“Old world charm with modern convenience.” "The Gatsby" is located a short distance from the famous three sisters and centrally located between Katoomba and Leura. This was our second time staying in a Mountain Whispers property, where we celebrated our one year anniversary . We were greeted by a nice warm fire , softly playing music that perfectly suited the style of the home, which was just what was required on a cool rainy day. Shortly after we were both incredibly relaxed after our couples massage and facial by the amazing Dione followed by a soul reviving spa bath framed by stunning stained glass windows. In all our travel around the world we can say this was the most comfortable bed. No detail is overlooked. Our stay was amazing from the moment we opened the door to the time we unfortunately had to head back to the real world. Thank you Lorraine for helping us relax and unwind in such a special and delightful home. We will definitely be visiting again.

“Lovely & Romantic” The Leura Rose is an absolutely beautiful accommodation with lovely vintage/Art Deco type features as well as very cosy. I would stay here again it perhaps try one of the other Mountain Whispers accommodation. Leura is an ideal location for this type of accommodation and we were happy overall.

Outstanding accommodation in the Blue Mountains

The owners of this superb house made all the arrangements easy with no problems or fuss. The house is in a perfect location in the Blue Mountains. Easy to find, close to a good variety of amenities, but with the feeling of complete privacy. We used the house for a family 21st birthday party and the large, spacious rooms easily accommodated our large group. The house is very nicely layed out, fully equipped, and ideal for any occasion, whether it be a party, weekend get-together or long holiday. Strawberry Patch, Leura - a Mountain Whispers Property
Romantic and Cozy

We recently spent three nights at Strawberry Patch Cottage for an anniversary. What a lovely warm welcome on a very chilly July afternoon , opening the door to the gas fire and soft music playing. The cottage is generously heated wth a gas log fire in the lounge room, a wood fire in the kitchen ( which had also been lit for our arrival) and underfloor heating in the kitchen/dining/bathroom areas. There was air conditioning in the bedroom. The cottage is charmingly decorated in warm, antique style in the front rooms ( lounge and main bedroom) whereas the back part of the house is light and bright with a French country feel. The back room opens with wide French doors to a delightful covered patio and the gorgeous garden. The bathroom has a huge spa bath with a pleasant view into the garden. And there is excellent lighting in there as well. There were a nice range of bath toiletries as well as candles provided. Many thoughtful touches including chocolates, a bottle of wine, a decanter of Port, several DVDs and books and plenty of instructions for the TV, DvD player and kitchen appliances. The kitchen is very well supplied with plenty of plates , cutlery and cooking utensils and also had generous provision of condiments ( olive oil, herbs, sauces and spices etc) The breakfast provisions included bread, jams, two kinds of cereal, bacon and eggs, milk and orange juice. We always like to BBQ our breakfast on weekends away and we were very pleased to find that not only one but two gas bottles were provided. It was a cold weekend so we also appreciated the extra firewood and firelighters so that we could re-light the kitchen fire on the second and third day. The location is excellent, only 2-5 minutes walk ( depending on your fitness – it’s a steep hill!) up to Leura Mall with all its shops and restaurants. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would be happy to recommend Strawberry Patch Cottage t our friends. … see more

This is the second time my partner and I have stayed at a Mountain Whispers property and yet again, it was fabulous. From the warmth as you enter the front door, to the heated tiles in the bathroom, to the roaring fire in the lounge room. You could not ask for more. If you want somewhere to go to just relax, put your feet up and read a good book in front of the fire, then this is the place. You may even like to have a drop or two of port to go with it.
