Located near the city of Pisa one of the chief towns of Tuscany with its famous leaning tower at about 10 km.
Only 5 km from the Baths of San Giuliano Terme: a town rich in eighteenth-century villas and beautiful spa at the foot of Monti Pisani with paths for walking or trekking lovers, and a school and launching point for paragliders at Rigoli (km.1, 50) (another fraction of San Giuliano Terme)..
The town stretches along the SS 12 Abetone-Brenner, among two cities with high tourist interest of Pisa and Lucca.
Its strategic position favors the movements to the most important points of Pisa: Piazza Dei Miracoli with the famous leaning tower; the park Migliarino, San Rossore and Massaciuccoli about 10 Km distant, which besides its natural wonders offers the opportunity to practice Horseback riding and trekking or follow the horse running at the famous race course; the famous Certosa di Calci a former monastery of the Carthusian Friars and now the Museum of Natural Sciences; furthermore Lucca, Versilia with Viareggio, Pietrasanta and Forte dei Marmi can be reached in a short time, while the seaside towns of Marina di Pisa and Tirrenia - with its 2 golf clubs (9 and 18 holes) - and Marina di Vecchiano are about 20 Km distnat (20 minutes).

We had a very nice stay. Everything is as described in the description - so nothing to complain. I stayed there with my wife and we recommend this place particularly to people who want to relax and enjoy the nature. You have everything there, green, bright view, fresh air, you also can go hiking... But also if you want to see some attractions, you wont come to short, as an example the pisa tower is only about 10 kilometers away. Also the sea its right there. Nice place, nice people!

It was a really beautiful stay at the tuscany in the casale santamaria country house. I stayed there with 4 friends an my husband. There is really much space - inside and outside, to be honest outside is really very much space: Its has a really really big garden, with olive trees, many different plants, and a extraordinary view of the tuscan-countryside. We loved it, and we hope to come back soon.

Es war mit abstand der entspannendste Urlaub den wir (Ich und meine Frau) bisher angetreten haben. Überwältigende Natur (Olivenbäume, Weinberge - und man sieht sogar das ca. 10 km Entferne Meer von der Terasse. Es ist wirklich sehr ruhig und daher perfekt für alle die dem lauten Standart Mainstream Urlaub in Italien entfliehen wollen. Nächstes Jahr gerne wieder!

Our hosts Jackleen & Salvatore were fantastic from the time of our arrival till departure. We got to taste Salvatore's home made wine, which tasted as good as any bottle wine be bought on our trip. The apartment was very spacious & very comfortable. It is only a 10 minute trip into Pisa & a great place to use as your base. It is close to Pisa but still in the country where the nights are quiet & peaceful. If you intend to stay near Pisa then this is the ideal location & you can either book a room in the main house (thats huge also) or pay a bit more & stay in the apartment - especially if you have a family. Thanks Jackleen & Salvatore for a great stay

Casale Santamaria is the best ever place i have ever been in my life, everything is great, we enjoyed our stay to the max, and it was the most wonderful vacation i had.

People are very welcoming and nice.
The house is a great place to stay in.
Everything is new and clean.
The location is in the mountains and at the same close to the city.
Everything is green all around.
The sound of the small river that passes beside and underneath part of the house is very calming and refreshing.
We liked everything about that place.
They still have in the basement of the house traditional wine maker accessories and also a traditional olive grinder and oil extractor presser. You can ask to visit and see.
