Lloydminster, ABWow! We loved it!

Sorry for the delay in writing this review. We've been home for a month today and we are still missing it!
Wow, everything described in the description of the property was accurate though the description doesn't adequately describe the property. It's fantastic.
We were a family traveling for a vacation. My husband, myself, our two sons and their girlfriends. Great place for a family vacation but very romantic for three couples.
The bedrooms were fantastic and the outdoor showers were amazing. The upstairs bedroom with the covered deck was gorgeous. Lovely place to sit and look out over to the sea. The common area was great to sit and visit in while surfing the net. Everything anyone needed to cook with was in the kitchen. One evening when aaron came over and made us great tasting Pina Coladas.
Outdoors was beautiful. The deck has an overhang with a table and six chairs. Lovely place to dine! Shade around the pool plus areas to relax in the sun. Lovely pool though the last step is quite a giant step down.
Beach with the variety of trees is gorgeous. Very private and we only saw a few people on the beach when we were there. The one day family members went kayaking. Very interesting experience. A few waves.
Aaron prior to our arrival had helped with the organizing of the trip. He directed us to avadon Divers for our snorkeling and diving needs for two days. Most professional company that we have ever used. He also booked us on a trip up the Monkey River with Trip n Travel. Again a wonderful choice. Aaron suggested that we stay at the Black Orchid Resort near the airport on the night of our arrival, as we had family members arriving the next day and we all stayed there the night before our departure. Couldn't have made a better choice. Very convenient to the airport no driving through Belize City. He made arrangements for our rental cars. Awaiting us when we arrived. Our second evening after we arrived we spent in Belmopan at the Villa San Juan as we were driving to Xunantunich on the western border of Belize. All his suggestions were fantastic. So when he offers to help you with other details of your vacation. Please take him up on the offer. It will make your trip all the better.
I need his cleaning lady as she is the best cleaner I have ever seen or had! She worked all day.
The villa is gorgeous but it is the personal attention that makes the vacation! We couldn't have asked for a better host. Thanks! -

We’ve been home from the beautiful beach house in Cocoplum for almost two weeks now and we’re still trying to face reality. The home was absolutely perfect for us. We are a group of six, (three couples) and the house seemed to be built for us and our needs. The three separate bedrooms were ideal, spacious and comfortable with each having its own really beautiful bathroom. The outdoor showers were amazing! The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed to cook breakfast and lunches, and it was a great space to gather in the mornings, brew some coffee, connect to the wifi and check up on emails, surf the internet, and share pictures with poor saps at home that didn’t get to come. We had Sharon come to cook for us for one dinner and she had everything she needed to put the meal together. (Great meal by the way, we would recommend having her come to cook for you, just ask aaron and he will set up a meeting with her to go over details) The pool was clean and comfortable, we just wish there would have been some pool floats to lounge in, to enjoy it more.
We took a daytrip and went to the aTM caves. The drive was long, about three hours; But very scenic and worth the trip. The caves were very interesting and we enjoyed the tour. Look it up on google to see pics and get more info. If you go, they don’t allow swimwear in the caves, so wear something like tees and board shorts. At one point in the caves they have you remove your shoes, but they want you in socks, so however nerdy it is to wear socks with your Teva’s, do it. And take a change of dry clothes for the ride home. One thing I could not stress more… slather yourselves in bug spray and take some to re-apply. You are in the jungle.
I haven’t ever stayed so close to the beach before and this was a great location, literally in your back yard. The staff cleaned up the beach every morning and kept it groomed for each day of play. It was very private, rare that we ever saw anyone else out there, and when we did they were very friendly and non-intrusive. We enjoyed it at every part of the day throughout our stay, from before the sun come up to well after it went down. The sun rising through the mist was breathtaking and the camp fire on the beach at night was something that I got to check off my bucket list.
The roads in Placencia and Seine Bight are clean and well paved; speed is regulated by the pedestrian crossings that are placed frequently along the way. (Speed humps galore! Not just bumps, humps.) We tested it out, and it does pay to stop for them and slowly proceed over the hump. The third row passengers can attest to that. ?
The local people are very kind and friendly. The restaurants all had very good food at reasonable prices. The Barefoot Bar was a great hang out. The Maya Beach Bistro was one of our favorites. Friends on the Pier was also a great place to hang out for the afternoons, complete with a horseshoe pit to entertain us. We also would recommend the Green Parrot, Singing Sands Inn, and Roberts Grove has a really nice BBQ on (I think?) Saturday nights, reservations are required. Make sure to visit aaron at the Turtle Inn on Wednesday night. He plays classical guitar and the vocalist pairs well with his music. The pizza is pretty good too.
Aaron was so pleasant and accommodating. From before we arrived, to the day we left he took care of our every want and need. I could ramble on about how great he was but the bottom line is; he made our vacation better than it would have been without him. He helped us with the car rental, the tours, information about the local restaurants, and recommendations. He checked in on us to make sure we were having a good time, and was really a perfect host. Stuart was equally accommodating; it was nice to know that their main goal was to make sure we were enjoying our stay.
The pictures I took look like something out of a travel magazine and friends and family that didn’t go with us can’t believe that they are real. It was a perfect way to spend a week, away from Utah snow haze and freezing cold winter. Next time I hope to be able to spend two. -

