Description from the owner
Feel yourself unwind as soon as you pull in the drive and take in the splendid water views from the decks of this private home on the North East River. Listen as the blue herons call while fishing in the shallows, and watch the bald eagles and ospreys circle in search of prey. The river's mood changes by minute.
We are just 5 miles off Perryville's I-95 exit and 7 miles from North East's exit 100, but far removed from the typical motel rooms just off the interstate. You can rent the full 5-bedroom house, the 3-bedroom upstairs, the 2-bedrooms downstairs, or just a single bedroom. The property sits between Seneca and Carpenters Points,...Read more

Additional Location Information
We are located in a quiet neighborhood known as Greenbank, just off Carpenter's Point Road near Colonial Charlestown. Established in 1742, Charlestown is only 2 1/2 miles away. Walk along the marinas and waterside homes on streets George Washington rode. We recommend the Wellwood and its adjoining restaurant, the River Shack, for fine, casual, or outdoor dining and live entertainment in Charlestown. You can easily reach the Wellwood by boat and take advantage of free docking. Market Street Cafe and the Beachcomber also offer dining alternatives.
North East is a short 10-minute drive. Popular restaurants with great food and cocktails along Main St. include Woody's Crabhouse, Pier One, Paradise Cafe, Steak & Main & the Oyster Bar. Stay warm and dry in West Street Village featuring The Fine Thyme, Pickled Herring Blues Pub, North East Chocolates and Blue Iris Day Spa & Salon. Shop the Silver Buckle and Silver & Sassy for jewelry, and other shops along Main Street. The Naughty Goose has docking for patrons and is located at the head of the North East River next to the North East Town Park.
The Hollywood Casino Perryville is just 5 miles from us. You'll find reasonably priced golf at Furnace Bay Golf Course, only 4 miles away. Shop for brands like Nike, Mikasa, and Jos. A. Bank at the Perryville Outlets at I-95.
Havre de Grace, 7 miles away, has great restaurants, marinas, antique shops, a riverside boardwalk promenade and Concord Point Lighthouse. Golf and eat at Bulle Rock, former home of the LPGA Championship. We keep copies of local restaurant menus at the house for your convenience.
Chesapeake City is a 20-minute or so drive, maybe a little further by boat. It has a great basin promenade, live music and waterfront restaurants.
