyed the "Beach Baby" condo. It was well appointed and had all the equipment we needed to have a great stay. It was very clean on our arrival. When I saw the ladder to the loft, it made me nervous because it is so steep and tall, but the kids loved sleeping up there. I only wish that a few extra kitchen garbage bags were provided.
The location was great. It was very close to Johnson Beach at the Gulf Shores National Seashore national park. It was a very uncrowded, beautifully clean beach. It was also convenient to the Pensacola Naval Air Station and its awesome museum, as well as to Gulf Shores, AL. It was not, however, convenient to Pensacola Beach. We got stuck in a traffic jam coming home from there and it took over two hours!
If you are looking for a low key, family beach vacation without a lot of crowds, this is the place to be! PPR has a very nice pool (a little too cold for the adults at this time of year, but the kids loved it). The only negative I have to say is that some of the less respectful guests liked to use the planted areas around the pool as their personal ashtrays.
All in all, a great trip and we'll be back again. -

Had a wonderful time saying at the Purple Parrot. The unit we stayed in was very clean and had everything in it you needed for a comfortable stay. It is off the beach but there is a public access less than a mile from the complex. The pool was very nice and they even have a tiki bar at the pool that is well stocked and can make any drink you want. Also there are some good places to eat out within just a few miles. I will be going back.

My family of four had a great vacation -- great beach, seafood, and poolside activities when we were not relaxing around the condo. My children loved the loft and claimed it their "clubhouse" with no parents allowed. Thank you for sharing your vacation home.
