Best of all: location. You have the beach right there. Also, it's 10 ~ 15 mins. walk to the port where ferries to Cozumel arrive and leave and it's where 5th avenue begins.
We were 8 adults and a kid and we were very comfortable. Everything was in good conditions and was clean.
The Jacuzzi in the rooftop is nice plus to have. -

We just returned from a relaxing vacation with several families at azul Caribe. The house is just a short walk from the gorgeous beach in Playacar, on the south side of Playa del Carmen. The location alone would make it worthwhile -- but the house has a lot more to offer. We traveled with 12 people (6 adults, 6 kids) and it fit us all comfortably. The roofdeck has a lovely hot tub with a picturesque ocean view, and the living space on the ground floor is nice for hanging out when you need a break from the beach. The open floorplan on the ground floor (you can see the pool from the kitchen, with the dining room & living room in between) -- made it easy to keep tabs on our kids.
The property management company is quite responsive, and has a helpful concierge who made arrangements for a chef (highly recommended!) and babysitters.
The only small areas for improvement would be: the kitchen lacks a bit on equipment for people who are expecting to cook for themselves and the pool was on the cool side so it didn't get much use. -

My family had a fantastic holiday in no small part due to the fabulous villa and its great location. We have never stayed anywhere with such great access to a stunning beach and yet we felt safe and secure. Great to be able to walk to the shops/restaurants/cafes if we wanted; my son did a Padi course at the hotel along the beach and we could walk to the ferry to go to Cozumel for the day. Only 20 minutes from some great excursions too. The hot tub was amazing at night; the villa kept cool during the day even if we didn't have the a/c on and it was spotlessly clean and tidy. The pool was a welcome change from the sandy beach and I will definitely be recommending this villa to all my friends and family. Thank you so much for making a memorable holiday for a family of 2 adults and 4 teenagers. There were no complaints from anyone and teenagers are notoriously hard to please!
