"Colusa Pines" Vacation Cabin in Big Bear Lake, CA

Big Bear Lake log cabin

“Roomy, bright and cozy cabin in a beautiful setting - perfect ge” We had a really fun and relaxing few days at this cabin - it's minutes away from cute shops and great restaurants. Inside it has cozy furnishings, a washer/dryer and everything you could need in the kitchen. We kept a big fire going most of the time - especially when watching movies on the big screen tv! Outside, there's a big back deck, perfect for outdoor activities and barbeques. The yard right behind the deck is a great sledding hill and an there's a small alpine slide close by, not to mention the Bear Mountain slopes! Would recommend it for families, or for a quiet relaxing getaway.

4 Seasons Of Fun Spa Big Bear Marina Village Lake

Big Bear Lake house

“Not RIGHT on the lake as photos suggest but cozy and spacious cabin with hot tub and close proximity to Big Bear village” This cabin was very comfortable and cozy and really embodied the "cabin feel." The living room was very spacious and had a large TV that provided access to Netflix and other programs (a big plus). The kitchen was very well stocked with a wide array of kitchenware and grilling tools, which really came in handy for the grill right outside. We especially enjoyed the hot tub (spent many hours here), as we stayed in Big Bear in March and it was quite chilly out. The only problem we had with the house was the fact that the pictures were deceptive in making it appear that the cabin was right on the lake, which was not the case. There was a whole house right in front of us and blocked much of our view of the lake, as well as a long fence that made it impossible for us to even access the lake from our area (we had to walk a few hundred feet down the street to the marina to get to the water). Otherwise, the house was incredibly cozy and accommodating and made for a relaxing three-night stay up in the mountains for our Spring Break.

“Paridise In Big Bear” My husband and I went to the Chalet with our 2 dogs and had a great time. Kiyoe was very welcoming. The place was very clean and homey. Our dogs loved the trails right outside the back door. What we enjoyed the most was the privacy and how quiet the area was. We definitely will go back! Thank you for having us... “Amazing! Didn't want to leave!” This cabin is everything we wanted and more! Great location (just a few minute drive to snowboarding/dining) and none of that cheesy typical cabin feel with plaid and bears everywhere. It was decorated nicely and felt very homey. There are 2 bedrooms downstairs with a jack-and-jill bathroom. There was a kitchen, living room and another full bath upstairs. The living room was a great place to relax after a long day of boarding and we enjoyed the convenience of the kitchen (stocked with plates, utensils, mugs, paper towels). I highly recommend! OH, also, the owner was great! I booked last minute (Friday night) and Jeff responded right away and I got it booked for that weekend. I really appreciate the responsiveness and would love to stay here again if I'm in the area.

“although our first, THE BEST cabin experience ever!!!” We went for the Labor Day weekend. My boyfriend, sister, 1 year old niece, and a friend couple. First of all we fell in love with the place as soon as we got there. Honestly, we all felt it looked way nicer than the photos we saw! Rich was great as well. When i was searching around to try to book cabins throughout Big Bear Lake, i honesty emailed almost 15 cabins to find out if we can stay for just 1 night, since our schedules only matched to stay Sunday night and leave and get back to LA on Monday. (1 cabin i booked before this one, the site had said it was ok for the 1 night stay and took out my money, but actually received a msg from the owner stating that she does not allow 1 night stays for the holidays. Out of the 15 cabins, only 2 cabins were ok with the 1 night stay.) He was very nice about it and took us in. Not to add, he is super fast on getting back with you. The amenities were all there, although we didn't use any since we brought them thinking it wouldn't be there, the rooms and bathroom, everything was super clean as well! There were an abundant amount of towels for all of us. We were very excited about the hot tub and bbq area as well! It was a very kid-friendly environment as well, as long as you keep an eye on them when going outside where the stairs were. The surrounding neighbors were quiet too, although I guess the house next door was starting construction and started their duties early in the morning. (we didn't mind it too much though.) The cleaning list is very long, so i would strongly suggest to use the option of paying $60 to cover that, which we did so we can relax longer :) Overall, we had the best experience with the beautiful stars at night and great cabin experience!! Thank you Rich!! We will definitely be coming back :)

