Mesa, AZWondeful!
Left on 04/22/2013 for a stay in April 2013
My husband and I stayed here for a staycation in april. We wanted a place where we could walk to dinner, have some privacy, and feel like we were out of town. This place was perfect. Easy walking distance to all the things downtown, comfortable, clean, and close to pool and spa! We love this place and all the amenities, everything we needed was there and it was much easier than going to a hotel because we did not have to pack every little thing. We decided we will be staying here from now on whenever we go to a sporting event or concert downtown.

Great location...walked everywhere downtown. This is our second year staying in the upper unit. Last year we stayed 4 weeks and this year we stayed 3 weeks. Lots of windows, very cheery, trees right outside windows so it is like being in a tree house! Very clean and comfortable. Owners are very nice.

We attended a conference in downtown Phoenix and stayed in the upstairs apartment. It was perfect for us. It was so clean and quiet. The grounds are like a little oasis. Trees and fountains, hot tub across the parking lot. We hung out by the pool one afternoon. Lots of little extras too, like travel brochures and maps. Brent even has a nice selection of Dvd's which we enjoyed.
The location is great! We could have walked everywhere but we wanted to do some hiking and enjoy the greater area a bit. We purchased groceries at the nearby Safeway and had most of our meals in the condo. There are many good restaurants nearby though.
We would love to stay again if we ever get back to Phoenix.Response from Brett - 03/06/2013

Palm Bay, FLGreat experience in Phoenix!
Left on 11/15/2012 for a stay in October 2012
We rented two units from Brett for a week long stay--both were in excellent condition! My husband and I stayed in the downstairs unit, while the rest of the family was in the upstairs unit, and that was very convenient for us! Each enjoyed some privacy, while being close enough to go to each others' unit for coffee in the morning, or meals later! Each unit was well stocked and had all of the things we needed, including plenty of towels (for showering and the pool), plus games and movies. For my husband, it was an easy walk to the Phoenix Convention Center. For the rest of us, it was an even easier walk to the arizona Science Center. (Side note--ASC is a great place for kids; we enjoyed it on two different days.) You are also an easy walk to public transportation; we only used that once because we also rented a car, but the system is very nice. The grounds were well kept, as were the pools and spas. Brett was very responsive to our questions, and he welcomed us personally and went over procedures and amenities. Our overall experience was exceptional, and at half the price we were quoted for hotels in the downtown area! We would recommend these units to anyone staying in this area of Phoenix!

Groton MABest value near the Convention Center!
Left on 11/04/2012 for a stay in September 2012
This condo is the best value for a place to stay near the Convention Center!
We stayed four nights in Brett's first floor condo while attending a conference at the Convention Center. We enjoyed being able to cool off in the pool and walk easily back and forth to the Convention Center and to the restaurants at the arizona Center. Great lunches at The Corner Bakery (it would also have been a great choice for breakfast, but we ate that 'at home') and a delicious dinner at the Greek Restaurant followed by ice cream at Coldstone Creamery. The condo was spotless, with comfy bed, full kitchen, washer and dryer and everything we needed - even hair dryer and iron. We arrived late in the evening and did not have a car, so took Brett up on his offer to purchase groceries for us ahead of time. This worked out well, as there are virtually no grocery or convenience stores nearby. Eventually we did find a CVS at 50 W. Jefferson, which had plenty of breakfast and lunch/snack items to buy.
One tip for getting around, and giving directions to a taxi driver: You need to distinguish between streets and avenues as there is a big difference between 7th street and 7th aVE.
We would definitely stay here again if we had reason to visit Phoenix again.

Worcester, MassachusettsJust as good as advertised
Left on 07/02/2012 for a stay in May 2012
Great first floor 1-bedroom unit in downtown Phoenix. Easy in & out for my father who walks with a cane. Safe area with easy access to everything in the downtown area. Well stocked kitchen made cooking easy (spices, pans, assorted provisions). Of course we made use of the pool and spa, both of which were quite nice - as were the friendly neighbors, most of whom seemed to be year-round residents (which means the pool wasn't full of vacationers and the complex was quiet). Contract was off-putting, but we were comfortable with our dealings with the owner. For the same price as a hotel room we got about 4 times as much space - and so much more! It was a very comfortable space for us three adults (King bed plus futon). If you plan to have company ask for an extra parking pass. Thanks, Brett for a great stay.

Left on 06/30/2012 for a stay in June 2012
This was our first time renting a condo instead of a hotel suite. We were a little wary, but this was a delightful surprise. The owner was friendly and welcoming. He had created an environment that was very attractive and absolutely complete. Everything we could possibly need was there, plus extras. It was easy to feel at home! In spite of the heat outside the condo remained cool and comfortable (the fan a little loud- but so worth it). It was also very quiet and peaceful.. We never heard a sound from neighbors. Parking was easy and the condo complex secure. The grounds were lovely; surrounded by trees, ponds, and singing birds- all a block and a half from the Convention Center. We stayed for a week and will look forward to returning.

loved these condos. We rented both as we needed to accomodate 6 people, tho we could have had 2 more. 4 gals shared one which worked great. They were nicely outfitted with all the amenities. I liked the gated community as it felt safe and it was super quiet! The conference center was within walking distance which was great and there are tons of eateries around. We never had time for the pool but we heard there were two! The owner was great and very helpful!! He was there to meet us and show us around. I would most definitely rent these condos again!

This rental property was a clean, well-maintained property within walking distance to Chase Field and U.S. Airways Center. My brother, father, and I attended three baseball games at Chase Field. The walk was very short (5-10 minutes max.) and the walk was well-lit at night and overall quite safe. I would absolutely stay here again. Thanks for the great place at a reasonable rate!

