Across from the building, there is a large garden used for yoga, meditation, temazcal. nearby there is a restaurant called pueblo with nightly music. La cueva del chango offers for breakfast. seafood restaurants, groceries stores. and the beautiful beach within an easy walk.

This condo is literally a 5 minute walk from the beach and La Quinta ave! It's a very comfortable and well-maintained unit in a very safe building and street. I enjoyed being able to walk around the area at any hour with my husband and daughter. Courteous and friendly security guys always on premises. We also enjoyed the lovely roof-top pool although nothing beats a swim in the spectacular Caribbean sea.

We were happy overall with the condo, as it has everything you need. for us, the highlight was the rooftop pool!
great location, you can walk to the beach or to 5th avenue. a cute coffee shop next door, and a convenience store 5 mins. away.
negatives: We had to have the front door lock changed as the keys didn't work well (also the key to the safety deposit was missing). would have liked instructions on how to use the huge water dispenser which didn't have a stand. And the cell phone didn't work, but the Internet access was gratefully received! We also couldn't get a choice in the English TV programs, but we read books instead.
overall I would recommend renting this condo, and will add that the owners were very helpful -

The condo is great - very nice bedrooms, beds, baths, kitchen, dining and living space. It is beautifully appointed and maintained and was spotless upon arrival. The washer and dryer were very handy. The owners provided a welcome sheet with directions from the airport and helpful hints for getting around and finding stores, as well as popular nearby attractions. The local staff responded immediately to any issues that arose, were easy to deal with, and resolved things very quickly. The property is situated in a quiet, safe area of Playa del Carmen (we were grateful for this when we heard all of the loud music that was played at some of the hotels), yet only a block and a half away from the best part of the beach and five or ten minutes walking to some of the best restaurants on 5th avenue (there are also places just around the corner for a quick breakfast or lunch). Our family of four enjoyed a wonderful stay there - we were very happy with the condo and would recommend it without hesitation.

sin duda habernos hospedado en el condominio Meridian resulto no solo un aexcelente inversion sino ante todo una grata experiencia al contar con todos lo servicios y un optimo funcionamiento de todos sus utensilios. a cuadra y media de la playa y a dos cuadras de la famosa quinta avenida, hacen de su ubicacion un excelente espacio para descansar y compartir las experieicias y aventuras vividas por los diferentes destinos que se encuntran a su alrededor.

The condo was exactly as advertisted and Fran and Nick were wonderful to deal with. We (my husband and I, as well as our adult daughter) spent last Christmas there. We spent our days at Mamita's Beach and it was close enough that we walked back and forth to the condo for lunch. Our coffee maker went on the fritz the beginning of the vacation. I called the general manager in the morning and that evening someone arrived with a replacement! It was also great to have the washer and dryer. The condo was close to 5th avenue although it was about a 10/15 minute walk to the 'center' of town. However, there were lots of good restaurants along the way. We didn't use the pool, however, it was clean and had lounge chairs. The unit was cool in the evenings and we didn't need the a/c as long as the windows were open. The only downside was that the bedroom facing the inside corridor didn't get alot of natural light. That being said, we would have stayed there again this Christmas, but it was already rented!!!