Beauty and more...
Left on 09/08/2012 for a stay in May 2012
My husband and I stayed at Cocoplum for our honeymoon and it was what we wanted/expected and much much more. The villa is definitely much more beautiful in person, the photos just don't do it enough justice. It is immaculately kept, the kitchen is equipped, and the attention to detail is lovely. Aaron was so helpful in making suggestions and attentive in doing what he could to ensure our stay/experience was what it should be... amazing!
It rained some during our stay, but even then, the rain did not take away from our experience. There is plenty to explore around Placencia, and lounging around in a beautiful villa with a gorgeous view is paradise in itself.
Our honeymoon was perfect thanks to these guys and we would recommend it to anyone of our friends :)
A return trip with our kids and some friends is a must!!

NYCExtraordinary villa and destination
Left on 07/11/2011 for a stay in May 2011
I have been visiting Belize, particularly Placencia, for about 5 years now. During my first three trips I stayed in a charming little hotel on the ocean and was quite happy there. My last two trips, however, were exceptional because I stayed in the ocean villa at Cocoplum Resort and Residential community. I am not easily impressed and I tend to be a bit fussy but I left completely in love with the villa and will return again and again - until I build my own home. The villa is brand new, stunningly situated on the beach in a setting both secluded and near to all area activities and amenities. The three bedroom, 3.5 bath home is handsomely appointed, fixtured, and fitted with every convenience one might desire. There are three master suites built around a central court beautifully decorated with potted palms, private full sized swimming pool and patio, leading to the picturesque beach and ocean just steps beyond.
The ground floor of the villa includes a spacious kitchen, dining, and living area with full sized appliances including dishwasher and washer/dryer; you can certainly cook a multi-course gourmet meal here if you are not tempted by the many wonderful restaurants in the area. The open plan living area enjoys wall to wall windows and French doors that open onto the patio, pool, and two additional bedroom units. Each of these units includes a spectacular bath with beathtakinly lovely deep soaking tubs made of beautiful local mosaic tiles and separate outdoor showers. The king size bedrooms offer enough space for an indoor sitting area if one does not want to enjoy the terrace or the living area in the main portion of the house. Every effort has been made to create a sense of privacy and there exists a unique environmental integrity in the planning of this villa and its placement on the grounds.

La Palma, CABest. Lobsterfest. Ever.
Left on 06/30/2011 for a stay in June 2011
Ok, so it was my first Lobsterfest, but what a way to experience it. My two friends and I pulled up to the house and thought the place looked even more impressive than in the photos. We divided up who got which room via old reliable rock-paper-scissor. I "lost" out on one of the two first-floor suite rooms next to the pool that look out onto the beach and with outdoor shower, and ended up with the upstairs master suite with terrace, ocean-view and rainforest showerhead. No tears for me. It was only a quick, ten minute drive from Cocoplum in Maya Beach to Placencia Village. We had a blast at Lobsterfest, but when it got hot as the day progressed, we unanimously retreated back to the house and the refreshing, private pool during the hot afternoon hours. The kitchen was fully stocked and with the ingredients bought in the village, enjoyed freshly made coconut rum fruit smoothies in the pool. A healthy supply of fresh bath and beach towels, and some bathrobes were very welcome because of all our pool time. After dancing the night away at Lobsterfest, our big comfy beds and the crashing waves from the beach just outside lulled us all to sleep. A bit of the complimentary tea while watching TV on the flatscreen in the kitchen area was a great way to start our morning. We really didn't want to leave, but the weekend did end and we sadly said goodbye to our Lobsterfest weekend in this great house. Hope you enjoy your stay as much as we did.

Washington D.C.A piece of paradise
Left on 06/29/2011 for a stay in June 2011
This is one of the most beautiful beach houses that I have ever stayed in. Just a short walk to the beach, the place was fully equipped with 3 private bedrooms, beautiful outdoor showers, a salt water pool, 2 decks with killer views of the ocean, and a cozy kitchen/living area. We came to see nearby Placencia, which is a cute tropical town, but we could hardly pull ourselves away from this luxurious villa. Stewart and aaron were extremely accomodating, and paid a lot of attention to all the details. This was truly a trip to paradise!