Left on 02/21/2012 for a stay in January 2012
Excellent experience. My wife and I were going to stay at a hotel while attending our trade show at the Phoenix Convention Center but found the ad for the condo from Wingate Condos. Brett, the owner of the condo was wonderful to work with. He even bought us groceries after we arrived because we didn't have a car to drive to the supermarket. The condo was very nice and very comfortable. The location was perfect, about 3 blocks to the Convention Center entrance. The bed was great, the kitchen had everything we needed. It was so much nicer than a hotel and we saved about $200 by staying in the condo. I hope we have another convention there so we can return to Brett's condo.

It was totally as described. Great location in downtown Phoenix, lots to see, many good eating places and a good base for the whole area. The condo has all the amenities anyone would need - gated, secure and with our own parking spot. Brett, thanks for all your helpful info and suggestions - you are a caring owner.

The location of the condo allowed me to get to all the program venues for the PF Chang's marathon. The condo is in a very quiet area in the heart of downtown PHX and the unit was in good condition. Some furniture/appliances could be updated but ample room and amenities but no washer and dryer. Area Information and good support was made available by the manager of the unit Brett. Overall a very good stay. I would rent again in the future.

Came to the Phoenix area with my fiance to escape the snow during the winter. This was our best vacation ever! Clean! Clean! The location couldn't be better, walking distance to everything and more than enough to do in a growing and vibrant downtown city. Brett was very easy to deal with, answered all questions and made this a very memorable weekend with all his hospitality! Recommending this to all our friends!!!

We just got back from Phoenix and was I ever happy about my choice on where to stay.
This is truly the perfect Phoenix location, the hot tub is just a few feet away from the door which is used every night. The condo itself is so comfy, it felt like we were at a home away from home. Everything you need is there. All the kitchen appliances you'd ever need, Cable TV and DVD Player, Nice big King size bed and a futon in the living room. The Grounds and swimming pool areas are kept very clean and well maintained. Right across the street you can go eat at a trendy italian restaraunt, sample some great wines at "the winery" or just go have a great time and shoot a few games of pool at the local British Pub. If you're a Science buff, the Phoenix Science Center and Imax theater is right across the street. We also wanted to go visit Scottsdale and it was only about a 10-15 min drive.
If you're a baseball or basketball fan, you're only minutes away from the Professional teams stadiums as well. Also very close to a very cool mall and The Phoenix Museum of art. When we go back to Phoenix we will for sure get the same condo

We stayed here for 5 days in december (family of 4) and found it to be a very clean and comfortable stay. The owner is very hospitable and went out of his way to check us in and out and make sure everything was to our satisfaction. We did a bunch of day trips (north, south, east, and west) and found the location to be very central and convenient. Will definitely consider staying here again if we visit Phoenix again.

During a volleyball tournament in downtown Phoenix our family opted to stay in a condo vs. hotel. Great call! The owner is super nice; condo clean and walking distance to the Convention Center and the arizona Center. I didn't use my car once! Another plus is there are no keys to lose or misplace. Gates and locks are coded. Also, hotels charge $10 per day for parking and charges for wi-fi. Available and free at the condo.

My cousin and I stayed here with our kids for the MLB all Star game. This was a perfect spot due to the fact that we could walk to the stadium and the convention center for Fan Fest. We did the walk everyday with kids from the ages of 6-12. We choose this place because of the location and we weren't disappointed. The condo itself was great and Brett was so easy to work with. I would stay here again!

Left on 05/10/2011 for a stay in April 2011
This condo is so convenient to all activities including places to eat, shop, Ball Park, convention center and the college.
This place is clean and comfortable. The spa is right there making it a great way to unwind after a long day, in our case on the golf course. The convenience to the freeway makes this a great choice if you want to be central to all major areas.
Brett, the owner and manager, was great to! He met us there and showed us everything we needed to know about the place and had even stocked the kitchen with snacks, coffee and fruit. The kitchen was fully appointed with all the cooking utensils we needed to prepare our own food, saving us both time and money.
I highly recommend this condo to anyone looking for a location in Phoenix.

Price, UTBeautiful condo close to downtown
Left on 05/09/2011 for a stay in February 2011
This condo is in a fantastic location for any downtown activity! You have Chase Stadium a block away with a really fun TGI Fridays overlooking the outfield. The light rail line is along this street and really easy to use for longer treks. We took it to the Heard Museum which has art and culture of the Native american people.Near that museum is the Phoenix art museum which was very large and diverse. Down another block is the arizona Center where you'll find a movie theater, restaurants and shops. We ate at Sam's Cafe where the food and margaritas were amazing. Also a block away from the arizona Center you find the Downtown Phoenix ambassador Information Center. The ambassadors wear orange shirts and are available every day to help with places to eat, escorting you to your destination, transportation info and anything else you want to know. They were very friendly and helpful. Directly across the street from the condo gate in Heritage Square is Pizzeria Bianco. Don't leave Phoenix without eating there. It is just the like pizza we ate in Italy. It's a very small restaurant and the wait is long so after you get your name on the list, either sit at the bar next door or wait at the condo. In Heritage Square we took a tour of the Rosson House Museum which is a restored 1895 Victorian mansion and absolutely beautiful. We also went to a small doll museum near the Rosson House. We were able to see the Cubs at spring training which was only a 20 minute drive to Hohokam stadium in Mesa. As for the condo, all I can say is beautiful! It's clean and comfortable and nicely decorated and the cost is much less than hotels in the area. There is a full kitchen which we enjoyed for breakfast and tea. Just out the door is a small heated swimming pool with a larger (cooler) pool a bit farther away. It is also gated which made me feel very safe. Brett is very personable and can offer eating and entertainment tips. When it was time to go home the taxi fare to the airport was just $15.
