This is a 3 bedroom 2.5 bath vacation home at the Purple Parrot Village Resort just steps from the outdoor pool. This condo comfortably sleeps a family of no more than 8 people including all adults and children. The living room is equipped with a television, DVD player, wireless internet and a sleeper sofa. The master bedroom has a king bed, television and DVD player. The second bedroom contains a queen bed, television and DVD player. The third bedroom also contains a queen bed, television and DVD player. The kitchen is fully furnished with all appliances and this vacation home includes a washer and dryer as well.

I had stayed at the Purple Parrot before and really liked the resort and location. I was not as impressed with the house that we stayed in this time. The living room furniture desparately needs replaced, especially the couch. Also, much of the silverware in the kitchen is rusted and old. My biggest problem was the smell that overwhelmed us when we first went into the house. It was a combination of cleaners, air freshener, and cigarette smoke. Several of my family members that have sinus problems were miserable for the first couple of days, until the oder went away. Also, it would be nice if the third bedroom had a small TV, like the other bedrooms. Overall, everything else was great.

My family and I celebrated a big birthday here, the property had all the amenities we enjoy and is close to the beach. The kitchen was a little under equipped for a serious cook, otherwise the unit was perfect! We had a great stay.

Good condo, good location within complex.
A few items that may want to be looked at, the couch downstairs is pretty bad. The shower rod in the bathroom upstairs fell on one of us while in the shower and we could not get the rod to go back up. There are not tv's in all rooms and the tv's are not very new, no game systems. Washer and dryer are not the best. We stayed in another condo at this complex and all of these items were much newer and nicer. The other condo had wifi which was really a great addition and something we did not have when we stayed in this condo.
I would say the condo was nice and the basics were there for a good stay but the couch defiantly needs to be replaced, the other items are just nice to have's. -

We loved our unit and its great location in the lovely Parrot Village. The pool was well maintained and very large. The area surrounding it was clean and welcoming. We could always get a chair to lounge in when the kids were in the pool. Being so close to Publix was a great plus with us having 3 families together. I was a tad disappointed in the kitchen's bowls, pans, and utensils. We didn't have enough to prepare and serve our meals. A few more mixing bowls, measuring cups and spoons would be helpful. The best part of the trip was the screened in front porch. It was a throw back to the days of sitting on the front porch with kids playing and just enjoying being outside. Our grandkids loved being out there playing, being outside after dark, and watching the people go by. Can't wait to go back in the fall.

I rented this condo for 2 nights for my best friend's bachelorette party, and this is the best place I have ever stayed. Wonderful experience! Lots of room and everything in the condo is in wonderful shape and just perfect!

We have relatives in Pensacola so The Purple Parrot was a perfect location - close to everything Pensacola has to offer (downtown, National aviation Museum) plus right there on beautiful Perdido Key. The beaches are close and the kids loved watching the hermit crabs in the water at Big Lagoon State Park. The Parrot Head unit was clean, had a nice quiet location right near the exit gate, and was plenty big for 3 adults and 2 kids (Grandpa stayed with us). Check in and check out was super easy. The only problem we had was the downstairs bathroom was locked from the inside upon our arrival. We notified the office during our check in on Monday morning and someone came to open it on Tuesday morning. Overall I really liked the quaint feel of this resort, especially compared to the big high rise condos on the beach.

We so much enjoyed our stay!!! Our first night we had some palmetto bugs in our house and JD the manager immediately moved us to a different house (2a). We loved the house and the swimming pool (so large and clean and not busy) and our jogs at night to the National Sea Shore (only a 1/2 mile away)!! Local grocery store is a block away with fresh seafood and fruit!! National Seashore Beach was gorgeous with dolphins playing in the water as the kids swam. Thank you!!!

That palmetto bug must have flown in while the door was open, but just in case we had the pest control guy come out and do his thing to ensure that the initial condo was ready for the next arrival. In its glory days, The Purple Parrot had a restaurant and bar by the pool. The food, drink and music made it feel like a resort. Now it seems more like a townhouse comlex . . . still nice but not as festive.