“Great cabin” I have stayed at East of Paradise with my family for the past three years and we absolutely love it. It's become our home away from home. The cabin is not big, but it is very well maintained and the set up is perfect for small families like mine. We used to stay at hotels before but nothing compares to keeping everyone all under the same roof and be able to cook homemade meals. My daughter loves to play in the backyard, particularly in the play house. My husband and I love relaxing in the hot tub out back. The beds here are both queen. I have back problems but I always sleep confortably in both of these beds. I do wish the homeowner would offer inflatable beds, or sofa beds for the little ones. The kitchen has all the utensils we need to cook meals. My husband and I love cooking and we always take the opportunity here to make a delicious meal whenever we go. We have everything we need there. The cabin is far away enough from the downtown area and all the traffic, but close enough to get to the stores, and the playgrounds within a few minutes. We highly recommend this cabin.

“Adorable and convenient!” Our family (two adults, 9 year old, and dog) stayed at the Quonset Lodge on a whim in late July and found it charming, clean, comfortable, and convenient to everything in Big Bear. The fenced in yard was great for our dog, and the kitchen was really well-stocked. The outdoor area is very cute and well-maintained. Overall we loved the Quonset Lodge and hope to return!

“Weekend” This was a nice clean cozy place!! The cabin exceeded our expectations. The deck was super nice and the trees around the cabin where so nice. It was easy to get to and minimum number of stairs to the front door. The barbeque worked great. I would stay there again. The windows to the master bedroom where awesome too,

“Perfect For a Short Getaway” This cabin is upgraded, yet still has the wilderness cabin feel. It is a perfect size cabin for a couple or small group. The bed wasn't exactly comfortable but for a couple nights it was tolerable. The cabin could use some more spare blankets and pillows. I've rented from cool cabins many times and it seems like this one is kind of new to the market. It could use a bit more large kitchen utensils like a spatula and spoons. Other then those minor things it is nice place for your Big Bear stay. It's close to town and the village. If you have at&T; as a cell service provider don't expect much service. :-( As mentioned before I have rented from Cool Cabins for many years and have never had any issues. Makes spending time in Big Bear easy and fun.

“It's a very cozy and nice place. Owner is very responsible and r” My friends and I stayed at Kristina's place for a nice summer weekend getaway! The cabin was very clean and perfect for the five of us! Bedrooms provide privacy and the yard outside is very nice for hanging out! We rode bikes, played frisbee and enjoyed the picnic table while grilling. Kristina even has an extensive DVD collection to watch. Bathroom was remodeled and very nice. This cabin is a great place for friends and family to gather while in Big Bear! The lake is a very simple bike ride away. The house was close enough to town and easy to get to. We would definately come back again :)

“That is Very clean and cozy place, we in love with this cabin!!” Our family love the cabin from the minute we walk into it, we were immediately submerged into the warmth and calmness of the place. The spacious floor plan, clean and inviting living room equipped with flat screen TV/DVD unit, fully stocked kitchen and bathroom all adds up into a wonderful experienced that we had at the cabin. Kristina was very responsive and helpful throughout our needs. The backyard was a bonus specially when you have toddlers who wants to run around in the snow and feel safe about it. As a parent, it feels good knowing that there is a hospital nearby (about 5 minutes away). Grocery store and restaurants are just minutes away from the cabin. I highly recommend the place and I would definitely go back again in a heartbeat.

“Fun home, tons of room, gorgeous view of the lake!!!” Our family had a ball in your home this past weekend! The game tables were a hit with my kids!!! Waking up to that lakefront amazing beauty was one of my favorite parts!!! We all would gather down in the great room and admire the beauty and the pelicans and ducks!!! We all thought of how perfect this home would be in the summertime!!! The only thing I can say that may deter us from renting this home again is the lack of washer and dryer! My boys were in and out of the snow all day, and after the slopes you really want a dryer! I wore wet gloves on the second day, and the boys snow pants never really dried all the way! Just a small inconvienance but I wish I would have realized this before I booked!!! Also, having no wifi proved tough for my husband with work! Thankfully, McDonalds and Starbucks has free Wifi and we made trips there often! This is a spacious and comfortable home, and we thank you for such a memorable and great weekend!!!

