Toronto, CanadaBeautiful Place - strongly recommend it!
Left on 02/19/2013 for a stay in February 2013
We really enjoyed our stay at The Elements. It`s a beautiful condo with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The beds are comfortable and everything is clean and practically new and modern. They provide plenty of drinking water which was a major concern of mine. The Elements is only a few minutes walk from the busy 5th avenue, but is in a quiet area for a good night`s sleep.
The beach is beautiful and quiet compared to the downtown beach only a few minutes away which is bustling with people and fishermen. The Elements also has its own private beach area.
Damien, our concierge, gave us a cell phone and we could call him at anytime for information. That was extremely helpful.
I had found other places online which seemed interesting. However once there, I saw those places from the beach and was not impressed since they had no privacy on the balconies and the beach in front was packed.
Loved it and would go back! We definitely recommend The Elements!

We had a wonderful time in Playa del Carmen and loved staying in unit 219 at The Elements. It is a fantastic location: a 30 second walk to the beach and a fantastic pool. It is an easy walk to many restaurants. Beach side massage is offered for Elements guests for approximately $30-35 us dollars per hour; don't miss it! The two massage therapists are wonderful!
We'll be back. -

ChicagoBeautiful, peaceful and relaxing condo experience on the beach!
Left on 04/20/2011 for a stay in March 2011
We love Mexico and normally stay in Vallarta, but after so many raves from friends, decided to head to Playa del Carmen this spring. Overall, it was a wonderful trip and we were glad we did not go the resort route and instead stayed at the Elements. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful condo complex right on the beach! We could hear the ocean at night from our bedroom. It was very relaxing and the pool was divine. It was also a nice mix of Mexicans and foreigners, which we like since staying w/all gringos is not our thing. The facilities are very well-maintained, there is a small private beach, a gym, excellent concierge service, massage, daily maid and room services. Truly loved the accessibility to the beach which greatly facilitated our morning walks on the beach. I find it so annoying when a place advertises 'close to the beach' but actually getting there is prohibitively far that one rarely ventures it. This is not the case here. Damien, the concierge was excellent! He was extremely accommodating, very honest in his assessment of restaurants, tours, etc., and organized some excellent outings for our family. For those Playa del Carmen newcomers like us, things are a bit pricey here, so having a condo w/kitchen affords one the option to cook-in occasionally to save a few pesos. Overall, a lovely experience and we're looking forward to our return next year!

Melbourne, AustaliaGreat apartment with fantastic views
Left on 08/22/2010 for a stay in August 2010
My partner and I had a fantastic time in Playa del Carmen staying at The Elements Unit 219 - El219.
We were very happy with the service and attention to detail at The Elements.
The apartment itself was great, it has a fantastic view of both the beach and the pool area. It was modern and well maintained and had everything we expected or could have wanted.
The concierge Damien (Bric) did a great job.
He met us on our arrival and provided us with all the details and information we needed for our stay, and if we needed any service he was only a phone call away.
The Elements itself was a great place to stay, it was the prefect location for us as it is away from the main 5th avenue area, but it was only a 10 min walk there when you needed to. It has one of the largest swimming pools in Playa and also has it's own small private beach area directly behind the complex which was never crowded.
We would both highly recommend staying at The Elements and unit 219. Next time we visit Playa, The Elements is the only place we would really consider.
Renting the apartment via Bric was very easy and they provided us with all the information we needed. We found their customer service to be very professional and would have no problems dealing with them in the near future. -

We enjoyed our stay very much. The condo is decorated beautifully and the patio is also fantastic. It's nice to have a private beach right across the street. We had a great time. The weather wasn't fantastic, but that is to be expected the first week of jan. Walking distance to everything on 5th ave and a beautiful beach to lay on or walk.
Damien couldn't have been better. He gave us great recommendations for restaurants and got us anything we needed. -

Left on 07/27/2009 for a stay in July 2009
My wife, son and his girlfriend,(yes they are both over 21) stayed at unit 219 the week of July 4th. It is a really nice unit with three tv's and a surround sound system. The condo is brand new and looks it.
We all espeacially liked the huge margaita glasses. They were perfect for sitting out on the 3rd story deck and watching the people and waves at the beach. We ate lunch everyday on the deck and used the propane barbeque to ccok our lunches.
The property management folks were very attentative to our requests and the maid service left the condo in pristine condition after each visit. They also made sure we had a taxi whenever we requested one and gave us a USB thing to get internet.
We did the five minute walk to town every night for dinner. I reccommend the North end of 5th Ave for some of the less touristy resturaunts as well as the cute Italian place a block from the Elements. A new beach resturant was about done on the beach just left of the Elements. It looks to be three stories high and someone said was being built by the owner of a populsr resturant by the pier in Playa. It will be nice to have another resturant close by.
You could order take out food from your room and the menu looked really inexpensive. We didn't order any food but saw some people eating burgers from the place at the pool. They said it was very good and it looked good. We shopped at the Mega Super Store. It was a 5 peso ride ($3.50) to and from the store. We walked to the store(10 minutes) and took the taxi back. The elevator for #219 is right at the door to enter the left side of the complex and it goes 15 feet from the unit's door.
The people around the pool said the Element's pool was the biggest in Playa. I don't doubt it. It is a nice one with the lounges that let you sit in the shallow edges of the pool.
With the windows closed all sound was blocked out. With the windows open, especially at night, all you hear are the waves. We will return in Oct. to #219.
