Hartselle, ALWonderful time with the family!
Left on 09/12/2012 for a stay in September 2012
The service was great! As agreed, since we were arriving late, the key was left for us and the pool passes, and the lights were on for us, since we arrived after dark. The next day, when I checked in at the office, the lady was so nice and helpful. We loved the house, it had everything we needed and was nicely decorated. We loved the pool, it is very nice! Everything is well maintained and clean. The only thing we did not like was that there is no direct access to the beach. You have to walk down the highway about 400 or more feet. For adults this is no problem, but with small children it can be a problem. However, we were able to drive to the beach in 2 minutes. I like to go to the beach, then walk back up to the pool to cool off. If driving to the beach does not bother you, this place is great!! Perdido Key is beautiful, and the national seashore beach is nearby. The place is quiet and not very touristy. We loved it! A friend recommended Purple Parrot to me, and the price is great!

Les maisons forment un joli ensemble autour de la piscine dans un cadre tropical.
La maison, avec toutes les commodités était très confortable pour un excellent rapport qualité prix. Sans compter les superbes plages dans la réserve naturelle à 5 minutes en voiture.
On a adoré. -

This was my family's first time at the Purple Parrot. It was just as described, the condo was very cute, clean and comfortable. It felt like home, kids loved it.The outdoor pool was beautiful, the indoor was nice but the water was very cold, but it was a nice option to have, during the hot hours. We really enjoyed everything about our stay, and if there was anything at all that I would change as minor as it may seem,it would be slightly bigger pots/pans,it was 6 of us and that would of come in handy, but that is a minor detail,we really enjoyed our stay.

Loved this vacation home. Couldn't ask for anything better. If we had a problem they fixed is immediately with no problems. The Masterbed has a replacement boxspring which was the cause of the noise. Very happy with everything. Very close to the Naval air Station if you have loved ones stationed there. We will return again. Thank you.

Thanks for the feedback. The box spring was noisy - thanks for letting us come get it swapped out while you were here. Glad you had a good time and we look forward to seeing you again soon! JD Hallam PKRM Rental Manager

This rating would've been 5 stars if the master bed didn't snap, crackle and pop. The bed made so much noise that after night 2, we actually took the mattress off the bed and slept on the floor for the rest of the stay. The master shower curtain was molded. Almost spent $5 and bought a new one myself. It's a beautiful place to stay, well located (not on beach but a 2 minute drive from the National Seashore), and lots of parking. It was an easy rental process. Check in and check out were great. If the mattress gets replaced, we'll be back next year!

Next guest reported to the office the noisy box spring and we replaced it within 24 hours. Glad you will be back next year. We apologize for the bed - next time let us know while you are here and we will get it swapped if possible. JD Hallam PKRM Rental Manager

Loved 15a with the exception of the plastic cover on the queen bed. You couldn't move with out the loud crinkling of plastic. The pool rules are ridiculous! Don't understand why I couldnt bring in my big plastic cup if I bought my cokes at the concession stand. Your ice melts even in the cups they provide. At $1.75 a drink I would like it to stay cold! Sell me a plastic "Purple Parrott" cup! I don't mind buying a cup if it's insolated!! Also the young teenaged boy they have working at the pool is very rude!! Office staff was polite and professional. The pool personnel should spend some time with them... Maybe they would learn a thing or two!

Thanks for the feedback and I am glad that you loved the condo. I will inform the condo owner of your input concerning the mattress cover and perhaps they will have us replace it with a different kind. Food and drinks are not allowed to be brought into the outdoor pool area. I'll touch base with the bar staff as I am sure that Purple Parrot isolated cups would help keep your soda cold during our summer months. I appreciate the kind words concerning the office staff. Kindest Regards, JD Hallam Rental Manager

If I had known that master bedroom only had a double bed, we would not have stayed in this unit. My husband is six foot five and a double is way too small.

