Because of our environmental commitment, we offer rates far below market rates and add electricity to the bill at check-out. All rates are disclosed prior to booking and the meter is right in front of the house. The less electricity used, the more we save our environment and are able to offer a fantastic deal. The more electricity used, the price jumps up! Costa Rica has a three tier rate system, so if conservation is your objective, we can offer an unbeatable rate. If not, the electricity will be substantial but within the rates others charge for a weekly rental of this calibre.
** Please note that our security deposit is based on a weekly rental or less. If you are renting for more than two weeks, our security deposit increases on most properties; however, the monthly rate sometimes goes into effect and is less costly. Deposits are taken only via PayPal and returned to PayPal. You may use your credit card at PayPal directly (as a guest) and you do not need a PayPal account already; however, you may need to sign up with PayPal if your deposit and booking dates are more than 60 days apart as PayPal will not refund your security deposit directly to your credit card in this case, but instead store it inside their system where you can then follow their process to transfer it cost free to your bank account.

We spent 10 wonderful days in this spacious home in a safe community environment. The home is exactly as pictured and each bedroom has an en suite bathroom - luxury. The tower affords a great view onto a neighboring field and a small meandering creek so we really felt close to nature. We chose to drive to the beach for early morning walks before the heat of the day took over. Sunsets were spectacular every night. The community is convenient to both Quepos and Jaco with many smaller towns in between. Driving is easy on a paved highway with good signage. Shannon & Dave proved to be great property managers from beginning to end - thank you.

Our 4 week stay in Playa Bejuco was wonderful! Shannon and Dave of EcoVida Properties were so accommodating and went out of their way to be there for us. From the first inquiry to the follow-up, they were professional and often went beyond the call. The homes they rent are well appointed, very clean and well maintained and convenient to everything. We stayed in Casa Privada along with 5 of our family members. This home is ideal for a family, lots of bedrooms and bathrooms, a central family area and a well appointed kitchen. The two of us then moved to Casa Kathy for a few days. This is a gorgeous home with everything you could need...and more. We will definately keep EcoVida Properties in mind when booking for future travels to Costa Rica.

This house was terrific. Roomy, well-equipped, quiet, and with its own crystal-clear pool and a tower from which to observe monkeys, birds (including scarlet macaws), and other wildlife. Our electricity cost was minimal (about $45.00 for five days in the house) because we ran the air conditioner only at night and only in one or two bedrooms. Playa Bejuco is only about half an hour from both Quepos (south) and Jaco (north), so there's plenty to do nearby. We particularly recommend a visit to Manuel antonio National Park for the wildlife and beaches, and to Rainmaker, a private reserve with somewhat-scary swinging bridges and treetop platforms, where frogs and toads abound. The house is a ten-minute walk from a beach that isn't great for swimming (there are warning signs about the rip current) but is fantastic for walking and beachcombing.
