Buena Vista Lodge is a one of a kind retreat, with nearly 10000 square feet of lodge building with 3000 plus feet of private lake front and a private island. It has over 70 acres of mature woods with hiking trails to explore. Located on Pickerel Lake (1300 acres) with a small boat connection to Crane Lake (400 acres) it offers a sandy swimming beach, fishing, and boating right from the property.
BV Lodge is a four seasons private retreat in the middle of snowmobile trails, cross country skiing, Wolf river rafting and ATV trails all in the immediate area.

If you are considering staying at this lodge, you will not be disappointed if you do.
It is truely more beautiful and spacious than the pictures show.
We had a family vacation with 11 adults and 10 kids aged 8-12.
The beds were quite comfortable and the dressers and closets were roomy enough for all of our belongings.
The laundry facilities, with the pre-loaded washing machine and duel stacked dryers were used a lot for our personal items and the daily use of towels.
The kitchen had everything we needed for our large group. The double oven and refrigerator space was perfect for all of our needs. We had enough dining room space for us all eat together. That was definately a plus.
The beach is very kid friendly. The lake water is quite clear and shallow for a long way out. Our kids kayaked, used the paddle boat, floated on tubes and jumped off the dock repeatedly.
The fishing was fair to good at times. We caught a few fish. One of our 12 year old boys even caught a 21" bass.
Having this entire property to our selves for the week was one of the best vacations ever...! -

Sussex WIBest Family vacation Ever

We had a family reunion with family from Europe and the Middle East and the Buena Vista lodge was better than we could have imagined. We loved everything about the Buena Vista lodge, from the comfortable beds to the dining room that easily accommodated 20+ people. Our group included 5 children and and 87 year old Oma with walking disabilities. It was perfect for all of us. Ther grounds were private and we felt as though we were on our own island. It is unlikely we could stay at a better place and we were thrilled to stay there for a week. We had an awesome week and everyone would love to come back. A big thank you to the owners for making this family reunion such a memorable occasion. Carol
