This was the perfect place for the four of us to escape to as the winter back home was just starting to sink in! We are two couples, came in from the DC area. Two of us had been to the Riviera Maya before though this was our first time renting out a condo as apposed to staying in a hotel, and definitely won't be the last thanks to our experience at The Blue DragonFly Condos. The tranquility and good energy there was just what we needed for an escape from our hectic everyday life. Also one block up is a groceries store, and a few blocks down is the beach. On the way down walking towards the beach you'll find several great local's restaurant including Cueva del Chago, perfect place for a late brunch before hitting the beach! I'd recommend this place to my friends and plan on staying here again soon.

We stayed here late October / early November and couldn't have asked for better...we liked it so much that we came back for the end of our holiday, when we had intended to try somewhere new.
As two females travelling alone we felt completely safe the entire time and Cindy's hospitality was second to none, with us receiving an invite out for Halloween and numerous offers of cups of tea! Location wise you couldn't ask for better, a mere stroll to Coco Beach at the end of the street and close enough to all the action to mean we never had to get a cab, but without being stuck on 5th avenue, not able to escape. Being at the north end of town means you're also more likely to try some of the many restaurants and bars in the area, which are great and a little less touristy (and pricey) than elsewhere.
In a nutshell I can't praise or recommend the condos enough, since returning home I've found it hard to adapt to not having the luxury of a giant bath in my bedroom, but I can say without a doubt that we will be back in the very near future...best place to stay in Playa!Response from The Blue Dragonfly Condos - 11/24/2010

I was looking for a nice relaxing week and I found it. This place is really nicely finished and Cindy was lovely!
Not such a good spot for anyone looking for a party, but great for families or couples. about a 5 minute walk to a nice part of the beach and 15 minutes to the centre of town.
Only thing I didn't like was that there were no blinds in the bedroom so it makes it hard for a sleep in or siesta. otherwise, a great place to stay! -

I loved my stay at the Blue Dragonfly Condos. The Morrocan style condo was
beautifully decorated and well-maintained. The owner was incredibly helpful
and sweet. It is located in Tohoku, an exclusive gated community, and is
situated close to the beach, a grocery store, and the 5th avenue area with
fabulous shopping and restaurants. I would definitely recommend staying here
to anyone who wants a more authentic experience of Mexico than you can find

wow what a great place! The Blue Dragonfly was the perfect beach gettaway with just the right amount of that good home feeling that i literally felt like one of the locals. Situated in a small community but minutes from the beach and the nightly hot spots on 5th. Oxxo down the street, grocery stores around the corner i even packed my lunch and had a picnic with some new frinds i met! Playa is such a beautiful town and the Blue Dragonfly made it all that better. I'll be back for sure!

These vacation condos were a true 'get away from it all' experience, tranquil yet close to everything! An amazing experience in the Moroccan style condo that was really comfortable and fully stocked with everything we needed.
Close to shops, including 5th Ave. and a short walk to the beach with an incredible selection of restaurants and beach clubs.
Great for adults wanting a quiet getaway without other noisy hotel guests.

Wow, I had heard wonderful things of the Blue Dragonfly Condos but it exceeded all of my expectations!
Located a block from the ocean, in a gated community, I felt so relaxed yet right in all the action at the same time.
Lovely quiet neighbourhood, beautifully decorated apartments, I would have to say this has been the best place I stayed at.
So serene, perfect place for me to relax & enjoy my vacation!
Will definitely return as soon as possible.

We stayed at the Blue Dragon Fly for one week . It was very nice and clean and had all the extras like internet and cable. We only had to walk a short distance to the beach and it was very quiet at night. I would stay there next time. The hostess was very helpful and made out trip easy.

I stayed for one week with my husband in The Blue Dragonfly Condo. It made our staying in Mexico very special. Everything is clean an decorated with a lot of love and care. It was like we were living ourself in Mexico. The area was very quiet and we walked in the night to the 5Th avenue where all the restaurants and bars are. Also the beach was pretty close. We rented bycicles and we went to see 2 pyramid sides. We also went to a "cenote" a natural well in a cave were we went swimming. The owner Cindy was very friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this place to honeymooners!

My boyfriend and I recently visited playa del carmen, and we were thrilled to find online these quaint apartments. They were well maintained and so conveniently located to the beach and walmart. So grocery shopping was fast and easy. Whether we wanted to take a jacuzzi bath or cook something tasty, everything was perfect. We will certainly go back next year.
