If I were renting a condo in Playa del Carmen, this is where I would stay. This condo at Playainn is a spacious 2 bedroom condo with a large open kitchen, a big living area with flat screen TV and cable service. Adjacent to the living area you will find a terrace with seating for 4 people and a partial ocean view. The master bedroom has a king bed and an en suite bathroom. The second bedroom has 2 individual beds and a private bathroom as well. The Playainn building is small, only 10 units, very well maintained and it has a lovely pool that always looks very inviting with some shaded area around it as well. This condo is situated in the perfect location. Just a very short walk to the famous Mamitas and Kool beach clubs. There you will find the most beautiful beaches to sunbath or just take a long relaxing stroll. Also, a short walk away is the famous 5th avenue. There you will find the best shopping, dining, nightlife and people watching you could possibly hope for.
No need for a rental car here.

This condo was a fantastic choice for us. The location was perfect. From here we could walk almost everywhere we wanted to go. It is located on 26th st and 1st ave -- only a block from the bustling 5th ave and a block and a half from the beach right near three popular beach clubs that we used while we stayed. This is some of the most beautiful beach in town. Right around the corner is a small internet cafe where we met some fun people for morning coffee, and lots of restaurants a block over on 5th ave. It was easy to grab a taxi from the corner at 1st ave when we wanted to go a little farther for other local activities.
The condo was well maintained, very clean, and just as beautiful as the pictures. Bottled drinking water was provided, along with free wifi, all the kitchen amenities we needed, nice bath towels and beach towels. Our unit had two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The manager is not located on site, but is very easy to contact if you have questions or any problems, and happy to help in any way.
It's a quiet building with a secure gate to the courtyard where there is a shower to wash off sand from the beach, and a very well maintained small swimming pool. From there we walk up to the second floor where our condo unit (#2) was located. Because of that, this unit may not work for you if you need handicap access. There is a small balcony that overlooks the courtyard, and another balcony that overlooks the street where you can sit and catch a glimpse of the ocean between the palm trees. The condo its self was very spacious.
I was traveling with my three teenagers and felt very safe and secure in this building. Local people all over town were very kind, and we felt very welcome in Mexico. We had a fantastic Christmas vacation, and I would definitely recommend this rental to a friend. -

I spent 7 nights at PlayaInn #2 in July of 2011. It was my sixth trip to Playa and the fourth condo I have rented. In many ways, Playa Inn #2 was my favorite place to stay.
First, Monica, the Latido de Mexico rental contact, was extremely responsive and helpful. When we had an "emergency" of a dead safe battery at midnight the night before we left, Monica was there at 8:00 the next morning to save us. Second, the condo was extremely clean. The furnishings were very new and were things I would likely have in my own home rather than the cheaper furnishings you sometimes find in other rentals. Third, the location, only a 1/2 block from Kool and Mamitas is hard to beat. Finally, the small complex it is in is very quiet and kept spotless by a friendly gentleman who lives on the first floor.
If I had to offer any constructive criticism, it is that the aC unit was pretty loud compared to what we have in the us, but when in Mexico that is a pretty good sign that it is working as hard as you need it to work. -

Our family (2 adults, our teenage daughter and her friend) completely enjoyed our 2 week stay at PlayaInn. We had planned for our holiday for almost a year and had done lots of research on where to stay (there are so many condos to choose from that it sometimes was a little overwhelming). We all agreed that we made the right choice in PlayaInn! We immediately felt at home in this condo. The location of this condo is perfect. It was just a short walk to 5th avenue and to the beautiful beach. We even felt comfortable letting the girls venture out on their own a bit.
The condo was exceptionally clean, as were the grounds and the pool. The temperature of the pool was a little cold during our stay, but I could see spending a lot of time there during warmer months.
We had a problem with accessing the internet at first, but a call to the property manager quickly had the teens surfing the internet. Teen drama avoided. Lol We also used the shopping service offered by the management company and were very happy to have the kitchen already stocked with the essentials before we arrived.

Our stay at the Playa Inn was wonderful . Everything was new and clean, we had everything needed for our comfort down to the final details with comfortable beds, leather sofas, internet, cable tv and a ipod station. The location was excellent 1 block from the beach and two of the most popular beach clubs Mamita's and Kool and 1 block from the 5th avenue a pedestrian only street full of great restaurants and shops. The condo is very quiet and spacious with a full time yard keeper and security. We enjoyed sitting on either of the two decks or by the pool which was immaculate. Latido De Mexico gave us first class service with airport pick up, full communication and information on our stay. The maids were polite and the property is exceptionally clean. We will be going back again.