“Good family experience, but with cold nights” This is a well located cabin. Has all the bells & whistles needed to have a nice stay. Only complaints are that the a/C heating system doesn't cover the full house so if you are at the upper floor you will have a very cold night. Also, the phone line never worked even though it was reported. Else this two issues, I believe it's a nice place to stay.

THREE BEARS CABIN: FIVE STAR GUEST REVIEWS! GREAT LOCATION! GREAT PRICES!
Such a great kid friendly cabin.

We had such a great time host was so nice and welcoming . Jim and Sherry were both so kind and informational they provided me with a list of things to do in Big Bear. This was our first family vacation and staying in this cabin was the best choice I'm happy we chose this one.The cabin was very nice homely like and enough space for 9 children 3 adults and we still had a room that stayed empty downstairs. The kids loved the top room with all the beds they resided upstairs.Theres a room with a bathroom and a spa which I had fun relaxing in.And another room with a bathroom in it which was so convenient .Kitchen is perfect to cook family meals in i love to cook and i enjoyed cooking in the kitchen. There was even pots and pans to use and cute little mugs to have tea in.I had no issues with the tv and the kids enjoyed having a tv also in there room which by the way had 4 beds. I had no issues with the wifi or the hot water. My brother husband and i enjoyed the patio outside we sipped tea outside taking in the fresh air and all the stars in the sky it was such a clear night. It was a great family get away we stayed for 2 nights and i cannot wait to rent this cabin again. Thank you so much Jim and Sherry for everything we enjoyed our stay there. You were so kind to me and understood when i wasnt able to be there on the time we planned due to traffic. We enjoyed ourselves so much.I appreciate your hospitality and renting this cabin to our family we cannot wait to rent this cabin again for a second family getaway.see more

Few issues

The oven didn't work very well because the door wouldn't shut all the way,the lighting in the house was very poor, and the house was dirty with cob webs on the ceiling and in a few corners, the carpet felt very dirty. The cabin is very nice the way it is layed out we loved the cabin and want to stay there again if those issues we're fixed....see more
Big Bear - Serenity Place - Need a Day Off??
Serene and beautiful!

"Serenity place" defines it well - this cabin is located in a beautiful area with the forest in your backyard. I enjoyed sledding in the snow right outside, and I imagine this would be convenient for hiking or biking in the summer. The cabin itself was clean and well stocked with blankets, cleaning supplies, and everything else needed to stay a few days. The owner was pleasant and responsive. I would stay here again!see more
2BD2BATH CABIN WITH HOT TUB ,BBQ, WIFI, CENTRAL HEATING,FULL KITCHEN
Charming Cozy Cabin. Very close to a marina.

We had a wonderful time at the cozy well-appointed cabin. It was obvious that the owners are not renting it for a business, because this home has all you could possibly need, and it feels like you are staying at a friends house. The beds are very comfortable, and we felt at home almost immediately. We are outdoors people and we love to go for walks and there are many places, but our favorite was the marina, just 3 minutes away. They have an amazing hot tub that my children used every day. It looks brand new and sparkling clean. The landscaping is lovely, and you can see the love they put into this cabin. A big plus for us was that dogs were allowed, and I didn't have to worry about them. We did not want to leave!see more
Woodland Breezes
Peaceful cabin backs up to wilderness

We had a very nice stay at Woodland Breezes (a little pricey but it was a major holiday weekend). We had 6 adults and 4 children and everyone had a bed except 1 child who slept on a blow-up. The cabin is on a lovely and quiet street. It is on the outskirts of town but we liked that & it was not far to Vons/stores. We drove to downtown twice and it took about 15-20 minutes. Large open kitchen (well stocked), large dining table, and long couch that fit all of us! It is very dated inside but well-kept and clean. Jacuzzi was nice (in ground on porch). The best part of the cabin was that the backyard faced wilderness- just beautiful. We would book this cabin again (we have stayed at many Big Bear cabins).see more
