Playa Blanca is one of the most beautiful Pacific Ocean beach sites on the Panama Coast, and according to some American newspapers, one of the “must see” ocean beach resorts.

We are very lucky to possess a newly furnished, 3 bedroom 3 bathroom condo in Balcones, on the 7th floor, with uninterrupted idyllic views of the ocean from all windows and the magnificent terrace. In fact, when sitting in the dining room or in the lounge, and looking through the large bay shaped terrace, one gets the impression of sailing peacefully on a large cruiser. Access to the beautiful palmed beach, via the Playa Blanca Beach resort complex is just a 5 minute walk. It is also even closer (3 mins.) from the amazing Crystal Lagoon, the second largest sea water swimming pool in the world.Read more

Additional Location Information

The Playa Blanca Resort is situated on one of the best white sand beaches in Panama on the Pacific coast of the country, just 1 1/2 hour’s drive from Panama City. In the low season (May to November) daily rain showers are interspersed with sunny spells – it doesn’t always get too hot and it is a much quieter time of the year, greatly enjoyed by us as writers where we appreciate the tranquillity of working on our terrace overlooking the ocean, but well sheltered from the rain! The high season (December to April) is almost wall-to-wall unbroken sunshine – hot – but with the plethora of water around you either in the pools, the lagoon or the sea, frequent dips will soon cool you off and you can get back to the terrace at Balcones or go to the Playa Blanca Hotel, sipping your favorite cocktail!

Detailed rental rates for stays of one week or more are as follows:

LOW SEASON

First week $700

Second week additional $500 (total $1,200)

Third Week additional $300 (total $1,500)

Fourth week additional $100 (total $1,600)

HIGH SEASON

First week $1,000

Second week $700 (total $1,700)

Third week $500 (total $2,200)

Fourth week $200 (total $2,400)

Premium weeks - Christmas week, Easter week, Carnival week $1,400

If these weeks are part of your stay, then they will be treated as the first week at $1,400. subsequent weeks (before or after) will be charged at normal rates for those weeks

For rentals of less than one week there will be a premium charge per day of $200 in addition to the normal daily rate on the following dates:

  Ideal Vacation Place: Balcones 4, 7B in Playa Blanca
  We were back to this apartment for our second year for the whole month of January. It is located steps to the beach, and has its own swimming pool. It is a very clean, comfortable, well furnished, and well looked-after apartment. Bedrooms are furnished with air conditioning and there are ceiling fans in every room. With windows open we get good aeration and often do not need the air conditioning to be turned on. There is a large veranda allowing us to have our meals there. It provides an unimpeded and breathtaking view of the beach. From there we can also watch spectacular views of sunrises and sunsets. The apartment is also equipped wih Wifi, a television and DVD player.
  Neighbours are very friendly. There are several restaurants close by, including a Lebanese, a hamburger place, a Thai and a Japanese. Transportation is inexpensive including taxis, which allows us to do away with car rentals. The owners are extremey friendly and very easy to get along with. We certainly recommend this wonderful, relaxing place for vacationing. For us, it is the place to be.
  We liked it so much that we came back to spend the months of February and March!