Thanks for leaving us your feedback. It's good to get some feedback concerning the live entertainment and bar. The resort homeowner's association is contemplating reopening the bar. We temporarily took the bar off the resort's website, but we'll have to see if they choose to keep it as it currently is where you may bring your own food and drinks to the pool or open a bar/grill. Great condo for two four-person families. We stayed for spring break and had a wonderful time. This is my families second trip to Purple Parrot and certainly not the last. The resort is fabulous and JD is ridiculously fast at solving any problem you may come across. Definitely our annual go-to!

The resort was nice, clean, and spacious. The parking was not too good. There should be reserved parking for each house not just open. With Parrothead being on the end, there was not much parking for us. The description for Parrothead says it overlooks the pool but it does not. The pool was nice and the kids loved the waterfall. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Only master bedroom had tv. Other guests were not able to watch tv in their rooms. Overall we would come back.

8 girlfriends from North alabama did not let Tropical Storm Lee put a damper on our Labor Day week-end! This was my 3rd time to stay at the Purple Parrot and the 1st time that we took advantage of the indoor facilities. The pool and hot tub were very relaxing and clean. The Parrot Head, unit 2a, provided plenty of space for 8 people, nice kitchen, beds were comfortable, bathrooms clean. The carpet in the LR had several dark stains and the shower liners probably should be replaced, but overall a great place to stay. Would definitely recommend this unit for anyone considering it. As always, JD and staff are second to none, very helpful, friendly, and just a pleasure to deal with every time. The Purple Parrot Resort is a wonderful place to stay...beautiful grounds and a great value! We'll be back next year!

The stay at Parrot Head 2a was wonderful. The home was very nice and roomy. The resort was very nice, and our family had a wonderful time. We have three children age 5,1,and 20months. they all had a great time. We will defenently be staying again in the future.

Great office staff. I did not like how the parking and pool passes were so strictly enforced. We were there as a wedding party and had a lot of people coming and going.

We had a wonderful time. The location of Parrot Head was great. Even though it's by the exit, it was very quiet. Being close to the pool was a bonus for our family as well. With the exception of the absence of a few kitchen items, everything was perfect in the house. The staff was very friendly, and they were helpful with a late arrival. Beds were comfortable, and the house had enough space to accommodate a family of 6 easily. Location of the resort is perfect - close to grocery stores and beach, but far enough off the path for quietness.

I was disappointed with the appearance of the resort when we pulled in, overgrown with weeds, stone driveways and parking areas inside the resort. Our unit had carpet that was very dirty, and little things like electrical outlet switchplate with no screw that popped off, broken screen door closing mechanism, vacuum cleaner with no bag, disposal not working, etc. JD was very responsive when I reported these minor problems. Overall, it was ok, I guess I was just disappointed when I compared our rental to some of the other baseball team families rentals we saw at other locations. I don't think I'd return unless there were some major renovations to the facility and condo.

We stayed at Parrot Head, unit 2a for eight nights in June. Checkin was after hours and the staff had our keys and info waiting for us at the condo. Overall staff was very accessible and was very helpful when we experienced aC problems our sixth night in. We came back to find the aC not working, called the after hours number and we knew within about 20 minutes that a company was on their way to look at the problem. The only concerns we noted were numerous carpet stains in the main living area, as well as more upstairs. We made sure to note that on our check in the next am. I would like to see a new shower curtain liner in the master shower, the one there was moldy and ripped. This was nothing huge, but better maintenance as far as the cleaning company goes would be nice. We are looking to stay here for next spring break, maybe not in this unit, as we would not need all of the space, but the same location. This was a great value and we were overall very well pleased with the unit.

