Toronto, CanadaQuiet, comfy, accomodating and pleasant.
Left on 09/01/2012 for a stay in August 2012
We stayed just a few days at this very nice, cozy house in a quiet, residential neighbourhood within about 10 minutes walking distance of Picton's main strip. For farther trips from the house, it's easy to drive to the main road from where you can venture outwards to wineries, beaches, etc.
The house has an appealing country/residential feel, is very clean and perfectly furnished. Upstairs features a cozy-sized room with a bright and gentle ambiance, and a very comfy double bed. Downstairs features a dining room, kitchen, living room, laundry room, bathroom and & front hall space -- all very welcoming. A sofa-bed in the living room provides extra sleeping space if required.
The kitchen has everything you'd want in the way of pots, pans & utensils. Microwave, stove, fridge were all in super condition (no dishwasher). The washer/dryer make things convenient, too -- plus there's a small back room & clothesline in the yard to hang beach towels.
We managed to keep cool enough thanks to an upstairs air conditioner and downstairs fan. Lots of windows, so there was a pleasant amount of sunlight (easily turned down by flipping down the blinds if you so chose) plus many opportunities to allow breezes to billow through.
The front porch is a pleasant place to have an evening sit, or you could share a nice morning coffee with your partner on the modest patio in the back.
Technology-wise, there is free WiFi, and a TV set up for Dvds and Videos (some older movies are available in the house). Tv channels were not available (which was fine by us) simply because the TV was not set up for it. There's no phone, so your cell would be your main contact #.
The manager is very nice, orderly and helpful. We were met on time as promised and any questions were promptly & pleasantly answered. We were well-provided for.
It was a fine experience and we would rent there again. As Goldilocks said, "Just right." -

We stayed july 24 to july 27. We made a good use of the porch. Cooking was easy except that there was no dishwasher. Very quiet and welcoming neighborhood. Be aware of the chestnut tree behind the house; the fruit can hurt when it falls.
