This was our second time staying in a Dollywood Cabin and we wouldn't book with any other cabin company! The cabins are clean and very nicely furnished. We were pleased with the amenities provided in the cabin. We were also very happy with the location in Bear Cove Falls. The cabins are very close, but there is much easier access in the winter than at Starr Crest.
We appreciated that the Dollywood Cabins office was located close by for questions (and pointed us to a much closer grocery store for supplies) and discounted tickets. Also, was able to walk three doors down to the spa for a relaxing morning.
The biggest let down is that the pictures they show were taken before they expanded the resort and added more cabins. There are cabins directly across from the floor to ceiling windows...and their balconies have a direct view into your cabin. This doesn't make for the romantic escape we were hoping for. Lucky for us, most of the cabins were empty in January. While the bottom windows have blinds, the upper ones do not and you do get the feeling you are being watched..
Also, for some reason the bedroom doesn't get warm air flow..so it was freezing in there (even with the furnace cranked up!)
This is a pet friendly cabin, so of course the carpet is a little worn but we were just happy we could take our fur-baby!
Overall, wonderful stay...but next time we will pick a cabin at the top of the hill with a little more seclusion. For $99 a night we were really happy with this cabin! Read more
Thank you for taking the time to review our property. We love to hear from our guest about their stay and what they enjoyed most from their vacation. Bear Cove Falls is a growing resort and we do apologize that the pictures on our website are outdated. The next time you are looking to come back please contact one of our customer service representatives who can help you select a cabin that meets your needs. Thank you for being a loyal Dollywood Cabin Guest.
Dollywood cabin not worth the price
Left on 11/14/2013 for a stay in November 2013 | Mar
The expense of the cabin was not recipricated in service or ammenities. On arrival they provide one small bar of soap in each bathroom, one small liquid dish soap, 2 dishwasher soaps, one coffee packet, no salt and pepper, though there were plenty of towels. For the price you would expect to have extra bars of soap, a full bottle of dishwashing liquid, a full box of dishwasher soap, coffee filters, and basics like salt and pepper.
There were not enough pillows and they were flat and uncomfortable, there was no storage or places to hang towels, there were no hangers in the closet, the bedroom was dark and cold yet the back of the cabin had many large windows in which the sun came in early and heated up the rest of the cabin too warm. The back of the cabin faced other cabins on the hill (not in the photograph) and so there was little privacy at night because the upper windows did not have blinds.
It's possible that I would stay here again but next time I would pick a cabin that had more privacy and I would bring all the supplies with me.
stay was ok just too expensive

Brilliant reception, very nice ladies. The home was even better than hoped, plenty of room, very comfortable, starter pack of dishwasher powder, washing powder, toiletries, etc. was ideal, very helpful and well thought out. Exceptionally clean, with everything we could want or need.
Ideal location for Dollywood, shops, access to the Smokey Mountains but no noise problems if you needed to relax after a strenuous day of enjoyment.
The best thing for both of us was the veranda with swing seat, rocking chairs and hot tub. Sheer bliss!!!

the rugs & windows were dirty. the rugs were so worn that i cut my foot in the bedroom where the rug met the tile. the toilet seat in the 2nd bath was worn and pitted. the closet had a shelf and had no clothes bar to hang your clothes. so when we hung our clothes on the shelf the whole shelf fell to the floor. the quality control of this place is lacking. dollywood management should have a better standard for quality control.
The cabin was beautiful and we loved the hot tub.

We found the cabin to be very, very nice and clean. The bed was really comfortable. We loved using the hot tub. It was so relaxing. We did so much running around though that we didn't get to spend a lot of time at the cabin, but we really loved it and would recommend it to anyone.

The cabin was more then we hoped for. It had amenities that felt like home but we were also able to enjoy being away from home. Even though neighbors were close it was a quiet peaceful environment. We still felt as though we had privacy. The cabin was beautiful. I would recommended it to anyone. The staff was helpful and very nice.
Beautiful and relaxing vacation

This was a perfect location minutes to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. The sleeper sofa's were old and need to be replaced, but the cabin was clean and everything worked properly. I can't wait to come back and visit again.

We enjoyed our stay at this cabin. The staff was really great-they even called to let us know about the parade and to tell us a back way into town so we would avoid all the traffic. Our one issue with the cabin was with the hot tub. It only had about a foot of water in it when we arrived so we had to call and get maintenece to fill it up-and then the water was cold and took a while to warm up.

The cabin itself had all the amenities we needed and the cabin was in pretty good condition, except that some detail needs to be addressed such as exposed/popped nail heads that could cause injury, such as on the rockers. The rear deck is becoming weather-worn and needs to be re-sealed/treated because it will start splintering in another year. The trash service was non-existent. We put trash out on the 2nd day, was told by the office that it would be picked up, but it was still there at the end of our stay. The air hockey table was a nice touch, but the pool table was pretty much unusable. It is not leveled and it is too close to the side wall to be able to make a pool shot (pool stick would go through the window on the back stroke). Previous renters having realized this, evidently moved the table away from the window causing one leg of the table to be broken. Some other type of game system in place of the pool table would be better.
The preferred parking privilege at Dollywood was great because we could leave the park and return very easily even without using the tram. The other discounts for the park and Dixie Stampede were not that great and by themselves would not be a major incentive to stay at Dollywood Cabins versus any of the other cabins available from other companies.
Allmost There has virtually no view to speak of so next time we will likely elect to stay at a cabin higher up the mountain.
No information was provided to us about the pool. It looked like it was ready for use, but we could not tell if it was actually open. The renters info packet in the cabin says the pool is open seasonaly but who knows when the season starts?
