“a beautiful and serene vacation home” This lovely and comfortable house, set in a gorgeous, convenient location is the perfect place from which to enjoy the many splendors of Santa Fe. Susan, the gracious owner, has created a magical oasis complete with art, colorful gardens, and fresh, delicious goodies to eat. Since she knows all the ins and outs of Santa Fe, one does not need any guide books to get around to the most interesting spots. However, there is a full set of literature and current calendar of events in the house for a complete view of what is going on. All in all, this is the perfect place from which to enjoy a glorious vacation.

“Wonderful comfort with outstanding view” My wife and I spent a great week in Santa Fe using this delightful casita as our home base. About 10minutes from good grocery shopping and not much farther from the Plaza and excellent restaurants, this apartment offers a great way to live in and see the area. There is a very serviceable kitchen for light cooking on the occasions when you don't want to go out. A gas fireplace cheered up the living room during a surprise snow storm. The view of the Jemez Mountains can be breath-taking. Furnishings and appointments are all very comfortable. The hosts are friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

“Beautiful, relaxing, close to town....just perfect!” My girlfriend and I stayed at Jason and Angela's house and it was truly a perfect experience. The house is complete with 2 bedrooms, three beds, wifi, a full kitchen and living room and dining space, a grill and a super peaceful vibe. They gave us total privacy and the cedar hot tub was a great experience at the end of a day of hiking at Bandelier and provided some awesome stargazing. The house is a quick 15 minutes from downtown Santa Fe and I have to say it was much nicer staying right outside of Santa Fe. The view of the mountains is simply breathtaking.

Beautiful Santa Fe 2-bedroom condo, walk to town

Santa Fe apartment

“Comfortable stay in this cozy Santa Fe condo!” We rented this lovely unit for two and a half weeks. Upon welcoming us, the owner familiarized us with the complex. The condo photos are exactly what to expect. The southwestern decor added to the charm of this older condo. The unit was cozy, comfortable and clean! The views from the living room and balcony are picturesque, as the unit sits high on the side of a ravine with abundant foliage. Without transportation the last half of my stay, I walked everywhere. A few things I found inconvenient. There's limited public transportation. The plaza is downhill and quite a walk back up! The closest grocery isn't a realistic walk as it's two miles away on a busy street. The laundry and pool area are located at the bottom of the ravine. If you have a car, you can drive to them. We don't feel the condo is elderly friendly as you navigate stone paths and stairs to get around the complex. The owner was always available to answer our questions.

“GORGEOUS!” Wow! We rented four different cabins in the NM/AZ area this summer and this gem was by far our favorite! Stunning cabin with everything you could possibly need, yet tucked away in the quiet beauty of the forest. Brian was a fantastic communicator and host! Pictures cannot do this beauty Justice.

Spectacular Bishop's Lodge Villa 5 Mins. fr. Plaza

Santa Fe villa

  • 3 bedrooms
  • 3 bathrooms

“Awesome views!!!” We stayed at this villa for a family Christmas vacation, and the accommodations were very comfortable for our family of six. The location was very convenient to the town (less than 5 min) and Ski Santa Fe was a 20 minute drive away. The villa has all the conveniences (3 bathrooms a plus), 3 fireplaces and best of all georgeous views from all directions. The villa helped make our Santa Fe experience that much better providing us a true Southwestern experience with its decor and adobe style architecture. Very comfortable for all our family members and children who are now teens and young adults.

“Dancing Sun is beautiful and comfortable” There were 3 women in our group and we did enjoy our stay at the Dancing Sun. The house is beautifully decorated. We enjoyed utilizing the fully equipped kitchen. The house is located very close to the plaza you can walk easily to downtown!). It has very nice and private outside areas. We enjoyed having coffee and wine on both the patio and the balcony. Do wish the fountain had been operational. The upstairs master suite was really nice. Would stay there again.

“Essence of Santa Fe” We have been fortunate to stay at the house on Camino Escondido many times. It is comfortable and the perfect size. Everything you need to enjoy the time you have in Santa Fe. The beds are great, the little reading room is cozy and the courtyard is so relaxing and beautiful. We love all the aspen trees. The house has been well taken care of and attention has been paid to historic architectural details. The greatest thing is that you are a block from Canyon Road. A pleasant, quiet stroll in itself that opens up on a visitors dream! The hardest decision you have to make is whether to turn right or left. Any way you go are galleries, restaurants or unique shops. Utterly charming! Easy walk to the Plaza and downtown area too. We really can recommend highly this wonderful house. It has soul.

“A Getaway For Those adventurous, Expressive Souls!” I came to Suitable Digs for the 20th time or so...this time, with my fairly new boyfriend. We were still in the early stages of getting to know each other and basking in such beautiful and lively surroundings, that I learned some new things about him (one can't help but express themselves openly while visiting Suitable Digs). The interest and the pleasure he took in retro, vintage style items was new to me--and only enhanced by our getting to stay in the unique classic, the Spartan. We were already excited by the incredible vegetable and fruit gardens growing in this desert Eden, alongside the various and fascinating water catchment, solar and other energy-conserving systems. So much to see and take in! But hen we stepped into the Spartan for the first time, wow...he came alive in a new and different way than I had seen before. His eyes gleamed with wonder, like a little boy on the first eve of Chanukah. The trailer was adorned in time period style, authentic in its original form with all the little extras that Lisa had taken the time and painstaking effort to locate and attach, no distance too far or too wide, no fixture unaccounted for. My beau settled in on the couch to read, out loud, several pages of Red Sky at Morning, a 1968 novel by Richard Bradford that takes place in New Mexico. He laughed and reminisced all over again, as he had when he first read it years ago. That evening, we sat in chairs on the patio outside the Spartan, gazing at the bright moonlit sky and feeling dreamy about where we had landed together. I recall the moonlight as it shone into the Spartan and landed on soft pillows, just as the warm morning sunlight welcomed itself into our cozy abode to gently awaken us the next day. Being at Suitable Digs for the 21st time was just as familiar as ever...and at the same time, it was as unexpected and fresh as traveling to a completely unfamiliar exotic destination for the first time. The innovative air that always exists there, remains.

