The set up of the cabin and amenities were great. The balcony and view were amazing. The road, Upper alpine Way, to the cabin was intimidating in that it was a curvy road, edges were a steep cliff and trees to the right and there were no road lights at night (very dark during the winter). The walkway and steps to the cabin would freeze at night and therefore have a sheet of ice which was treacherous. In our main bedroom, the balcony doors would let in a draft of cold air which I covered at night with pillows. Despite these things I would recommend this cabin because of its close proximity/easy access to everything!

We stayed at High alpine 2 days in late October. The condo was delightful with just about everything you would need.. The quiet of the mountains and the singing birds was so peaceful. The autumn beauty just takes your breath away. I hope to visit there again, especially if I can get the 50% discount. An indoor pool or jacuzzi would have made the location perfect.
