Hillsborough, CAAbsolutely Wonderful!
Left on 05/07/2013 for a stay in May 2013
My husband and I just returned from Phoenix. The attractively decorated Lynwood apartment #5 is a perfect place to stay as it is located 1 block away from the metro, and major museums. The apartment is fresh, clean and has all the ammendments anyone would want in an apartment. It has agreat kitchen with new appliances. Upon arrival, there was fresh baked banana bread, wine and beer for us to enjoy. You couldn't ask for better hosts. Paul was easily available if you needed anything. My husband and I would recommend this apartment as one of the best places to stay while visiting Phoenix!

My husband and I spent a week relaxing in central Phoenix at Lynwood Quarters. This was a great place for us to call home base.
The neighbourhood is quiet and safe, a close walk to multiple restaurants and coffee shops, the metro and the library. The unit is perfect for 1-2 people, there is a fully equipped kitchen as well as laundry machines tucked in the bathroom. It is very close to the art district, museums, airport as well as several interstates, which allows for quick and easy travel.
Paul was exceptionally helpful, he has a couple of binders full of information in the house. We communicated via text message with Paul and that worked very well. Check in and out were a breeze!

We just finished a month at Lynwood Quarters. It was a wonderful stay. The apartment was exactly as advertised and the landlord could not be more accomodating. Situated in the historical/cultural part of Phoenix it is located near many of the museums and city central. The Metro is a block away but you do not have to travel far by automobile to see anything you want. It's a 20-25 minute ride to Scottsdale if you want an outing. We enjoyed the privacy of having our own residence as opposed to a staying at a resort. The neighbors there are outstandingly friendly. If your the kind of person who wants to really get a feel for the culture of Phoenix then this is the place to go. The arizona Center downdown is in the middle of the city and has an aMC theatre, places to eat and beautiful gardens. There is always something happening so buying a newspaper is a must. However, the landlord sends you emails weekly to inform you of special events as well as as supplying you with all the reading materials and brochures you need to ensure familiarity with the area and what it has to offer. I would stay there again in a heart beat!

My friend/colleague and I rented this beautiful property when attending a conference at the Phoenix Convention Center. Paul kindly waited for us even though we arrived close to midnight and had made us delicious banana bread. The place is clean, gorgeously decorated, and quiet. Everything worked perfectly and the shower had strong pressure, like having a massage. Paul had organized a binder with all the details about the condo and surrounding areas, and the location was great. It was a pleasant 20 minute walk to the Convention Center, and CVS and Old Spaghetti Factory were right around the corner. We felt safe and comfortable staying in this cute, residentially area. Paul was exceptional. He was kind, generous, reliable and prompt in returning emails and calls. If we are ever visiting again this would be our number one choice to stay. It was absolutely wonderful!

My husband and I enjoyed a recent visit to Phoenix and couldn't have found a nicer property to stay in. Having worked for a property management company in Sun Valley Idaho, I can assure you that this unit has everything necessary to please guests and then some. It is located in a safe, quiet neighborhood just a short walk from the light rail system, has a fully equipped kitchen, lots of towels and hot water, the bed is comfortable, the Internet service fast and reliable, the air conditioner works great (and isn't too noisy) and the layout is spacious for a one bedroom unit. We found everything to be in excellent condition and the owner, Paul, is a delight to work with. I can't imagine anyone staying here and not being thoroughly pleased!

This is a wonderful place to stay in Phoenix. I was in the city for a conference and could walk or use light rail (which was less than a block away) to get to the downtown area. The neighborhood is very safe and a real pleasure to walk through because of the beautiful old bungalow style houses nearby.
The owners were very, very gracious and helpful...with everything. When I arrived in the evening they were there to greet me and show me around the property (which is beautifully designed). In the suite there was wine on the counter and in the fridge, homemade banana bread, coffee, tea, cream...everything I needed to settle in. Nothing has been overlooked...this fun little, colorful one bedroom apartment with patio is perfect for an extended stay. I highly recommend it. -

My wife and I loved our extended stay at Lynwood Quarters. This condo is cozy, comfortable, peaceful, and tastefully decorated in Southwestern themes. It offers a central location and is only a 5-minute walk to the Light Rail Station. This condo was just superb in every way!! I must make special mention of the condo owner (Paul). Paul offers unsurpassed hospitality and is quickly available should you have a special need. Don't waste your time staying at a downtown hotel ... Stay at Lynwood Quarters and have a wonderful experience. You may even see the wild parrots, hummingbirds, and yellow finches outside your window every morning around 7am!!

From the time we first contacted Paul to our checkout the experience was amazing. Paul was easy to communicate with, very accomodating and helpful throughout our 6 day stay. The condo was very tastefully decorated and spotless. It's location made it easy to get to downtown Phoenix by rail or get onto the freeway to head out to one of the various ballgames we were there to attend. If we make it back to Phoenix for Spring Training again, Paul will be our first call. First Rate Five Stars!

