This Greece rental villa on Crete offers a mix of modern and traditional Cretan life. You’ll love taking in the scenery, lounging by your own private pool, or having lunch on the terrace or balcony of this villa rental in Greece. But you’ll also enjoy the town of Plakias, big and lively enough to have a range of activities but small enough to retain its traditional charm. The beautiful south-facing bay is ideal for swimming and sunbathing, while the hills behind this villa in Greece provide wonderful trails through olive groves and beyond.
[200 m2] This is a newly constructed villa [2005], built in a very interesting modern... style, with a terrace, balcony, and private, oval-shaped swimming pool [5m x 6m] with lounge chairs, sunshades, and a garden shower. You also have a barbecue for outdoor dining. The local property representative will meet you at a prearranged place and guide you to the villa. At that point [or, if your arrival time is late, the following day], the representative will answer any questions and introduce you to the spectacular island of Crete. A representative will also remain available on a 24-hour help line for any further assistance you might need.

Ground floor: The entryway of this villa leads into a living/dining room separated by a half wall. The living room has two couches, satellite TV, and a fireplace. In the dining room there is a table with seating for two and an open-plan kitchen, fully equipped with microwave, dishwasher, oven, and stove. Three stairs lead to a bedroom with one king-sized [180 cm] bed and its own balcony. Adjacent is a bath with toilet, sink, and tub with handheld showerhead.
First floor: Upstairs you’ll find two more bedrooms, one with a king-sized bed and the other with two 90 cm-wide twins. They share a bathroom with toilet, sink, and tub with handheld showerhead. There is also access to a large terrace with nice views of Plakias village and the surrounding countryside.
This Greek island villa in Crete is right in Plakias, 100 meters from the beach. The sand runs in a long strip around the bay, offering areas of both pebbles and sand. There are also spots good for snorkeling and, at the far end, for nudists. The atmosphere of the town can be busy at times, and there are plenty of restaurants along with two discos and a number of bars. The town is an excellent base for walking and cycling in the quiet countryside, offering paths at every level of difficulty. You’ll also want to organize a day trip to Rethymnon to visit the sixteenth century Venetian Fortezza, formidable in itself but also the location of the annual Rethymnon Renaissance Festival. If you’re interested in the history of the island you may also want to step into the Historical and Folk Art Museum for a taste of traditional Cretan ceramics, artifacts, jewelry, textiles, and clothing from across the centuries.
