Left on 10/18/2012 for a stay in October 2012
Our experience was very positive, overall. The villa is spacious but somewhat spartan in decor and the bed in the master bedroom has a mattress on top of wooden slats which made a good night sleep impossible. We moved to one of the twin bedded rooms in desperation. Having said that, the outdoor terrace was amazing with beautiful views of the adriatic in the distance and wonderful sunrises. We spent hours enjoying those views. The owner provided us with an emailed information packet that was excellent, including pictures of storefronts, that was very helpful to us since we were new to the area. The village of Montesilvano Colle is charming with wonderful panoramic views of the valley and the restaurant NiNi was a real find. We ate there twice. This villa is an excellent value for the price.

What an amazing villa!!! The views are breathtaking, the town(Montsilvano Colle) is quaint, and greets you with open arms an extends its warmth. The restaurants, people and the food were all exceptional. The beaches are fabulous as we took others reviews and went to Cerrano Tower beaches. The medieval towns are breathtaking and are less then 20 minutes away, like Penne. Two of the national parks were easy drives and we so enjoyed their beauty. Our group was from mid 20's to 60's. This villa and its prisitine location and beauty kept us all happy. We loved being absorbed into the culture of this area, and its wonderful people. You do need to buy supplies, but the little grocery store has all you need. There are wines there too from the abruzzo region that were so good and so reasonable!! Daniela and her family take awfully good care to make sure your stay goes well. I have traveled to many places, but this by far was the best vacation because of all the villa, town and its people. Bravo!

This was a wonderful Villa and the view and comfort was incredible. Highly recommend. If you are going to use the kitchen, bring napkins, salt and pepper, dishwashing soap, etc. There is a store very close to the property, but be prepared to add these items.
Daniela and her family are wonderful and will help you with any issues. very welcoming. -

LondonFantastic villa in abruzzo for family vacation
Left on 10/20/2011 for a stay in October 2011
The villa was beautiful and enormous providing lots of space, but still had an intimate kitchen and eating area. Spectacular views of the mountains, ocean and Montesilvano Colle village. Very large property set a top a hill with large balconies enabling you to sit in the sun all day if you wish. The town was a short drive away or 15 min walk with a bar, shop, cafe and a couple restaurants and a beautiful view. It was a short drive to the main st with all amenities and also not far from the beach and outlet shopping. There was also a large selection of dvds in the house and free wifi.
The only downsides would be that the matresses were not very comfortable, but we still managed to sleep pretty well.
The family (uncle) who provided the keys and showed us the villa was extremely helpful and friendly and made us feel like extended family.
Overall, the visit was amazing and we dreamed of buying the place to come back to every year. Highly recommended!Response from Daniela - 11/07/2011

The check-in could have gone a little more smoothly and we could have used curtains on the showers, but otherwise it was a wonderful villa that I would rent again.

Owner
Thank you so much for taking the time to post your review of your stay at our Villa in Abruzzo. I really do appreciate your feedback; it is from feedback we receive that helps us keep a track and improve on guests experiences in the Villa.
I would like to sincerely apologize for your check-in delay. All guest check-ins are very smooth but this time I understand we missed the mark as we spent a bit too much time refreshing the villa when the previous guest before you checked out as we wanted to ensure the villa was in perfect order for you before you checked-in. Rest assured that this was a one-off delay and all guest check-ins are very quick, I am only sorry that there was a delay this instance.
With regards to shower curtains... there seems to be a lot of discussion on this subject by tourists that visit Italy. If you Google “shower curtains Italy” you will find many tourists like yourself questioning why many bathrooms in Italy (including, Luxury Hotels, Vacation Rentals, B&Bs etc…) don’t have shower curtains and the answer is that it is simply a cultural thing where Italians prefer not to have them. So for us it is a balance between keeping both our international guests and Italian guests happy – however, we are looking into this and have already installed a shower curtain.
Thank you for choosing to stay at our Villa and thanks once again for your review - we hope to welcome you again soon.
Best wishes,
Daniela