We loved our stay here. Everything was well decorated and clean. It was great to have our own washer and dryer. Paul had provided us with several amenities which made us feel welcome. He went out of his way to make sure that we could find our way around town. He went out of his way to provide us with information so that we could go to some spring training games. Our computer was down and we were close to the library so we walked to the library so that we could use their computers to stay in contact with our family back home. There were restaurants within walking distance. We felt very safe. We could walk around at night. We would stay here again.

Left on 03/05/2012 for a stay in February 2012
Paul Hopkins was very helpful and attentive to our questions and requests without being intrusive. The apartment was basic but clean and comfortable. Appliances were modern and a washer and dryer was great. The location was great and located in a tree-lined street in a historic district. We had parking in a safe off street place.
Being in a city was an adventure for us. We enjoyed the city and short rides took us to the natural wonders of arizona which were important to us. Essentially it was as good or better than advertised

We thought this apartment was in a great location--very close to the main museums, the freeway, the library, and public transportation. Aside from that, the apartment itself was just delightful. It was also absolutely spotless and very well equipped for our 12-day stay. Paul, the owner, was wonderful--he's a very conscientious landlord! We were extremely happy with the apartment, and we would definitely use it again!

I really enjoyed staying at Lynwood. The house was comfortable, very clean, and Paul was very thoughtful in the way he furnished the home, he provided everything I needed for my extended stay (washer and dryer, laundry soap, wine key etc..). The location cannot be beat, I was able to walk down the street and catch the light rail (take the light rail to avoid downtown parking fees) with proximity to restaurants, shops, museums. Lynwood is in the historic district and the neighborhood was very charming, especially at Christmas with the palm lined streets and the lights. I would definitely stay here again and I am recommending this place to friends.

Left on 12/08/2011 for a stay in October 2011
I stayed at Lynwood Quarters for six weeks in the fall of 2011 while on a short-term work asignment in Phoenix. What a joy!
The neighborhood is quiet, yet filled with friendly neighbors. The landscaping is lush and green, not like most of Phoenix's desert-like conditions. The apartment is decorated in vibrant color and is outfitted with everything you could possibly need during your stay.
The apartment is within walking distance of everything you'll need: restaurants/cafes/wine bars, library, drugstore, grocery, museums, theaters, and the Metro station. No need to be concerned if you don't have a vehicle during your stay; you can even "take the train to the plane" (Metro light rail to Phoenix Sky Harbor airport).
Your host Paul is very kind and welcoming. Anything you need will be covered. He's available, but not intrusive.
I hope you enjoy your stay as much as I did! -

We had never stayed in Phoenix before so we wanted to be downtown to get a feel for the genuine Phoenix. Scottsdale and the gated communities with pools are nice but you can get those anywhere (although admittedly not with a desert view). We liked the fact we could jump on the light-rail and get down to the theater district in 10 minutes. We also walked to the Heard Museum twice and the Phoenix Modern art Museum once. (Lunch at the Heard is to be recommended even if you are not visiting the exhibits that day.) There's a coffee house/pizza bisto around the corner and a Starbucks a block further. Enjoyed a French restaurant five minutes away that offered a different wine with each of the four courses in their table d'hôte.
The apartment itself is spacious enough for two and tastefully appointed. We also ate outside on the small patio almost every night that we stayed in. The local Safeway was a five minute drive so it was easy to get fresh food every day.
Paul was extremely gracious and went out of his way to give helpful suggestions. He even bought a Blue Ray DVD when we said we'd like to watch some Dvds and then lent us some from his collection.
Just because we were downtown didn't mean we neglected to play golf. There is one municipal course just 7 minutes away and several more municipal ones within 15 or 20 minutes. The ones in Scottsdale are about 25 minutes away once you learn the highway system.
If you're looking for a charming urban view of arizona you can't go wrong with this apartment.

We prefer immersing ourselves in a community, so staying at a Phoenix golf or resort community did not appeal to us. Lynwood Quarters, in the Rosevelt Historic District was just the ticket. It is in a safe, residential community, just off of a major avenue and a block from the Metro Rail, with access to most of Phoenix art and museum locations. We'll go back.

From the moment we arrived on Christmas Day until our reluctant departure five weeks later, this was the ultimate holiday.
Despite the lateness of the hour, we were personally greeted by our landlord Paul, who stocked the fridge and bar and even baked us a loaf of banana bread.
We can't say enough good things about our hosts, who were attentive and gracious without being intrusive. We had a small problem with the washing machine and it was instantly fixed without fuss or bother.
The rental accommodation was charming, the street friendly and safe and close to almost everything we wanted to see and do. We walked to museums, the symphony and movies. The metro was nearby for longer trips.
The suite is cheerful and beautifully decorated, with an intimate private courtyard for those warm, blue sky afternoons. By the end of our stay we truly felt this was our second home. We can't wait for the next visit.

Condo was tastefully decorated with complete kitchen, bath and even a washer/dryer -- it was wonderful and had all the things needed for a week stay! Located close to grocery, coffee house, restaurants, metro and we felt completely safe and secure! Lynwood Street is beautiful and quiet - the condo's front patio puts this place over the top! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again! We rate it a 10 overall.
