Miramar Apartmetns is a colonial-style luxury vacation rental consisting of seven suites (a 3-bedroom2 bath, 2 studios and 4 1-bedroom). The suites all have full kitchen, living and dining room areas furnished with locally made rattan furniture, and are decorated with the fi¬nest local artwork and tapestries. Daily housekeeping is available!

Left on 01/10/2012 for a stay in December 2011
We arrived late on Christmas Eve of 2011 and stayed through New Years. We had emailed ahead and ask Ilsa if she could stock a few snacks for us since we figured most places would be closed for next couple days - She had everything we asked for and more ready on our arrival - including a homemade loaf of bread from her mother! and jam and fresh squeezed orange juice! During our entire stay she and Oscar were very helpful and pleasant and made our stay so relaxing and they were basically at our service anytime we needed anything. There are two buildings at the Miramar - we stayed in the one closest to the beach and our door literally opened onto the beach - but each building is gorgeous, one is set back just a little and one is right on the beach. The bed was very comfortable and the room was large with a huge place to put your clothes away. The wi-fi was a tad slow -- but it is Belize, we were just happy to have wi-fi at all! The location is also great - close enough to the village to walk to things, yet not so close that you were bothered by the "bar noise" a little further down the sidewalk. And there are several restaurants very close to grab a bite or a drink. Later in the week we had a group of friends join us and we all got together at our place and enjoyed the beach together & Oscar even brought out extra chairs and a table for us to set up a "mini bar" on. We all said several times that we couldn't have picked a better place if we had tried! We would definitely recommend the Miramar to anyone who wants just a little more than a cabana on the beach for an extended stay.
