The Estate of Antognolla and the serene and unspoilt countryside that surrounds it, allows one to live in the tranquility and beauty of nature while still enjoying easy access to social, cultural and athletic activities.

The Estate of Antognolla is located in Umbria, known as the Green Heart of Italy. Umbria's cosmopolitan capital, Perugia, is a 20-minute drive. There is easy access to the E-45 superstrada and the A1 autostrada, leading to many of Umbria's most beautiful and charming hill-top towns, among which are Assisi, one of the world's great pilgrimage centers whose grand basilica contains a magnificent series of frescoes by Giotto; Perugia, home of the Eurochocolate and Umbria Jazz Festivals; Spoleto, host to the internationally renowned Festival of the Two Worlds. Tennis is available at the nearby town of Umbertide. Lake Trasimeno, the largest lake on the mainland of Italy, is a 25-minute drive and offers sailing and wind-surfing. Canoeing is available on the nearby Tiber River. The thermal spas of Fontecchio, Assisi and Valentina, are within a 30-minute drive.

Thank you for the opportunity to spend an incredible 10 days at Villa Piantoni.
From the ride to the Villa overlooking the Castle and Golf course, to the scent of the lavender and rosemary bushes upon our arrival we knew we had found a truly special place.
The house itself was charming, and we enjoyed breakfast al fresco daily under the lovely portico overlooking the spectacular infinity pool and mountains.
Your recommendations for restaurants and towns was much appreciated. The village of Montone was among our favorites as was the ferry ride on the vast Lake Trassimeno.
We really had an opportunity to live with the local folks and look forward to returning to this wonderful place.
