Appartamento Cosima is a romantic apartment of 30 square meters (approximately 320 square feet) which sleeps two people. It has a shared terrace with a view of the sea and of Sorrento . It is 6 km (approximately 3.8 miles) from Sorrento. It is equipped with air conditioning.

It has one bedroom with a double bed and an en-suite bathroom with shower, and a living room with kitchenette.

The location and the swimming pool

Appartamento Cosima is part of an ancient country house, which has been restored and divided into eight small vacation apartments. The country house is located on the hill that overlooks Sorrento, at 6 km (3.8... miles) from Sorrento and 8 km (5 miles) from Positano , in a panoramic position.

As a matter of fact, you will be on the narrow ridge that separates the Gulf of Naples from the Gulf of Salerno , and thus the Sorrento Coast from the Amalfi Coast. No matter which road you travel in this area, you will have before your eyes breathtaking views of the two coasts.

The country house is situated next to a tourist complex made up of historical buildings and natural beauties, which offers tourist and sport activities. Playing fields and courts and a large swimming pool with a bar are scattered around the many acres of the century-old park of the complex, rich in oaks, holm-oaks and many valuable arboreous species. Guests of Appartamento Cosima have access to the nice and large swimming pool of the resort. It is open from mid-June until mid-September.

Excellent restaurants are available nearby.

The house

Appartamento Cosima is on the first floor. You will reach it walking through a lovely patio filled with flowers and climbing a stairway of 20 steps. On the patio you will find tables and chairs to relax outdoor. This space is shared with the guests of two other apartments.

You will enter a lovely living room. In the living room you fill find a kitchenette, a table and chairs. The kitchen area is equipped with a four-burner cooker and a refrigerator with freezer. From the living room, you will reach the bedroom with a double bed and en-suite bathroom. From the window of the bedroom you will have a wide view of the valley and of the sea.

The apartment it is furnished in a pleasant and accurate way, in the characteristic style of the Sorrento countryside. There will be air conditioning, winter heating, telephone and a safe.

The terrace

A roof terrace, equipped with tables and deck chairs and shared with the other guests of the country house, will be at your disposal. Here you will be able to enjoy the sun and admire a 360-degree view of Sorrento, of the Gulf of Naples and of the verdant surrounding hills. The terrace can be illuminated to pleasantly relax "al fresco" in the evening. It will be nice to wait for the sunset on the sea in the evening, with a glass of good wine in your hands, and enjoy the show of the lights that are turned on along the coast.

Nearby tourist attractions

The closest villages to Appartamento Cosima are Colli di Fontanelle , at 1 km (half a mile) and Piano di Sorrento , at 2 km (1 mile). At 50 meters (yards) there is a restaurant, and at 150 meters (yards) a grocery store.

The bus stop for Piano di Sorrento is at approximately 20 meters (20 yards).

You will be able to park your car nearby along the road, free of charge.

Staying at Appartamento Ercole you will be in a central position to discover Sorrento and the incomparable beauty of the entire Coast of Sorrento and Amalfi, of Capri , Ischia and the other islands of the Gulf of Naples.

From Sorrento it is possible to take day trips with fast, comfortable and inexpensive ferries to Capri and the other islands of the Gulf, to Naples, Positano, Amalfi and Salerno.

Moreover, if you are fond of archaeology, from Sorrento you will be able to easily reach Pompeii , Herculaneum and Paestum by train.

The towns along the coast are connected by the efficient and inexpensive Sita bus network.

If you are fond of hiking, along the mountains of the two coasts (the Amalfi Coast and the Sorrento Coast) you will find marked hiking trails of varying degree of difficulty. The trails unravel among steep drops down to the sea and seascapes of indescribable beauty: the exclusive prize for those who are able to get there!

It will definitely be a unforgettable stay!

  Basic, but clean and comfortable base from which to explore this area.
  Excellent service from the agent and apartment manager.
  I have to suggest that a car is essential if you intend to stay here; the apartment is a strenuous 1.5 hour walk from Sorrento! A shop and hotel/restaurant are 10 minutes walk, but that's about it. With transport you are only 5 minutes from the scenic amalfi coast road.
  The apartment is part of a small complex of 6/7 other properties, but our stay was low season, so we had it to ourselves. The shared terrace has super views and plenty of room.
  The complex is on a relatively quiet but bendy road. The tooting of car horns starts at 7am; have earplugs if this is likely to bother you. I might expect this little annoyance is quite common for the area!
  With so little to criticise in this budget accommodation, I'd recommend it as excellent value for money.
