Description from the owner

Villa San Marko, a short walk up a fabulous almost hidden stairway cut in the rock is just 50m from the sea and 75m from the small harbor with it's restaurants and bars. From its 2 terraces a guest can enjoy uninterrupted views of the dramatic Biokovo Mountains, Brac, Hvar and the 'crystal' clear waters of the Adriatic. The upper terrace is great for al fresco dining. Pisak is a picture postcard little fishing village, set back in time, that comes alive in the high season but is a quiet retreat off season and with wonderful traditional restaurants. Set in a countryside of contrasts, the craggy mountains behind giving the adventure holiday seeker opportunities to para glide and rock climb. Or for keen walkers to trek the mountain Biokovo with its ancient villages along the path. The pine forest in the lower reaches then gives way to olive and citrus groves around the village. Well equipped villa in scenic location

Left on 08/17/2012 for a stay in August 2012

The Villa is in a great location with a balcony overlooking the sea. There is a parking spot for one car which is useful in Pisak.
The Villa was spotlessly clean and the fridge was well stocked on our arrival with essentials and even non essentials such as wine and biscuits.
Pisak is a good location for visiting Split and all of the highlights of the Dalmatian coast.
The 3 spacious bedrooms all have efficient aircon which was essential during our visit in august.
My only criticisms would be that it would have been nice to have had a sofa in the lounge in stead of the cushioned bench, and aircon instead of a fan- though this would not be an issue if it had not been exceptionally hot even for august.
We would definitely stay here again if we visited this part of Croatia.
