Aurora ColoradoA great and comfortable stay
Left on 05/09/2013 for a stay in February 2013
George was great in allowing us to rent his home on the beach. The home was absolutely the most comfortable place we've ever stayed at. This was our first time to Placencia and we drove there from the airport near Belize city. Unfortunately our initial meeting with Marsha, the property manager, wasn't the best as we got in late and she was asleep on the couch waiting on us. The accomodations were absolutely fabulous. We'd love to do it again sometime. We used a fishing guide (Carl)on two occasions and caught several fish, including bone and tarpon. We hade a wonder time. Thank you

Our stay for two weeks in Placentia is our second time with Easy Street two. The house has everything you need for a wonderful vacation experience. Marsha is knowledgeble about all the local needs, she met us and got us in and helped when my brother in law got stuck with no money and no wallet. We actually do our cooking in most of the time, the house has everything you need to comfortable cook anything. It has coffe maker and all first out spices and sauces, coffee, tea, bug spray towels, linens, hammocks, just everything. The beach is clean and clear water. The grounds are kept immaculate by the most kind grounds keeper, Jose, who will tell about the area and the Mayan culture if you ask him. He was so warm and worked much too hard as the temperatures climbed. I think that Placentia was a lot quieter the first time we came and stayed. I like the slow pace and hope that the new found tourism and expanding town doesn't take away the small town charm.

This house is absolutely gorgeous with all modern amenities and great style. The grounds are outstanding. You are surrounded by a large managed property with lots of palms. The pictures do not do it justice. The trees are much bigger now since the photos were posted so you have even more lush surroundings. The beach is gorgeous and the swimming right in front of the property is perfect. My 9 and 11 year old boys just loved swimming and being able to walk a few hundred yards down the beach barefoot and grab a great late afternoon meal. Marsha is wonderful- Friendly, always available if you need anything, and has great stories of her life at sea. Jose, the groundskeeper, is a Mayan who has a lot to share about his culture and traditions. If you are going to Placencia I can't imagine a better located or more idyllic place to stay.

George,
I really enjoyed staying there and right on the beach, we were there
Dec 15-Dec 25, 2012. My daughter Donna Sherrill her husband Shane
and his mother Sherrie. It was close to Sittee River where we could visit
friends there and go fishing. Having a full Kitchen was really a plus. We
caught fish on the river, and cooked it right there. The markets there at
Placencia had plenty of things to cook. I remember when I first went to
Placencia about 12 years ago and how it has changed. Then we flew in
from Belize City to a gravel runway, but now they have a paved runway
and a terminal. All the building giong on there did not surprise me,
I knew then once they paved the southern hiway things would really
open up there. I bought 3 acres on the Sittee River then and I am
really amazed that how property values are up. I knew it would happen
but wow!.Really enjoyed your place and you were right the cieling fans
worked great, did not need aC,

I have never been to such a beautiful island getaway. Every day seemed like an adventure whether we were exploring all the fun little shops in the area, watching the local breadsmith bake the daily bread while customers waited outside, or going on a boat ride through the jungle and then on foot seeing some of the most amazing trees and huge monkeys hanging from the branches. Our guide even had us try termites that tasted like spearmint - what a hoot! Lots of time to hang out on the beach front which is right outside of George's place or relax on his porch and enjoy the view from his hammock. Then we would just walk anywhere for a yummy dinner at many different local eateries. There are some really fun local hangouts at night, one in particular that had a big horseshoe tournament that was really fun and music outdoors on the beach at night. Easy Street is so welcoming and beautifully furnished with all the modern conveniences of home while still in keeping with the island setting. I heard that George recently installed Wifi even though it was still fun going to the little internet cafe! Everyone we ran into knew "Chicago George" as they called him and were all so warm and helpful whenever we needed anything. It was honestly one of the most fun vacations I have ever gone on and the only part I didn't like was having to leave. I would highly recommend this to anyone - it has something for everyone!

This was my first visit to Belize and I must say we started with the best! Upon our arrival we were met by Jean who was very friendly and informative. The home is absolutley beautiful and the view breathtaking. Everything one could need is inside the home. George has thought of everything. The deck is situated so we received comforting breezes in the evening as the ocean crashed on the beach. We were located within walking distance of restaurants and grocery stores and markets. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. We went on to other places but Placencia was for sure my favorite! I cannot wait to go back again!

We had a very enjoyable stay at your beautiful home. Jean was there when needed and we appreciated visiting with her and learning more about Placencia. Each day I walked the beach, sidewalk and road and met some very interesting folks. The cleanliness of the house was excellent. The grounds were alwasy clean. I'd give it an a+. We look forward to when we can do this again.

My husband and I stayed at Easy Street 2 for a week in July of 2012 and could not have enjoyed it more. The booking process was a breeze and George always responded promptly to our emails. He was available to answer all of our questions and even made suggestions for someone to take us out fishing. The directions to get to the house from the airport were very easy.
The house is in a great location on the Placencia sidewalk walking distance to a bunch of great restaurants and bars. The house itsself is beautiful and spatious with a wonderful patio to relax on (complete with hammocks!). The full kitchen was great for cooking in (only a few breakfasts, hard to pass up the delicious restaurants all around!). We also really appreciated the help of the property manager Marsha who lives next door. She was there right when we arrived with some ice cold Belikins and made us feel so welcome! She was always available if we needed anything.
We stayed at one of the resorts in Placencia for our Honeymoon but found this to be a much better experience, would recommend to anyone who is wanting to get away from it all and experience all this wonderful town has to offer. -

We enjoyed our stay very much and enjoyed Placencia village. The locals are so nice they made you feel like a local. The house was a pleasure- we found all 24 woods that was fun to locate. Laying in the hammocks and watching the sunrise was most enjoyable. George has done a wonderful job with the house and could not ask for more. The house is in a perfect location, walking distance to restaurants and activities with the Beach out your front door. It is very peaceful and natural and are jealous. We had such a wonderful time and would recommend your house and Placencia in the future. We hope to be back sooner than later.

