St JustLovely apartment in ideal location
Left on 10/18/2012 for a stay in October 2012
Boy did we need a holiday. We stayed in the flat for a couple of weeks.
It suited us perfectly. Key points were
Great host/owner
Private off street parking
Large well presented apartment that was well equipped.
Proper enclosed balcony with decent sized table and chairs for eating and chilling out.
Eating out is difficult. There are so many great reasonably priced restaurants. Pam provides information to help you choose!!! Phew!
We had many days locally and visiting places in France and Spain nearby.
It was just what we needed...

St Just, Dordogne, FranceExcellent well equipped apartment just 30m back from the Port
Left on 10/10/2012 for a stay in October 2012
We were greeted and shown into the apartment as arranged.
It was very clean and well presented. We eat out most days for one meal and then used the excellent facilities in the apartment for all other meals.
There are so many good restaurants here that we must come again to try the others!
The bus and road-train service stops 50m away which is a bonus. Private offroad parking was essential.
As the weather was so good (Oct) when we were eating in then we used the excellent balcony.
Wi-Fi and UK & French TV made keeping in contact easy.
I am disabled so access via a lift and easy port front was essential. -

Very good service - easy to get contact to the owner if any problems
Very nice and well-equipped apartment
Situated in a small town - Port Vendres - Not so much touristy, but authentic with both fishing Port and a lots of restaurents and small shops.
We like to be on the balcony and enjoy the view, and to walk down to the harbour.

Left on 06/22/2011 for a stay in April 2011
In the last week of april 2011 my husband and I rented Mme Newells lovely apartment in Port Vendres.
It is a superbly renovated apartment centrally located at the marina- and only with short distance to restaurants and supermarkets.
The apartment is light and friendly- tastefully furnished and is suitable for two persons. There is a lovely terrace overlooking the harbor , where we enjoyed many of our meals.
Both the property as the privat parking are secured and locked.
We were kindly received by Mme Newell and informed about facilities and excursions in the town.
We can highly recommend this apartment as a base for a wonderful holiday in Southern France. -

Left on 06/20/2011 for a stay in May 2011
This was one of the best holidays we have ever had. The apartment was superb and met our every need and more. It was perfectly situated for everything in Port Vendres. Booking was very easy and Pam was excellent in replying to my many e-mails promptly and went out of her way to be helpful. We did cook a couple of times and enjoyed our meal on the huge balcony. There was everything that you could possibly need in the kitchen, even herbs and spices and olive oil. However we found the restaurants to be excellent value for money and so delicious especially the seafood tapas restaurant and the restaurant next door to the apartment. We ate there three times and never paid more than 45 euros and this included apperitif, three course meal, one litre of wine and coffee.
We enjoyed the little train to Collioure and enjoyed a few trips out in the car but mostly we spent our time relaxing in and around PV. We hope one day to return and would have no hesitation in recommending the apartment. We went away with some precious memories.
There was nothing we did not like about the apartment although entry and exit was initially a little daunting but it was good to know how safe the apartment, and our car, were. -

Fleet, HampshirePort-Vendres is well situated for exploring this unspoilt area

This is a bright and modern flat, which is comfortable and well equipped and also has the benefit of its own balcony. There is secure, private parking, with access to the flat via a lift or steps. Shops selling local produce and the morning croissants are very close by, and all necessities can be purchased in the town. A quite dazzling array of fresh fish can be found in the Poissonnerie, and 'catch of the day' is sometimes available for purchase direct from fishing boats on the quayside. A traditional market is held each Saturday in Obelisk square, where other local events also take place. There is a good choice of restaurants to hand, situated around the nearby harbour, and strolls can be taken up to the headland, to walk off any over indulgence! Boat trips can be taken from the harbour side, and the pretty town of Collioure can be reached in this way, or on the Little Train which chugs over the hills.
The stunning scenery of the Pyrenees is on the doorstep, with hillside villages and towns to explore. Outings of discovery can be made into the Corbi?res range, which is the home of the awe inspiring Cathar Castles, and where the wonderful medieval walled town of Lagrasse is to be found.
Recommended for an 'away from it all' taste of French life. -

Breda, the NetherslandsAppartment you feel at home
Left on 02/23/2011 for a stay in September 2010
A very nice and comfortable appartment a few meters from the quay of the port of Port Vendres. You feel at home directly. Clean(!) appartment, cosy furniture, vast balcony, well equipped kitchen, books, music set, etc. All you need for a pleasant stay, even when there is no sun shine. We had a warm welcome by Mary Newell, but never felled obliged.
Port Vendres has many nice restaurants and the food quality is most often perfect. Many shops along the boulevard. Many sites near Port Vendres you should see, like Collioure, Cadaques (Spain), etc.
So, no regrets: we would return to this place and recommend it ! -

Bangor, Gwynedd. WalesI was so lucky to find Pam's apartment
Left on 02/06/2011 for a stay in October 2010
I stayed in the apartment for 4 months, preparing material for an exhibition. The apartment is light and airy, furnished in a modern style. The kitchen is well equipped, the large bathroom has a bath and shower. The bedroom has a dual aspect so has sun for most of the day. The terrace has sun until mid afternoon and I enjoyed having both breakfast and lunch in the sun on all but the coldest days (which were fortunately few during my stay).I also worked on the terrace quite often. The apartment is ideally located with a convenience store, fresh fruit shop, fish stall and great resaurants practically on the doorstep of the apartment building. Pam was a helpful owner advising on local events and places to visit. I have recommended the apartment to a friend already. I would love to come back sometime in fact I could live quite happily in Pam's apartment!
