South of France Duplex on the water near SPAIN

Duplex is right on the water, in St CYPRIEN Plage, Le Hameau des Capellans, quartier MARINA, in a quiet gated community of 2 stories high apartments and small villas tastefully built on the Marina, 10mn walk to the beach and 10mn also to shops and restaurants (grocerie store , fruit and fresh vegetable stand, fish market, butcher, bakery, internet cafe, news stand)

You don't really need a car, everything is right there, beach club with restaurant, Port with free nightly activities and concerts in summertime, all the way to end of September , Office of Tourism for excursion.

Access is easy : - 20mn from Perpignan Airport, ( 1H fli...ght from Paris-Orly) - 20mn from Perpignan train station (TGV available from Paris) 3H from Barcelona airport.

The condo community has a beautiful pool, landscaped gardens, the apartement has been entirely redone in crisp blue and white Nantucket beach style, the bathroom shower is brand new, the kitchen boasts a big fridge and freezer ( for french standard) an electric range and oven and all the linen are included.

There is a brand new french washing machine, and my local cleaning lady/friend will help you figure out how it works. ( very different than in the US) There is a folding drying rack upstairs, and pins, efficient and out of sight.

Master Bedroom is privatly located upstairs, kids's room has 2 bunkbeds, livingroom couch opens for 2 Twin beds.Read more

  I have had the pleasure of staying in this condo two different times and I hope to go back soon. The condo is clean, well-cared for, modern (great shower and washing machine) and within walking distance of the beach and the little town center. There's a great restaurant right on the beach, a short stroll from the condo. We spent a lot of time at the beach and enjoyed how uncrowded it was, even in the middle of summer. There is also much to see in nearby towns. In short day trips, we ranged from Carcasson (the castle-town where parts of Braveheart were filmed) to the picturesque harbor town of Coullioure, where we watched fireworks over the water from our second-story restaurant on the celebration of St. Jean's day (June 14 I think) and visited a vineyard overlooking the Mediterranean for a mid-morning excellent wine tasting. We did get to Barcelona before flying home and enjoyed the best gazpacho ever at the Santa Maria hotel in Siejes (the South Beach type area of Barcelona). I'd like to see the Salvadore Dali museum on my return trip--and to eat more fresh baguettes with homemade apricot jam. Oh yes, the kids really enjoyed going shopping and beaching in the nearby town of argeles Sur Mer--and we liked the abbey in Elne, too. No matter what we did that day, it was always good to return home to this little condo on the harbor.

  We spent a week in Nicole's condo this fall, during our 50th anniversary trip to France. We were there the end of October and first week of November. What a great time to be in the south of France on the water. Off season is perfect, it is quiet and the fall colors and sunrises are beautiful. Even in November it was warm enough for people to be swimming in the ocean at the beach, just a few minutes walk from the condo. We are boaters so enjoyed watching all the activity in the marina. Gorgeous boats! The condo was clean and well maintained there is everything you need for cooking, we didn't need to add a thing. Large fridge and freezer and a great new washing machine. The shower in the updated bathroom was the best shower during our entire month in France! Information and maps are there for both this area and Spain. Nicole's housekeeper/friend met us when we arrived and not only gave us instructions for the condo, she took us on a tour of the area so we knew where to get fresh groceries, meat and fish. Loved all the close seaside towns for touring during the day. Nicole responded to our Vrbo request right away and smoothed the way to our vacation week perfectly!
