Pietrasnata is between Forte dei marmi and Viareggio.It's art town since the 19th century and it is nowadays the most important place for sculpture in Europe.It is just 4 kms from the sea and the groomed beautiful clean fine sand beaches of Marina di Pietrasanta (anyways there are also some free beaches available).They can all be reached by bus behind the house.Lately Pietrasanta became the most important vip place for restaurants,shops,happy hours and for famous artists'expositions beside the renown art galleries .The near and beautiful Apuane mountains offer refreshment after the beach and a unique setting/view which is very hard to find at the seaside.
For those who love the bicicle there's a byke flat path to the sea,under the trees' shadow.
Pietrasanta is alive all year though:in winter between February and March there's the famous Carneval ,a real cultural event.
Pietrasanta si trova tra Forte dei marmi e Viareggio.E'citta'd'arte dall'800 ed e'tutt'oggi il fulcro piu'importante in Europa per la scultura.Dista solo 4 km dalle curatissime e attrezzate spiagge di sabbia fine di Marina di Pietrasanta ma sulla costa si trovano anche spiagge libere,tutte raggiungibili in autobus dietro casa.E'diventata recentemente la citta'piu'chic e famosa della versilia per aperitivi e apericena,ristoranti,negozi,manifestazioni importanti nonche'per le gia'conosciute e apprezzate gallerie d'arte.Le Apuane a pochi chilometri offrono un un refrigerio nonche'un panorama mozzafiato sui monti peraltro molto raro da trovare in localita'di mare.Le citta'd'arte piu'importanti sono raggiungibili in treno.Per raggiungere il mare c'e'anche una belissima ciclabile alberata interamente pianeggiante per gli appassionati della bicicletta.Pietrasanta e'vitale tutto l'anno.In inverno tra Febbraio e Marzo si svolge il coinvolgente carnevale che e'un vero e proprio evento culturale
