Description from the manager
This is a 3 bedroom 2.5 bath vacation home at the Purple Parrot Village Resort located in a secluded area of the resort. This condo comfortably sleeps a family of no more than 8 people including all adults and children. The living room is equipped with a television, DVD player, wireless internet and a sleeper sofa. The master bedroom contains a queen bed, television and DVD player. The second bedroom contains a queen bed, television and DVD player. The third bedroom also contains a queen bed, television and DVD player. The kitchen is fully furnished with all appliances and this vacation home includes a washer and dryer as well.

Lovely place to stay, wonderful amenities, close to restaurants & shopping, the beach. We had plenty of room & the area was quiet & relaxing. I would recommend this place for anyone. Loved that is was gated & private. Well kept grounds. The home itself was clean, well kept & well stocked. Loved it.

This was one of the best Vacation Rental experiences we have ever had. I can not say enough good things about the Perdido Key Resort Management staff. When we had a problem they were over the same day and fixed not just the one problem we were having but two more. They were very nice and always available.

Your personnel is friendly and efficient. Not too happy with the actual check in process being that we let it be known in advance that we were having a wedding the same day as check in.We had to delay the service for an hour because 2 units were not available til after 5 pm. The soft bed was broken, which I know is not your responsibility, But inconvenient. Another problem is how to get to the units with lots of luggage and groceries. The sidewalks are convenient but still hard especially for older people. The overall experience was nice, I would recommend people to use your resort. The amenities were always available and clean. They need a light coming out of the resort to turn left. Location was great also. Near enough to everything needed to relax.

i usually do not leave comments, but i had such a great time, the accommodations were so great i caint say enough. The staff really wanted you to feel comfortable there was a strong sense of that, which isnt the case in most of my experiences. The true testimony is in the fact that i ( in about a month ) will reserve my stay for next year same time, hopefully same villa.

This was an excellent getaway. The vacation home was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed not only the indoor and outdoor pools but the many beaches as well.

The location was perfect! The beaches in the area are absolutly breath taking. Everything is close by, yet not too close. The resort was great, the food at the tiki bar was awesome. Seriously the best pulled pork sandwich I have ever had. I spent a lot of time researching the area and found this to be the best deal- I was not dissapointed. The area offers lots of things to do, from the Civil War forts, to the light house, to the Blue angels, to the dolphins. Can't wait to come back!

I thought the location of the condo was good to the beach however for it to be a locked so to speak Purple Parrot resort I was very disappointed in how people from the public could just walk in to the pub bar from the outside not staying there. It truly should not be classified as a gated community location. I have stayed in various gated community vaction communities and this was a far cry from that. Seeing fights happening on two nights straight was not our cup of tea. I would not recommend this to be a family oriented place to stay.

Thanks for your feedback although the illustration may have been a bit exaggerated. Just like in a hotel, the Bar is independently owned and operated. Also, just like in a hotel the Bar is open to the public. Throughout the summer months, when tourist season is at its peak, many people come in to checkout the resort and its amenities. We do not have outsiders walking around the resort unless someone is coming in to inquire about sales or rentals. No one reported any altercation throughout the entire summer, so unless you are referring to something you witnessed while enjoying other nightlife venues in the area I am not sure what you are referring to on this one. Concerning your stay; I hope that you enjoyed the condo reserved. The unit is very comfortable and is one of only three condos which have been equipped with three queen beds and a sleeper sofa making it great for a group vacation. Thanks again. We liked our accomodation, as it allowed for a meeting place and nice family reunion. The location was good and close to the beaches. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking utensils and dishes. The beds were comfortable. The indoor pool was a life saver as it rained nearly every day...it enabled my 11 yr old daughter to maintain her happiness and swim, despite the weather. The washer/dryer was nice to have, as we were traveling from Europe with limited clothing. The staff were very helpful before and during our stay. My family enjoyed the visit, and we all had a very nice time.
It was a little old and worn, surely from much use, but I suppose that is expected from a seasonal rental apartment. No real complaints or problems, and we would definitely consider going back in the future.Response from Perdido Key Resort Management - 03/12/2010

We love the location of Unit 33C. The early morning views were just beautiful, and we like this quiet area of the complex. The decor is nice, too. But they need to add to their glassware, and they need to do something about the lighting/lightbulb situation! All in all, very pleasant.

Something I can take care of is light bulbs - we have an extra box in every condo in case on goes out late in the afternoon. Everything was just as expected. Except, they called me while I was on my way down to FL. Just to make sure we had the entry code to the gate and to see if we needed anything to make our stay more pleasent. When I told them that we were running late and would be in after normal check in...."No Problem Mr. Fanning" They brought the check in process to me. Everything was ready when I arrived. What a great office staff. Once again, great customer service. The condo was very nice. Pool areas were maintained well and taken care of. I only wish that you could park a little closer for loading/unloading of luggage, etc. But we will be using this as our future vacation spot.

"More Fun" is aptly named for this 3 BR condo. Since it has 3 queen beds, it is ideal for couples and the space was more than adequate to make our family enjoy our time together without feeling like we were suffocating each other! The only complaint (which isn't technically a complaint since I knew it ahead of time) is that it isn't beach front...but beautiful beaches are so convenient that it was never a problem for us.

This property was recommended to us by a friend who had stayed there. We could not believe that we could stay here with the amenities that she described for the price we paid. We were NOT disappointed. The house was beautiful and felt like home. The property and pools were great. And, the location was terrific! We are definately planning another trip to this property this year! We feel as if we have found a true treasure!!

THE STAFF WAS VERY HELPFUL, AS MY DAUGHTER AND A FRIEND ARRIVED AT NOON AND CHECK-IN WASN'T UNTIL 3:00. THEY SHOWED THEM THE POOL AND ALLOWED THEM TO ENTER THE THE VILLA AS SOON AS IT WAS READY. VERY SPACIOUS AND PRIVATE. ONLY WISH IT WAS ON THE BEACH, BUT WE LOVED THE POOL!!

I was honestly pleased with the resort and accomodations. The location was very good, not on the Ocean, but still a great location. I would return to the Purple Parrot Resort.
