Additional Location Information
These are the top five reasons for visiting La Champêtre du Massif:
First: for the house itself, simply. For its coziness, views, and charm.
Second: location, location, location. Our home is in the centre of UNESCO recognized Charlevoix region. It is located 50 minutes from Quebec City, recognized for its unique and charming european style. Also, a popular destination, Montreal, is 3.5 hours away.
Thirdly, outdoors enthusiasts will be well served by the Charlevoix region. For the avid skiers, the house is also located 10 minutes from Le Massif (www.lemassif.com), the highest vertical - east of the Canadian Rockies. From the house, one can also enjoy many different sports and leisure activities, such as hiking and cycling.
Fourth, Baie-St-Paul, located only 10 minutes from the cottage, has a collection of art galleries, cafés, restaurants and shops. This is no surprise as the region hosts, year after year, many artists that portray the splendors of the natural surroundings and a trail of admirers of the same beauty. There is a panoramic road along the St. Lawrence River passing through many picturesque villages leading to Casino de Charlevoix, located at La Malbaie. The region is also famous for its "produits du terroir" that includes many exquisite cheeses.
Finally, there are two natural jewels in the region. These are provincial parks called : "Le parc national des Grands-Jardins" (a taste of Quebec's far North - where a small herd of caribou lives) and "Le parc National des Hautes-Gorges-de-la-Rivière-Malbaie" (our family's favourite in Quebec).

London/TorontoWonderful stay!
Left on 03/26/2013 for a stay in March 2013
We enjoyed the cottage. It is beautiful, well appointed and has wonderful views. The hot tub was wonderful after a long day of skiing.
We really thought the cottage was well laid out. It was very open and bright but at the same time there were basically two separate entertainment rooms with doors that closed and contained the noise.
Beautiful kitchen for cooking and socializing!
We really enjoyed our stay!

PincourtLovely chalet
Left on 01/14/2013 for a stay in February 2012
Your chalet is really really beautiful. It is so cozy and the location is simply breathtaking. Only one word comes to mind to describe Le Massif: fantastic! We all enjoyed our weekend and already thinking about next year. I have no negative comments. The organization of your cottage is great! It could not be better. Thank you again!

OttawaBeautiful home in Charlevois
Left on 12/17/2012 for a stay in September 2011
Our stay in your chalet was delightful despite the weather on our arrival day. Your home is beautifully equipped with everything we needed for a great visit to the Charlevoix region. The house is very spacious with lots of room for the 5 of us to stay comfortably. It could easily accommodate more. We loved everything about our trip there. We couldn't have been more pleased with our accommodations. Thank you very much.

St-Étienne-de-LauzonA wonderful home!
Left on 12/17/2012 for a stay in August 2011
We were two families (a total of 9 persons) residing in this wonderful residence for one week and we cherished every moment! The owners seemed to have thought of everything to make our lives easier and their attention to details positively impacted the quality of our stay. Kitchen is very well kitted. Everthing you could possibly need is on hand. Beds are so comfy! Everything was clean and crisp. It was a memorable vacation! Long life to this warm and incredibly cozy house! What a spot! August was beautiful - great wheather - but I can only imagine what it must look like under a few feet of snow. Magic!
