I had a great time at Close to Heaven. The kids loved this cabin and look forward to going back one day. I would just say be prepared to drive up a steep and curvy road.

The upstairs bathtub was 95% clogged.
The vent fan in the downstairs bathroom didn't work.
There was no steps for the hot tub so we couldn't use it.
I would stay at a Patriot supported facility again, but I will learn how to get maintence performed if required. -

I absolutely loved this cabin so much, I did not want to leave! It was so luxurious and beautiful. The only thing I was not prepared for was the drive up to the cabin, but that still was not bad considering the quality of the cabin. I can't wait to go back!

We went Thur Thansgiving the weather was nice and cool. The cabin was close to heaven. It was very clean,dish, pots and pans. It had clean beds. Just like home. We had 10 adults and 3 kids. We would like to go back.

Over the past 16 years our family has rented cabins in the Pigeon Forge area at least 10 times and we've never experienced the extreme problem with roaches (or any other bugs) like this. The cabin itself is ok, but even when we shared our dilema with Patriot Getaway staff, we received excuses about the cabin being located in a "wooded area." The place needs bug bombed about 2-3 times and sprayed on a regular basis. No more rentals from Patriot Getaways for this family!

Jeff, I am sorry your experience with our company was not a good one. I certainly understand how upsetting it must have been to find roaches in the cabin. Our cabins are sprayed by a nationally recognized pet control company regularly. I'm sorry you took our attempt to explain as an excuse. We have had a wet autumn and this increases the likelyhood of 'wood roaches'. These are not the roaches associated with unclean areas, they are wood roaches who look for dry places when their natural environment gets very wet. Again I apologize for inconvenience your family had and I appreciating your taking the time to fill out the survey so that we can see areas where we need to improve our service to our guests

The cabin had a nice view. It was clean and provided things for the kids to do. The trip getting to it was horrible. The road it is located on is very steep. But the general location of the cabin was in a good spot. Not to close to town but not very far away. You can take back roads and stay away from traffic. The people were very helpfun to anything we needed. I only wish the kitchen area was a bit larger. It's a nice size cabin but not for the amount of people it claimed to hold.
