The house is very lived in. Not a typical rented accomodation. Great atmosphere thanks to the several small buildings around the main house. Easy to arrange outside catering when necessary, but great help for everyday lunches and dinners.

When we decided to get married in tuscany, we searched many websites for just the right place to share this experience with a handful of family and friends. Upon viewing the photos I thought "this is it! How gorgeous does this look both inside and out." Upon further investigation, we learned this villa was used for a scene in the movie "Under the Tuscan Sun". How much more perfect could this be. Upon arriving at the villa after what seemed to be an endless day of travel where anything that could have gone wrong did, we could not believe our eyes. This small villa lived up to its giant reputation easily.
The outdoors is filled with beatiful gardens. The aroma is literally breathtaking. The inside is decorated in a way that reminds you of lost time and comfort that is familiar but special. It was staffed by a husband, wife, and son from Moldavia that spoke very little english but very eager to please. They stayed in an adjacent living quarters, and were only seen or heard when you needed them to be or a quick pleasant greeting first thing in the morning as the gentleman was up and about tending the gardens while singing.
On our wedding day the housekeeper came into my room with a beatiful bouquet of flowers. Kissed me and gave me best wishes. Then shooing me off to get ready as if she had known me since childhood.
We held a small "ceremony" in the front garden prior to going into Pienza for the official ceremony.
No one in our group wanted to leave. Over a year later we are all still talking about "our Villa". Yourtuscany.com was instrumental in making this all happen so brilliantly. We certainly could not have managed all of the wedding preparations on our own. Grazie!
