We loved this cabin. It wss close to everything and easy to get to. It does not have a view, but it is very quiet and a very nice cabin. we would stay here again.

This cabin was perfect for us. It was very clean and well kept. Cleanliness is top priority for me when we stay away from home. The beds were very comfortable, the kitchen was supplied with all the cooking equipment we needed. It was located in a beautiful area and very near to the tourist attractions. The picture should be updated, it has a burgandy door now instead of the turquoise one.

The service as far as with getting the cabin over the phone was very good. The lady that worked with us was very nice, and gave us what we wanted. And I love that fact that they send all your info threw your email and give you a number to call that day so that you can get into the cabin. And you dont have to go threw a bunch of people and paper work. As for the cabin its self. It was very beautiful, location grate, even thought there where some people around us u really couldnt tell. The bedrooms very nice. Everything was very cozy and comfortable. What i liked the most about staying at Raccoon's Rest was that everything was very easy to get to. And that when you know your goin there you are goin to get the relaxtion that you are looking for. Now what i liked least about it is that it needs a road sign to find the road its on. If you are goin to go stay there you have to look very carefully for a plank of wood that has the name of the road. Other then that our stay was amazing and we enjoyed it ever much. We would deffently go back when we can.

We loved our weekend away from the city life. We have great cookout and loved the fire place..Even though it was cold that hot tube was warm..We only left cabin to by food. it was so nice..

We thought we'd upgraded cabins within american Patriot Getaways' given choices, we took a 4th stage cancer patient with us on what may be his last trip. From the moment we walked in, we were overcome with a musty,mildew smell in the cabin. We were unable to use the downstairs bedroom because the odor was worse downstairs. We burned candles the entire trip. I can't say that I became ill because of the mildewy odor but I started having headaches and sinus problems before we ever left. The mattress was good but the bedding itself came right off the bed, musty odor.

My family loved this cabin so much we almost stayed nearly a month. We came across one problem we were going to. Stay another week but when I called to book. For an additional night a lady at customer service. Very rudely said why are you guys staying so long! What are you guys doing she said needless to say they record phone conversations so this can be proven if looked into. Any we did not book an additional week because of this so I went and spoke to my husband about it and he said why allow one person to ruin this for our family so I called back the next day to extend and we were very disappointed to hear it gad been booked I could not believe I allowed this woman to ruin it for my family. I had already told my 4 year old we were staying longer. Other than that we loved the cabin and amenities the owners of this cabin have a fabulous cabin.

We stayed in this cabin in November of 2009, so it's quite late to be prompted for a review. However, we have stayed with Patriot many times and have never been disspointed with any of their properties. All have been clean, well maintained and have wonderful amenities.

Enjoyed the cabin but the road to it was rough. We were driving a minivan. Would recommend driving a vehicle higher off the ground. The view was great from the back porch. We could hear cars driving on a highway somewhere below but couldn't see them. We really enjoyed the screened in hot tub. The room that the pool table is in was a bit small. Overall, it was a great experience and we would definitely go back again.
