Edina Cottage is a delightful traditional self catering property in the attractive fishing village of Pittenweem in the East Neuk of Fife. With a superb location right in the heart of this historic village lying just a short walk from the village amenities including the shop, harbour, library, church, cafes and fish and chip bar.

Recently completely modernized the cottage is tastefully furnished and has two bedrooms sleeping up to four guests.

On the lower floor there is a large lounge with log burning stove, TV, I-pod dock and Wi-Fi. There is also a dining table and chairs. The well equipped kitchen has a ceramic hob, extractor... fan, oven, fridge, microwave and dishwasher.

The Kitchen leads to a lovely garden which has a summerhouse, picnic table and BBQ area. Also on this floor is a shower room with WC.

Upstairs is a double bedroom with a king-size bed and en-suite bathroom, with shower. There is also a spacious twin bedroom. These beds can be linked together to make a king-size bed if required.

The cottage is heated by gas fired central heating.

We provide enough logs for the wood burner to last a week and a welcome pack of tea,coffee,sugar, local oatcakes and home made jam. All electricity and gas is included.

Pittenweem lies in the heart of the East Neuk, in the middle of five ‘picture postcard’ coastal towns. Crail, Anstruther, Pittenweem, St. Monans and Elie. Between them they offer a multitude of historic sites as well as cultural and leisure pursuits to suit all tastes, with many festivals and events held throughout the year.The Fife Coastal path runs from the harbour.

Pittenweem harbour was first recorded as a port in 1228. Today, Pittenweem is a shellfish port and is the main landing port and market in the East Neuk . The catch is mainly langoustine (prawn) crab and surf crabs, with some fish also landed.

Pittenweem is only a short 15 minute drive from St. Andrews while the city of Dundee can be reached in 30mins and Perth and Edinburgh are just over one hours drive.

There are many good beaches nearby including :

Tentsmuir Sands and Kinshaldy Beach ; Elie (watersports) Earlsferry & Ruby Bay ; Kingsbarns Beach ; Roome Bay, Crail ; Billow Ness, Anstruther and West Sands at St. Andrews where they filmed the epic Chariots Of Fire slow motion running scene.Read more

  We stayed for 5 nights, and had a fantastic time. The cottage is exceptionally well equipped, with everything from dishwasher tablets to monopoly and milkshake to wood. It is also conveniently located around the corner from an amazing local chocolate cafe! The weather was perfect and we found the cottage to be not far from the main attractions in Fife. Our only sadness was that we couldn't stay for longer.
