Your dream vacation home with views of the grand Brazilian Atlantic Forest. . Wake up to the calls of the tiny funny local monkeys. Forest and Surf Casa da Mata was the first home built in the Mata Atlantica area in the Pipa Natureza Condo, a gated community two hundred meters from Praia do Madeiro, where dolphins surf the waves.

Casa da Mata was designed respecting the environment and creating an atmosphere where visitors can have an authentic travel experience. It is surrounded by a protected forest reserve which can be viewed from the veranda while you enjoy breakfast . Then, take a 10 minute walk though the forest or a 5minute... drive down to Praia do Madeiro, a wide expanse of sand secluded and protected by cliffs that make the scenery unique. Clear warm waters, sunny days and peaceful surroundings are perfect for the nature-loving traveller.

In your comfortable accommodation, downstairs you will find a master bedroom with an ensuite bathroom and two bedrooms with single beds and another bathroom, all of them with breath-taking views of the forest. All rooms are fully furnished, with spacious open wardrobes. Windows have been outfitted with insect screens so that you can enjoy the cool gentle night breeze. The house can sleep up to 6 people.

Upstairs you will find

• Living-room and spacious veranda where you can relax on the hammock or eat alfresco overlooking the Atlantic Forest.

• Fully equipped kitchen with brand new appliances.

• Hardwood furniture custom-made by local carpenters.

Lots of hot water showers and the cell phone signal works marvellously. Only fresh air and fans, no air conditioning. There is only silence and simplicity, and a chance to meditate, contemplate or build intimate relationships again with family and friends with you on this trip.

Forest and Surf Casa da Mata is 25 minute walk from the village of Pipa, close enough to drive down to shop for a few amenities, or go to a restaurant offering local, ethnic or international food or to a bar for some live music. But far enough to retreat from all the hustle and bustle of Pipa´s famous nightlife.

If however, you and your friends are here on a surfing trip, you will be glad to know that you can stash your boards on your truck and drive down from the house to Praia do Madeiro in 5 minutes. The waves break on sand and there are different options: for beginners and longboarders on the right hand side of the beach, where there are boards for rent and surfclasses. You can also park the car and walk 5 minutes north to Praia dos Golfinhos or south to Praia Cacimbinhas. The owner of Forest and Surf Casa da Mata likes to take a pleasant walk to Madeiro with his board. From the house it takes him about 5 minutes down the forest path and about 5 minutes down to the beach. A good swell will give six-foot waves and no wetsuits needed. There are many other surfing beaches a bit further off.

Other activities you can enjoy nearby are mountain biking, horseback riding, hiking, rappel and canopy platforms in the forest. For the more energetic, there is no end of opportunities for adventure with paragliding, kite-surfing and dune buggy expeditions, all available within the immediate vicinity.

  I stayed two weeks with friends who surf and enjoy being in the wild with a fully equipped kitchen, maid service, car, hot water. Lol!
  I enjoyed the clean-warm-sea water and wide sandy beaches full of wildlife, such as "golfinhos" (dolphins) and sea turtles.
  You`ll enjoy the noon breeze while taking a nap on a hammock after a long morning of activities- then back to the beach for late surfing session.
  For supper, shrimp BBQ`s and frozen caipirinhas and cold beer.
  You will also taste never-seen-before fruit and juices.
  Great night life (recommended: new years eve!).
  On the whole, you`ll enjoy a holiday in "Casa da Mata" if you are into green holidays.