WE RECENTLY MET FAMILY AND FRIENDS AT THE PURPLE PARROT RESORT FOR OUR GRANDSON'S FIRST BIRTHDAY. THE CONDO WAS SPACIOUS,INEXPENSIVE, AND VERY WELL MAINTAINED !!! THE RESORT IS TUCKED AWAY FROM THE SPRING BREAKERS, AND CLOSE TO THE BEACH. WE ESPECIALLY LOVED THE POOL AREA, AND TIKI BAR IN SHORT PROXIMITY TO OUR CONDO, AND OUR FRIEND'S CONDO. IT WAS PRETTY COLD WHILE WE WERE THERE, BUT THAT DIDN'T STOP US FROM ENJOYING THE POOL DECK AND TIKI BAR ENTERTAINMENT. WE CAN'T WAIT FOR A DO-OVER !!!! SO MUCH FUN AND SO REASONABLE !!! WE WOULD LIKE THE CONDO TO BE STOCKED WITH A FEW MORE TOWELS BUT NOT A BIG DEAL.

We got great value for our money. Our family of 5 loved the space and privacy, and the togetherness- just right amounts of both- provided by the Parrot Head. We also loved the pool, and the nearby beach was beautiful! We had a wonderful time and would be happy to go again someday. By the way, this unit has both a VHS and DVD players, and cable. We watched some old movies we brought with us on VHS that our younger kids had never seen, which was fun.

The beach house was the best experience we have had away from home. The house was plenty big for eight of us. It is very private and outfitted with all the comforts of home. After a day at the beach, the pool is relaxing along with the Tiki bar and live music. Our experience was so enriching, we are planning a full week next year and a permanent move as soon as we can. Perdido Key is also great, not touristy at all. It is the perfect place to get away and the Purple Parrot is the perfect place to stay.

MY FAMILY OF 6 STAYED AT THIS VILLA AND WE LOVED IT. THE VILLA WAS AWESOME. VERY CLEAN AND VERY CLOSE TO THE OUTSIDE POOL. MY KIDS LOVED THE OUTSIDE POOL AND WATERFALL. THEY ENJOYED IT MORE THAN THE BEACH WHICH IS JUST A FEW MINUTE CAR RIDE AWAY. THIS PLACE IS SO FAMILY ORIENTED. JD WAS SO FRIENDLY, IT WAS LIKE SEEING AN OLD FRIEND AGAIN. WE WILL DIFINITELY BE GOING BACK!!!

We found Perdido Key Resort a very nice place to stay with very friendly service and staff; they were extremely valuable in planning our vacation. Our condo was very clean and charming. The pool area was extremely family friendly and pretty. I would stay at this resort again. It had a great location - close to everything. Beaches are many, and the National Park Beach is very nice and extremely close ($8.00 for the whole week - other beaches are free). We were with a group of 23 people staying in 1 and 3 bedroom condos - it was a great place to share good times with family. The only a few negatives. For a 3 bedroom, we didn't have enough towels; I went out and bought 4 extra wash cloths and 4 dish cloths (we didn't have any dish cloths in the unit). We really needed a few extra bath towels (To be fair - I didn't ask for more - maybe they would have provided them). I've stayed in rented condos before that stored cleaning supplies. Renters would take much better care of the units, if they were provided a few cleaning supplies. As you can imagine - we had 3 bedrooms and 6 people in our unit. By mid-week, our unit needed some TLC, so I used a small waste can and some Dawn dish soap (I brought) and washed our bathroom and kitchen floors. The sweeper in the unit was very heavy and hard to use. If I were an owner, I would appreciate people having the ability to take extra good care of their place. It's very expensive to go out and buy cleaning supplies, and it's hard to transport everything in a car full of people and luggage. There were a lot of pot holes in the drive; one of our family members tripped/fell in one. The area around the units were maintained beautifully. All units were very well kept. It was very helpful to get a list of things you need to bring; we very much appreciated having the extra information; we took full advantage and brought everything on the list. GREAT! This place is awesome and great for families. We had four kids and four adults and there was plenty of room. The resort has an awesome swimming pool and is very close to the beach. The house was nicely furnished and very clean. I will stay here again and request this house!
