Cherry tree cottage was a great little find and we will most definately be visiting again. There's everything you need within walking distance and the log burner turns the cottage into a cosy Warm retreat after a day visiting Whitby, Scarborough or the North York moors! Free Wifi was fantastic too, will take the laptop with me next time! :-)

We were met by the proprietor who had just finished cleaning. He showed us where the key was an how everything worked. The cottage was clean, tidy, plenty of wood for woodburner and full of character. We loved the mezzanine bedroom and the shower room. Kitchen was very good with plenty of cutlery and crockery. Lots of info on area and a special offer for a meal at the Indian restaurant nearby. Nothing we disliked about it as it was all as described.

Service was excellent, everything was as described. The accommodation was brilliant - roomy, comfortable but practical. Close to amenities but in a peaceful locale. Could spend a long weekend here without a car, lots to do in walking distance. Loads of other places a short drive away, even the coast. Liked the modern facilites mixed with old-style charm, didn't like having to go home!
Unusual but enjoyable

A quirky but comfortable cottage close to all the amenities of Pickering. Its close proximity to the main a170 meant that travel to a raft of places was relatively simple.

Excellent facilities. Friendly warm welcome by owners. Close to all amenities. Buses stopped outside. Enjoyed the challenge of the toilet cistern!!! All in all a great relaxing and memorable break.