Peterborough, Ontario CanadaThe villa was a top notch venue for us to have as a home base.
Left on 09/12/2011 for a stay in August 2011
My family and friends were on an adventure through abruzzo - one place we visited was San Vito Chietino where we found my grandfather's birth certificate. The villa was a wonderful home base for us - exquisite views, spacious rooms and balconies,well-equipped kitchen and laundry facilities and a welcoming atmosphere which our 20 visitors enjoyed over a month's time. Daniella's Villa Quick Points information brochure was an invaluable aid and her family was constantly helpful to us visiting Canadians. Eating our Canadian version of Italian spaghetti al fresco as darkness fell and the panorama of lights emerged on the hillsides was an absolute joy!
The villa was very clean and the availability of extra single beds made setting up for visitors easy.
We would recommend the Cerrano Tower beach just north of Montesilvano for visitors - quieter, with parking and restaurant.
Montesilvano Colle became a second home to us - very friendly with lots of atmosphere - good restaurants, church, post
etc.
We consider ourselves blessed to have come upon this villa - it suited our purposes perfectly! -

Just like in the title. The villa is great, very comfortable, clean.
The village (Montesilvano Colle) is realy charming, also with nice restaurants (the best one was La Grotta Degli Dei).
From the terrace you have nice view for the adriatic Sea, and when you turn around, you'll see mountains.
Whole region is full of small charming villages and cities located in the mountains.
Our family enjoyed the stay in the villa a lot.
Contact with owner (Daniela) and her family (Pietro) was great, we had everything we needed.
I've already recommended this offer to my friends.
Thanks again Daniela! -

Left on 05/20/2011 for a stay in May 2011
My wife and our 2 children ages 18 and 22 and my mother stayed in May. It was just before the season prices changed and the value was well worth it. Everyone had there own bed, bedroom, and bath. The owner met us for a very easy check in and showed us personally all of the features. We were struck by not only the views but also by how clean the property was. Very close to the beach but you do need to have transport. The villa exceeded our expectations and was accurately described. The owners were always available if we needed any assistance. We look forward to our next stay.

As we plulled up upon the Villa gates, we were extremely pleased with the spectacular view! It was very easy to do the key exchange with the caretakers and they are most gracious and friendly. The view from all sides of the Villa is wonderful. The interior is exactly as shown in the photos. It is most beautiful. The private bathrooms in each bedroom was very nice. The Villa is equipted with all the amenities that you would need for your stay. All we had to do was shop for our fresh foods & beverages. Local markets and shopping is not far but a car is neccessary. The beach and downtown Pescara is not far maybe 10 minutes away.

The rooms are beautifully done, very spacious and comfortable. It was clean and well maintained. And the location is perfect - we were 10 minutes away from the beach and very close to Pescara centre. Would definitely recommend it for self-catering groups or couples who are looking for a small home away from home.

Left on 11/19/2009 for a stay in July 2005
My friend Tina and I stayed in Daniela's house in Montesilvano Colle in the summer of 2005. It was truly 'home from home'. We had all the comfort and facilities we needed to make our stay enjoyable, from the comfortable beds in the airy bedrooms to the well equipped kitchen. We were able to cook wonderful meals from fresh produce bought from the nearby town and on the garden terraces we sat and sipped the locally produced wine while we enjoyed incredible views on every side of sea, mountains, villages and vineyards. In the family-friendly town we ate the world famous 'gelati'- Italian ice cream , strolled and sunbathed on the wide beaches and swam in the warm Adriatic. You would need some form of transport to get up and down from the town and beaches and to visit the surrounding countryside. We definitely plan to go back again one day.

The only thing difficult about recommending this property is deciding what was the best part about it. The views are breathtaking at every turn, the land the home sits on is gorgeous and even overlooks a vineyard. The beach is fantastic, and the city is charming, with great shopping, food, entertainment and great local events. There is plenty to do in the surrounding area, and we enjoyed having such a beautiful place to rest, relax and talk about what we'd done during the day. The fresh air and comfortable beds made resting up for the next day's adventures a pleasure, as well.
The managers are friendly, wonderful and very easy to work with. It was easy to stay and difficult to leave. I hope I get to go back someday.Response from Daniela - 10/18/2011