We have spent two vacations on at this paradise and if we'd gotten it together this year we'd be there again... This home is amazing! you ask whY?? Location, clean, affordable, and just a great place to relax. It has everything you could need including two great hammocks on the porch to just relax and take in the warm breezes of the the water and beach...It doesn't get any better...sun, sand, and water right out your door. Although I hate to say to many good things about this place because it may make it more difficult for me to return with the possibilities that you my rent it but I'll take my chances. Great place!

We had a great vacation and are having a hard time getting back into our work routines. Everything about your house was as advertised and I would highly recommend your property to anyone looking for a vacation rental in Placencia. I cannot think of any changes or additions to your home that I would recommend. The kitchen was well equipped and the extra towels and linens were appreciated. (The hammocks were the best!). The internet connection worked fine, I just needed to be patient when customers sent me emails with large files attached to them. We used both Splash and avadon for diving and the service was great from both. If we decide to vacation in Placencia again, I will definitely be contacting you for house rental.

We stayed here on Spring Break 2011 for a week with our 3 daughters. We found it to be absolutely perfect for us. It was one of the of the nicest places we have been with our family. The house was large, immaculate, and very close to stores and restaurants etc. We had the beach right outside our door, and a gorgeous view from the balcony. The house was unique with all the varieties of beautiful wood. Check in was very easy, and simple to find. Anything that we needed during our stay was promptly dealt with by the owners staff nearby. If we ever return to Placencia we would indeed be trying to book Easy Street 2.

We have rented and owned villas in the Caribbean over many years and "Easy Street 2" tops the list. George is very efficient and has thought of every detail to make our stay memorable. The house is spacious, convenient and comfortable; the location on the beach is perfect-privacy but not isolated, with a spectacular view. You can take a stroll into town for provisions or a great meal with many options. The folks in the Stann Creek neighborhood have only the nicest things to say about the owner-and we do as well. We had an opportunity to meet George at the end of our stay and all we could say was, "we don't want to go"! We planning on going back to "Easy Street 2" next year.

This is the perfect place to stay if you want convenience and privacy and the feel of the tropics. Jean met us on our arrival at the house and explained things to us. We appreciated the information in the home for restaurant recommendations. There's easy access to the grocery and bank a block from the house. I stayed with a friend and we each had our own bedroom and yet felt very homey! The bathroom is deluxe and beautiful with everything at your fingertips! We stayed in June before traveling to other destinations and loved the tranquility for rest and relaxation. It is situated on the best beach and we loved sitting and laying in the hammock on the deck listening to the waves on the beach. We were able to experience a storm and loved all the windows to watch the sky light up at night. An easy walk to restaurants and the markets. And we especially enjoyed interacting with the locals. A perfect place! Can't wait till I can go back!

Our family stayed at Easy Street 2 for 9 days in May, 2011 and found it to be wonderful in every way. The setting is perfect, we walked everywhere in Placencia since the sidewalk is right at the back of the house. The house is beautiful, very comfortable and has everything you could want or need. Can't find words to describe the view, breathtaking isn't enough! We easily found Jean on our arrival in town and she took us to the house and explained things to us. She also gave us good recommendations for places to eat. There's a grocery and bank a block from the house. George's recommendations for guides were much appreciated and were also excellent. Everyone around was friendly and helpful and this truly was the best vacation we've ever had. We don't have pictures, unfortunately, since we lost our camera. George was kind enough to contact someone in Placencia to look for it. It wasn't found but his help was greatly appreciated. We can't recommend Easy Street 2 highly enough, you won't be disappointed.

Easy Street 2 is a very comfortable house on the perfect piece of beach - just north of Placencia Village. The house has everything you need - fully equipped kitchen, lovely deck to overlook the ocean, large bathroom with plenty of towels and a great shower, large living room & a back deck for those windy days. The two bedrooms have adequate closet space & ceiling fans. The house is clean and well kept. I have rented this house several times over the past few years - it is a wonderful place to spend some time on the beach.

Your home is the perfect place on the beach. The house is very large with all the modern convieniences and Jean keeps it spotless.
Placencia is a great town with many interesting places to eat, we tried as many as we could. There are grocery stores close by and Easy Sreet 2's kitchen is well equiped to prepare anything you bring home.
We wouldn't consider staying any place other than Easy Street 2 for our next visit to Placencia. -

We've been back in Chicago for a week and are already wishing we could return to Placencia. Your beautiful house offered so much tranquility. It was clearly the nicest place to stay & sits on the best piece of beach around. We loved listening to the waves and feeling the constant sea breeze. The village was full of character and the people were very friendly. We had a most memorable, fun day- trip through the Jaguar Preserve, led by Doyle. Our Monkey River jungle trip, led by Percy, was also exciting. Thank you for recommending these tours. Relaxing all week on the beach & on your veranda allowed us to come home stress-free. Thank you for sharing your home. Without it, our vacation would not have been so perfect. We look forward to returning a third time.
Thanks again! Chrystal
