Sand Dollar is an exceptional estate located just above its own spectacular white sand pocket beach on the gentle shores of turquoise Magen's Bay. Set amid tropical trees and luxuriant blossoms, this estate offers luxury and seclusion only steps away from the crystal blue waters of the sea. <br /><br />The estate consists of two properties; the main Sand Dollar villa and the separate Little Sand Dollar villa. Combined, they provide exceptional accommodations for up to 22 guests. Sand Dollar is an opulent jewel that offers panoramic views out towards Magen's Bay. It has delighted both celebrities and heads of state for years and co...ntinues to entice the most discriminating. Recently remodeled, both villas are fully air-conditioned and furnished to exceptional standards. <br /><br />The interiors offer fully tiled floors and a tasteful blend of contemporary and island decor. Soothing shades of taupe woods, creamy yellows and soft pastel fabrics provide a relaxing environment. Dramatic pillars and beamed ceilings punctuate the interiors which open to the vast views. Full length windows in most rooms capitalize on the spectacular views of the blue waters of Magen's Bay. Sand Dollar is the Estate's larger property and it is built on several levels. The entrance upper level opens to two expansive king bedroom suites each with its own alcove complete with sofabeds perfect for young children. <br /><br />Steps lead below to the main level which offers a gourmet kitchen complete with center island, dining area, spacious living area and a third bedroom with queen sized bed. The main level, also, provides an open air breakfast nook. The main level leads to a short flight of stairs down to the generous pool level and to three more air-conditioned bedroom suites. Each of these bedroom suites boasts its own bath and sitting area. This lower level of bedroom suites works well for families with young children as the bedroom adjoin each other. Sand Dollar's pool is set on an expansive multi-leveled deck. <br /><br />There is the sun deck, private swimming pool, hot tub and shaded gazebo as well as a spacious dining area perfect for alfresco meals. This area is nicely equipped with a professional grill and sink as well for guest's enjoyment. Nearby, stairs cascade around 35 feet below to the splendid white sands below. The approximate 75 steps to the beach are punctuated by platforms perfect for resting and enjoying the lush trees and flowers. Located next door to the main villa is the charming one bedroom Little Sand Dollar cottage which leads to its own white sand beach as well. <br /><br />The cottage provides an additional 1,400 of living space. Fully air-conditioned, Little Sand Dollar offers a full kitchen, bathroom and a private covered balcony overlooking sparkling Magen�s Bay. Please note that Little Sand Dollar is only available for rental when the main house/Sand Dollar is rented. The Little Sand Dollar Cottage is never rented to another group or family. For those who are dreaming of an elegantly furnished villa with the full complement of creature comforts all set on a gorgeous tropical shore, Sand Dollar Estate is sure to please! <br /><br />****** NOTE ****** Please note that 1-6 guests will have the use of Sand Dollar's main level only (3 bedrooms but NOT the pool level suites). 7-12 guests have use of Sand Dollar's main level and pool level bedroom suites (6 bedrooms total). Guests may add the use of a sofabed and/or rollaway bed in bedroom alcoves for an additional $100 per person/per night in any of Sand Dollar Estate's bedrooms which provide these additional sleeping accommodations. <br /><br /><strong>Guests only have the use of Little Sand Dollar when they pay the rate for 13+ guests in addition to Sand Dollar's 6 bedrooms.</strong></p>

  Family Vacation & Wedding in Paradise...

  To sum up our trip to the Sand Dollar Estate in one word I would have to call the trip¦Magical. We had a few criteria when looking for the best location to have our wedding; it needed to be in a tropical location, we wanted to hold the ceremony on the beach and we wanted to keep the intimacy and privacy that you would find when holding it in your own home, we found this all and more at the Sand Dollar Estate. First of all, the pictures don\'t do the property justice, it is even more spectacular in person; being there just takes your breath away. My now husband and I had both our immediate families stay at the property, 14 of us in total and the home is so large everyone was able to spread out comfortably and find their own place of peace and tranquility if that\'s what they were going for, or if we wanted to get together in a larger group, this home is set up for fun! If we weren\'t snorkeling in the water (which is so warm and crystal clear! Don\'t forget to bring your snorkel) or swimming in the pool, our families were all together on the deck playing bean bag toss, telling stories and taking in the views; we left saying this was the most memorable family vacation we have ever had, and that\'s completely aside from the fact that we also got married! Having the Sand Dollar Estate and Magen\'s Bay as the back drop for our wedding was a dream come true, I had set up everything in St. Thomas (the caterers, hair dresser, photographer, florists, steel pan drummer, dj) sight unseen, no taste testing or trial runs of anything which not knowing could have been stressful for any bride but everything was absolutely fantastic, all the vendors in the area are top notch and my guests (we more than comfortably fit 45 people) left raving about the food and our wedding cake (this cake was the best cake I have ever had!). So if you are thinking about holding your wedding at the Sand Dollar and are uneasy about not being able to test things out before hand, please no worries, you will be in great hands with the vendors at the Sand Dollar Estate! Now both our families, who became so close over the week, are already planning another trip back very soon! Next time I go though, I don\'t think I\'ll rent a car because we barely left the estate there was so much to do, when you are already in the most beautiful location in St. Thomas, why would you go anywhere else! P.S. A HUGE thank you to Bob (the Sand Dollar manager). Bob is the man!!

  Perfect Escape from a Chicago Winter!

  We picked this house for our family reunion last month (January 2011) and we couldn\'t have made a better choice!! Not only was there plenty of room for all of us to relax, but there was also so much to do without even having to leave the property. The views were incredible, and the house was kept in amazing condition. Spending time at the Sand Dollar was the perfect way to get away from a chilly Chicago winter and the perfect place for my family to enjoy a vacation together.

  Perfect Family Reunion

  What a joy it must be to know how Sand Dollar affects the lives of those who are fortunate enough to visit. From the moment we arrived, we knew it was the house we wanted to share with our family. The reunion was so special on many levels. All of our children, grandchildren and great grandchildren were able to join us. This is a piece of heaven on earth. The beach was spectacular as were the house, gardens and wildlife. There were always something to entertain everyone. There are no words to describe our laughter, love and appreciation. The owner and staff were very helpful, especially Bob, the Property Manager. He helped us cook the fish we caught from the beach every night. We cannot ask for a better company. We will be back next year!