Thanks for the feedback. Next let us find one with a king size bed for your group. This one has a queen size bed in the master bedroom and two twins in the guest bedroom. The condo description online include the bedding arrangements for those who are booking online. Thanks again and I hope to see you back soon! Kindest Regards, JD Hallam PKRM Rental Manager

We really enjoyed our stay. Wished we had
stayed longer. Everything was great. I loved the location, but missed the beach view. I liked that everything was close by. We were close to the grocery store, the gas station, and of course the beach. It was so convenient. Like I said the only drawback was no beach view. But I will sacrifice that
for a nice somewhat private area instead of the crowded beach condo. I liked that we had access to an indoor pool, hot tub, weight room, and sauna. I also liked that it was a gated community. The house we stayed in was really nice. It was like being at home, with all the convenieces of home. I highly recommend The Purple Parrot. -

We love the Purple Parrot and the amenities it has to offer. This time, however, our stay was not pleasant because of the uncomfortable beds. We were more than happy to check out and into a hotel with better beds. We have stayed at other homes in Purple Parrot and they have been a dream. This one, not so much. That is the only negative of this house. Everything else was great.

The house was great but we found small bugs upstairs in the carpet that bit up my daughter and me. My other son had some bites too. The girl in the office ended up moving us to another house but that house did not have a TV in the master bedroom, we couldn't get the DVD player to work and the tile on the main floor needed to be redone as the grout was coming out. The first house was the best house by far and had a great location near the pool, office and Tiki bar. They were going to spray it again for the bugs but I would recommend they tile the whole house to prevent this from happening again.

I found the resort by accident, googling the net for a more economical vacation than gulf front condos offered. My family has visited Gulf Shores for many years but decided to try something different this year. The resort surpassed all my expectations. The pool was ideal for the youn children. They left wanting to know when we could come back to the Purple Parrot. We will be back for a longer stay next year.

I would DEFINITELY recommend a stay at the Purple Parrot Resort in Perdido Key, FL. The management of this resort is awesome. JD went above and beyond the call of duty in making our stay memorable.
The unit we stayed in was well-maintained, the decorating tasteful, and the kitchen had adequate cooking/baking dishes. We loved its location....close enough to the pool and yet far enough away (if you know what I mean)
Johnson Beach was awesome....literally only about 2 minutes drive away. We were able to walk down to the beach, too. The beach seemed like our own private beach because it wasn't overly occupied with Spring Breakers. We had originally looked at staying in Gulf Shores, AL but are glad that we chose Perdido Key over Gulf Shores for its quietness and seclusion.
We would definitely choose this resort again and this particular vacation home....
Have a fun stay at the resort....I guarantee you will -

the only thing i would complain about is that the condo seemed to not be as clean as the last stay. alot of dust on base boards and ceiling fans. banister on stairs really sticky. wall papper in bath rooms coming off in places just doesnt look good.i am really picky and i notice things like this but it is a reflection of your resort. if i noticed, others have too. maybe just a little spring cleaning would bring 15A up to pristine condition.
love staying with you all and we will be back.
have a great day! vicki keltner -

Left on 02/18/2009 for a stay in July 2008
We stayed for a week with our family of 5 last summer. What a wonderful time we had! The condo is in great condition...better than we expected. The proximity to the National Park beach is literally 2 minutes to drive. We felt very safe there with lifeguards present the whole time. Parking/beach pass cost $8 for the whole week. There are plenty of great restaurants and a fresh seafood market if you like to cook. The pool area is beautiful and was really fun and relaxing for us all. The only problem we encountered was losing a pool pass. (which cost us to replace) The wristband system they use is too large for children's arms and they slip off easily, so take care. Be sure to take a day away from the sun and visit the Naval Air Museum which is very near by at Pensacola. We really enjoyed that. Didn't get to see the Blue Angels fly as they were touring, but check their schedule and maybe you will be lucky. All in all a very relaxing beachy vacation which is what we were looking for. -SC

We found the Purple Parrot searching for a budget beach vacation for spring break with our two small children. The Purple Parrot is a great value. We found it to be well run, close enough to the beach that it did not matter that it was not gulf front, quiet, and luxurious. The house was beautifully decorated, clean and perfectly maintained. The indoor and outdoor pools are great.
We have recommended this property to several friends and they all have had excellent experiences as well.