“What a great house!” This was an absolutely beautiful, perfect house for our 5-day visit. It is spacious (for 4) and stocked with everything you will need and more. It is a short walk to the Plaza (10-15 minutes), but far enough that you can enjoy peace and quiet in the evenings. One down side: if you are a star gazer, there is a courtyard with a few other units and all units (including ours) have lights that stay on at night. Nonetheless, we highly recommend this house and location.

“A Santa Fe Gem” We have been coming to Santa Fe for over 20 years and have rented places all over the north and east ends of the city. This one is a wonderful home. It is moments from the centre of fhings and yet it feels like a secluded hide-away.Not only are the desert view and gorgeous sunsets a plus but the outdoor sitting areas give you a reason to enjoy them. Indoors there is good space and the decor is southwest but elegantly done. The gated community provides privacy and security.Adobe helped us with several problems and we were more than happy with our holiday.

About Santa Fe

Step onto the streets of one of America's most vibrant cities, filled with Native American, Spanish, and Southwestern flair. Santa Fe unites all three of these cultural and societal influences into its arts, architecture, cuisine, entertainment, and atmosphere. The Plaza Santa Fe is a big draw for visitors, and Santa Fe spas are renowned for their serene environments and top-notch treatments. For culture lovers, Santa Fe museums definitely make the grade. There are number of renowned art museums located here, including the Georgia O'Keeffe Museum, and plenty of historical sites, such as the Palace of Governors. Outdoor recreation includes everything from hiking and biking to skiing and snowshoeing. With so much to do and such a bustling nightlife, you will never experience a dull moment in Santa Fe.

Some of the sights you will definitely want to see include:

  • Canyon Watch: This is the city's Art Gallery District that for nearly a century has been the center of Santa Fe's artistic influence. As the second-largest art market in the nation, this district offers guests the opportunity to view and purchase authentic Native American art, early 20th-century art from the area's original settlers, as well as contemporary and abstract work.
  • Santa Fe Farmers Market: Rub shoulders with the locals while visiting this market, which has over 100 vendors.
  • Todos Santos Chocolates and Confections: Get a taste of the best chocolate in the Southwest while visiting this shop. It features niche, unique kinds of chocolate and offers guests imported candies from all around the world.
  • Museum of International Folk Art: A visit to this museum showcases the city's deep appreciation for the arts with over 120,000 objects on display.
  • Santa Fe Opera House: Known around the globe for its innovative new operas, this opera house is situated at the site of former guest ranch.

Stay in a vacation rental while visiting Santa Fe with galleries, beautiful southwestern topography, and dining venues just minutes away. Whether it is a condo downtown, a cabin in the wild, or an apartment rental somewhere in between, you can always find a home away from home here.

Starry, Starry Nights in Quiet Cozy Country Home
What a fabulous, relaxing place!

We were pleasantly surprised from the moment we walked in. This is a beautiful and relaxing place to stay, away from the city, yet close enough to enjoy all that Santa Fe has to offer. You feel as if you are in a remote countryside location. The back garden is perfect for morning coffees and evening dinner or happy hour. We enjoyed ourselves so much that we extended our stay an additional three days. The hosts, David and Adonnah, were the perfect hosts! They were always unobtrusive and respectful of our privacy, but checked regularly to ensure that we had everything that we needed. Great people. Tip: David and Adonnah know the restaurants of Santa Fe. Rely on them for great tips on where to eat out. We can't wait to come back!see more
Spacious Family/Group Vacation Home with Hot Tub!
We enjoyed the home very much.

It was a real pleasure to stay at Jason’s family home in Santa Fe. We had 11 older adult family members, and we all thoroughly enjoyed the home. Jason was responsive to our every need. We have rented different homes in several locations for the past few years, and we considered this one to be the best! The home was located only 10-15 minutes from the Santa Fe plaza and the railroad arts district, but was situated to make us feel we were in the country where it was quiet and private. We were able to enjoy the sunrises and sunsets. The home was a real delight. Jim & Marysee more
Spectacular Views, Solitude and Santa Fe Charm
Beautiful rental with stunning views!

As soon as we pulled into the driveway we knew we had made the right choice for out Santa Fe rental. Entering the rental proved we were right. Beautifully decorated, SO clean and views that can’t be beat. We had everything we could possibly need. The kitchen had top of the line everything....even beautiful dishes! We spent days exploring the area ( thanks Wayne for suggestions) and evenings cooking dinner and enjoying the beautiful sunsets on the balcony. The courtyard off of the bedroom was a great place to read and sip whatever you like:) Halfway through our stay they came to clean and refresh. We came back to find everything spotless....fresh towels and even fresh bathroom rugs. By the end of our stay it really felt like home! Take advantage of parking at their bed and breakfast only a few blocks from the plaza. If you are looking for peace and quiet a short drive from town this place is the best! We look forward to our next stay:)see more

Breathtaking & Perfect in Every Way!

My husband and I wanted to get away for a family trip with our son after the busy holidays. Needless to say this was a truly memorable trip. The home is gorgeous and had everything you could possibly need or want. We loved the fireplace and the gorgeous view. We camped, canoed, hiked and watched the snow fall! It’s pet friendly yet the house was immaculate when we arrived. My son and his cousin fished (we caught 50 trout total) had a blast fishing and exploring. The pictures are beautiful but it’s even prettier in person!see more
