Berkeley, CAGorgeous and extremely comfortable retreat-like home with lots o
Left on 04/22/2013 for a stay in March 2013
I have rented this home a number of times over the past 10 years. It is a beautiful, spacious, and well-appointed home. Sitting in an open meadow but with lots of surrounding woods is the best of both worlds for me--plenty of sunshine coupled with all the views and wildlife that come with woodsy retreats.
The house is comfortably furnished with fully stocked kitchen (meaning dishes/pots/appliances/etc.), great books and games and is extremely kid friendly. Spacious enough for large parties, yet intimate with good central hang out areas.
The best thing for me about this house is the location and the land. There are endless exploration options both on the property and around the area. I love to walk in the woods around the house, explore the creek that crosses the property, cross the suspension bridge, and hike the road to the top of the ridge behind the house. In town, Philo and Boonville both have plenty of fun places to go. The experience of "getting away from it all" is strong, yet I can still have my latte fix and people watch in town if I want.
The owners have always been responsive and accomodating. I highly recommend renting the dome! -

San Francisco, CAAwesome place!
Left on 08/29/2012 for a stay in December 2011
We loved the Dome! It was the perfect place to retreat with friends for a post-Christmas break. It was very spacious with all your typical (and more) household commodities. There was a toy room with a card board castle (!) and shelves of books for reading. We spent many evenings just sitting in the living room, relaxing by the fireplace. Great vacation. Very secluded.

BerkeleyWe loved the Dome!
Left on 12/07/2011 for a stay in November 2011
We just had such a wonderful weekend in the Dome. It comfortably fit two families of four, the kitchen is *really* nice for a rental house and we loved the open living/dining area -- perfect for a fun family getaway. We had 4 small children between us and there were tons of toys and games for them to play with. The land is beautiful -- again a kids paradise with meadows, the creek, play structure etc. And the location can't be beat -- Husch, Navarro & Roderer wineries are about 2 minutes away. The anderson valley is stunning, especially this fall with gorgeous trees turning and the leaves on all the grapevines as well. We had a ball and would love to go again to check out the western part of the valley closer to the coast.

i loved the incredible morning view, sipping tea and feeling the warmth of the stove, gazing at the fog over the meadow. relaxing in the hot tub and looking up at the stars at night, and cozying up in the huge comfy bed afterwards. walks through the woods, time by the creek, apples in the garden-- this place is wonderful.
