In a very peaceful location overlooking the magnificent Braes O’Balquhidder in Scotland’s first National Park, these six excellent cottages are situated in the grounds of the Kingshouse Hotel, 150 metres from the main road. This is the heart of Rob Roy country, at the foot of the Strathyre Forest. The hotel is family run and all facilities are available to cottage guests including two bars serving bar meals. Fishing permits for numerous lochs and rivers can be arranged at the hotel, as can other sporting activities, whilst the mountains in the area provide ample scope for hillwalking and climbing. Left on 11/14/2012 for a stay in August 2012
We hired 4 of these cottages for a family holiday this year. The cottages were very well equipped just a little dated in decor and furnishings, but that did not spoil our holiday. The location was perfect for touring the surrounding areas, a trip to Glen Orchy is a must.
We are thinking about going back next year.
