This is a two-story 2 bedroom 2.5 bath suite vacation home at the Purple Parrot Village Resort in a central location close to parking and a short walk to the pool. This condo comfortably sleeps a family of no more than 6 people including all adults and children. The two bedroom suite at the Purple Parrot has more square footage to enjoy than the regular 2 bedroom condos at the resort. The living room is equipped with a television, DVD player, wireless internet and a sleeper sofa. The master bedroom contains a queen bed, television and DVD player. Great place for our family vacation. Having little children we needed a resort that felt like a home not a hotel. The depth of the pool was made with kids in mind and having the security of a gated community was a plus.

The decor, the amenities, the pool, and the service were perfect. My only recommendation would be to add curtains in the bedrooms. It was difficult to sleep in with the morning Florida sun. Loved it!!! Best unit at Purple Parrot.

This is the 4th stay at Purple Parrot and we have loved it each time. We especially loved the last place,12c, because it wasn't so worn and it was more updated. The staff was wonderful as well as we had some items sent to them. They were so patient with us! All in all we would give our stay a 9 out of 10!

Half Moon Caye in Purple Parrot Bay exceeded my expectations in nearly every single way. I drove down to Perdido from St. Louis, Missouri with a few college buddies. We were in the area for a concert at Gulf Shores but we also wanted to get in as much beach time as possible. Beach access is less than a mile a way and was an easy walk or drive. We managed to find some decent night life in the area and we were all very impressed by the unit itself. We only went out to eat once because we were able to prepare meals every night in the condo's kitchen. My friend's dad lives in the area and joined us for dinner one night and I could tell he was impressed that we were staying in such a nice place, what he didn't know is that we spent so little staying there. I definitely wouldn't mind making this an annual trip.

Service received by the staff at Pkrm was outstanding. Paula was very helpful over the phone when I reserved the condo and also when I arrived. She had a very caring and professional attitude.
The resort was great. It was clean, well kept, relaxing and quiet.
The home was excellent and is well equipped. The wireless internet was not hooked up but that was probably a good thing so I didnt do work. Cable TV, Washer/Dryer and Dishwasher all worked fine. The outdoor/indoor pool was nice and very clean.
Plenty of restaurants, bars, and grocery stores within a short walk or drive. Public beach is right up the road and there was plenty of parking.
This is the perfect place to stay unless you want to be right on the beach but this place is close enough to the beach and reasonably priced. I wish I would have known about this place in the past because this is where I would have stayed. Some friends visited while we were there and they have already booked this place in the near future since they were so pleased with it. Look forward to staying there at the end of the summer. -

Our family visited over Spring Break and had a great time! Half Moon Caye was extremely comfortable, the mattresses were fabulous, we all slept great. Everything we needed was available in the house. The only thing that was not working was internet and the house phone. Staff gave us passwords for another house's wifi but the signal wasn't strong enough to maintain consistant service. The pool and hot tub were very relaxing after a long day at the beach. All the staff members at the Purple Parrot were very pleasant from check in to the customer service gal who answered the phone. Perdido Key is a nice family get away much quieter than some of the other beach communities. Will definitely stay at the Purple Parrot again.

Everyone in my group loved the Purple Parrot Resort. Half Moon Caye was a really nice place to stay and had absolutely everything we needed. The staff are very hospitable. Definitely will return!!!

Got off to a rocky start. I had called ahead for arrangements for a late arrival. Was unable to enter condo at 1000pm due to arrangement not being made on the part of the rental agency. After an hour or so of calling the emergency number, I got through. Was just about to pull the plug and go find a hotel. Glad we didnt. Jd got is in, and we started enjoying the place. To say I was perturbed the next morning, is an understatement. But with Jd's great attitude I soon forgot about that, and moved on. Would stay again. Would recommend.
