Modern luxury 3 bedroom villa in Playacar, with beautiful views and close to the beach. A tranquil setting with the Playacar bird sanctuary to the front and the secluded private terrace at the rear is separated from the golf course only by trees and plants. This beautiful spot is only 5 minutes walk to the fabulous Playacar beach, or a similar distance to the 5th Avenue shops and restaurants.
The large swimming pool has a childrens shallow end. The villa features large rooms, with high ceilings; fans and air conditioning throughout. The modern clean villa has Sky TV and free Wi-Fi internet access.

I would recommend this villa unreservedly. Everything was perfect from our arrival to our departure. We particularly loved the quiet, the wonderful pool right outside the door, the proximity to beach and town, the facilities inside the villa and the extremely helpful and friendly service from the owners before going, and the lady who manages the villa out there. In fact I can't think of a single thing to say that isn't 100% positive - except perhaps that I never did manage to fill the jacuzzi bath in the master bedroom - the water pressure is fairly low and the bath so enormous that after half an hour I felt it was wasteful on water and heating and we hadn't even got the level up to the first bubble level. This was not a problem for any of the 7 adults staying all of whom were happy with pool, beach, sea and showers, it was our (almost) three year old who wanted to have a go but was disappointed!

Casa Selva Caribe is a well appointed and maintained house within the Playacar gated community. The house is in a quiet area and has the added benefit of a shared swimming pool which is fantastic. The 3 bedrooms are all large and there are 3 bathrooms (so no queues). The kitchen has plenty of everything you need, the air con is quiet and very good and the living/dining room opens out to a lovely quiet back garden area where you will hear and see all the lovely birds that visit. The area is very safe for children.
In Playacar you can walk to the main area 5th street (about 7 mins) for shops and restaurants/bars and for the small shop (Oxxo) or the large supermarket is a very short drive away or you can walk to it in about 15 mins. Food is very cheap in Mexico compared to the UK, Europe and america so you will be pleasantly surprised at how little you spend. The Reef Club Hotel is about 5 mins walk from the house and has a lovely long stretch of beach (you can walk for miles) and all the amenities you would expect. Playacar is the best beach and as you walk towards the main Cozumal ferry pier you will find that the beach is much thinner on the other side of the pier and it is much busier along there. The Condos there(and I looked at most of them) don't look as good and the beach is over-crowded.
In my opinion (and I expect high standards and am well travelled)Casa Selva Caribe is a perfect spot for your holiday. It's easy to get to from the airport, safe and a great base to do all of your sight seeing from and of course Ulla the property manager is a fund of information and is always willing to assist in any way she can. I give this property 10 out of 10. -

Casa Selva Caribe - a wonderful place to stay while vacationing in Playa/Playcar! The house is immaculate, spacious, and very comfortable. The pool is right outside the front porch and there was a palapa next to it to hang out and sip a cold drink! The bird sanctuary is a few feet away and you wake up to different birds chirping away. We could not ask for a better location - the walk to the beach was quick and fun as you pass by old mayan ruins and the proximity to La Quinta is close by as well. We were traveling with our 11 month old son and it was very convenient to have all of the amenities while vacationing. We would definitely return to Casa Selva for our next trip to Playa. The property manager, Ulla was always available to answer our questions and concerns. Thank you, David and Louise!

We found the house at 'Flipkey' and contacted the owners who always responded very quickly and comprehensively. Arriving at Playa we found the house exactly as it was described: clean, spacious, well-maintained in a nice environment. Our kids loved the pool right opposite the house. Also worth to mention: The competent and very friendly local service maintaining the house and helping at all kind of questions. Wouldn't hesitate to go again...

We had a great holiday based in Cass Selva Caribe, the villa is spacious, well equipped and is only a few minutes walk from Playa del Carmen.
The pool is quiet and a great place to come back after a day sightseeing.
Ulla the property manager is helpful and knowledgeable and the owners provided excellent help and advice before the holiday. The villa is well maintained and very clean. -

My husband, 13 year old daughter and I stayed at Casa Selva Caribe for one week in March. We selected this property through Tripadvisor. Booking was easy, the owner provided good instructions before we arrived and the property manager was welcoming and helpful during our stay. The villa is in a complex of about 20 single home condos. The house faces the pool the back overlooks the nearby aviary (so bird watching is fun!). We also saw lots of agoutis and coatimundis in the forest aviary.
The house is very comfortable. There is air conditioning but we just used the ceiling fans while there - be aware that the aC really chews up kilowatts and you will go over the $50 for electricity included in the rental. We didn't :-) The 3 bedrooms are all spacious and comfortable. The kitchen is smallish but sufficient and well supplied with pots, pans, etc. - the property manager even stocked the fridge with milk and juice before we arrived!
The villa is in the quiet gated Playacar community but is only It’s a 10 minute walk to the beach and about 15 minutes to walk to the lively 5th ave strip. Very good location for enjoying anything on the Mayan Riviera. We highly recommend Casa Selva Caribe for a relaxing home-base for any vacation in the area. -

Es una casa con excelente ubicación en playa del Carmen muy segura la zona cuenta con todos los servicios te sientes como en casa los niños se divierten mucho en la alberca y nosotros también pues la playa esta cerca a todos lados puedes ir caminando ala 5ta avenida y playa en playacar y playa publica nosotros preferíamos ir en playacar porque esta mas tranquila ..

Perfect villa for family,spacious, good location-you can walk till 5th avenue,or many shopping locations.You wake up with bird songs...you can watch them from the balcony.Life will be easier if you rent a car, the best to do this is at the airport.To reach supermarket you will need transportation.

Casa Selva Caribe more than lived up to expectations. A beautifully roomy and light villa with everything you could possibly need, and the pool a few paces from the door. It was wonderful to arrive after a long journey, and after a very comfortable night awake to the sound of birds singing in the trees. The villa is spotlessly clean, the grounds are very well kept, and everyone we met extremely helpful and friendly. The villa is in a tranquil location, just a short walk past some Mayan ruins to the beach, and only a few minutes walk to the main restaurant area. If you just want to relax there's no need to hire a car, but we wanted to explore the area and this was a fantastic base for places such as Tulum, Coba and Chichen Itza. Dave and Louise made an excellent choice with this villa!

This villa is perfectly situated in a tranquil green garden with a beautiful turquoise pool and exotic birds. The inside of the house is cool and inviting after the heat of the day and caters for every need. The bedrooms are generous, the open plan sitting/dining room is vast and the bathrooms
huge. The furnishings are attractive, comfortable and well planned and there is a wifi connection which enabled us to watch the BBC news the night of the UK election! The maid service is good and the gardens and pool beautifully maintained.
It's only a short walk to the local beaches and town with all the usual amenties. The beaches are lovely - open, clean and empty. It's also very easy to get on to the regional road network so visiting other areas in the peninsula is straightforward. We travelled around using the villa as a base and it was lovely to return to this peaceful setting after a day out down the coast or even a few days away the other side of the Yucatan but equally it would suit a relaxing poolside and beach holiday. We loved Merida (do go to the Hotel Las Marionetas, another oasis), Uxmal, Valladolid, Tulum, Coba, and lots more. There is nothing not to like!
