London, United KingdomFantastic view, would love to be sitting on balcony now, wonderf
Left on 04/27/2013 for a stay in April 2013
View was fantastic from the balcony. Short walk down the hill to cove , 5mins down about 15minutes back up depending on heat and fitness.Worth the walk though, as beach almost to ourselves, lots of rock pools when tide goes out to explore teaming with life. Also regularly walked to other beach on other side of peninsular, about 10 minute walk down and 20 minute walk back up, nice bars and restuarants, would recommend coco loco , right on the beach, great for cocktails and watching the sunset. Angelinas in flamingo, more expensive but great food and service. Would also recommend the pineapple daquari at the monkey bar, delicious.
Aartment itself was spacious and mostly well equiped, hair dryer was missing but contacted blue water and they quickly delivered replacement. Strange only having one sunlouger on balcony could do with at least one more really, also some of the bed linene could do with replacing as some are becoming thread bear. However these were minor issues. I would agree with the previous review that the air con was very loud, particulalry noticeable at night, due to it being so hot had to leave on during the nights but would be woken every time it clicked on.
Enjoed watching the wild life in the early moring over breakfast . The complex was very quiet, at first was a little dissapointed with this as my husband and self were traveling with our middle 21yr old son, however after a few days adjusted to this and enjoyed having the pools to ourself, the security staff were friendly , helpful and eager to teach us spaininsh and learn english from us.
Blue water wer great to deal with, booking and information provided prior to arriving was really good. Blue water staff always responded promptly to any queries, being English and first time visitors to Central america we had many. Booked a number of tours with them. Sunset catarmaran tour was realy enjoyable , great staff on the hibiscus, good food and drink and enjoyed the snorckling. Kayaking in the eastury at Tamarindo, was also good value and very informative , our guide from arenas Elie was a pleasure, showed us lots of wild life and also educated us re the culture/history of the area, our son was pleased to get within an oars distance of a couple of crocodiles. Atv tour although enjoyble, it felt like our guide was disinterested , spent a lot of time on his mobile and didnt take any time out to tell us about any of the areas we were passing through etc. The congo canopy tour was good fun, the guides very friendly and helpful, dont bther paying the $15 dollars for the professional phots though as the guides are happy to take lots of phots for you as you go around the zip lines.
I would say a car is essential, and if you are intending to explore deeper into costa rica then it needs to be 4x4 as most of the roads are dirt and not tarmac and also very hilly. Visited rincon de le vieja park independently , saw lots of wild life and also the natural wonders of volcanoes. Also drove to arenal , had a really nice good value meal at Hotel linda , great service and great view of volcano. Felt the sky walk was a little expensive , did enjoy the scenery in the rainforest but wish we had gone to the national park instead.A thoroughly enjoyable visit to a beautiful part of the world, enjoyed the contact we had with the local Ticos, very freindly , respectful and helpful. Unuasaly for us we were the only travelers from the uk we met in the guanacaste area and the locals although us to american accent frequenlty had trouble understanding us, this was not a problem though as we like to try and learn about local culture and language. Hopefully though we can educate a number of other Brits to venture to this special part of the world. Only reason not given 5 out of 5 was the aircon -

My Husband and I stayed at this condo for 10 days and for the most part had a wonderful experience. The condo was spacious and beautifully decorated. The staff at Blue Water Properties gave first class service, very prompt in attending to any problem. There are a few things future guests might be interested in knowing: the shallow pool intended for children is directly below the condo and can be very noisy. There is central air, but no ceiling fans as described and the a/C is very noisy, I had to wear earplugs to sleep; the curtains in the master bedroom are very sheer so be prepared to wake with the dawn; bare minimum of utensils provided in kitchen, no salt or pepper or spices of any kind; The blender was broken; the elevator was not working and there was no stereo system as described. Also, access to the condo is from dirt road and about a 10 minute drive (not walk) to Flamino Beach.

We're glad that most of your stay was pleasant and you found our staff great to deal with. We have taken some of your comments and will improve the situation with the kitchen utensils. We are also looking into installing some ceiling fans in the bedrooms. This is the first complaint we've had regarding the central air, curtains or pool below. Usually the condo complex is extremely quiet. In regards to spices: The owner does not provide those to renters. That is the responsibility of the tenant. If there are left over condiments from previous guests, we also ask that the maids leave them for future guests. We will also see about installing blackout shades in the master bedroom so that you can 'sleep in' during your vacation. The building has 2 elevators. The one closest to the door of this condo is not working. However, there is another one on the other end of the building that does work. Since this is a 2nd floor condo, most guests do not find themselves taking the elevators much. Thanks for the feedback. We hope to see you again soon.

The Flamingo Cove condo my family and I stayed in was great. The view was spectacular, the condo was very well maintained (and fancy), the place was very safe and the area was lovely. The last part of the road to get there (the last kilometer or mile) was a little harsh, but not too bad. I have a very nice time. Thank you¡

Acton MAGreat condo!
Left on 04/30/2012 for a stay in April 2012
We stayed at this condo for 3 nights in april. As other reviewers have mentioned, the condo was spacious, clean, and well decorated. It had more than enough room and ammenities --- some of which we did not have a chance to use!! (blender, washing machine...) It just so happened that during the week we were there, the place was pretty empty, which meant we had the whole pool (s) to ourselves. The condo is very conveniently located close to many nice beaches. it is a bit of a schlep to walk to town or down the beach--- I was kind of hoping we could walk to more things, but we ended up driving, which was fine too bc it is very hilly, dusty, and hot!
The best part about the condo was definitely the view. We loved hanging out on the back porch eating breakfast, sipping coffee, viewing wildlife... Wish i was there right now!!!
Becky and her staff were very accommodating. Their service was top notch. I wouldn't hesitate to rent from them again!!Response from Becky Clower, Blue Water Properties of Costa Rica - 05/03/2012

We stayed at this condo in July 2011 for 6 nights. We absolutely loved it. It was clean, beautifully decorated, and spacious. The view from the large balcony was amazing and we enjoyed having our morning coffee there every day. The property was very quiet and we had the pool to ourselves most of the time, which was warm and clean. The condo was well-stocked with all the amenities. It's an easy drive to restaurants, grocery stores, and beaches. With two small kids we loved Playa Flamingo for its wide beach and calmer waters. We would definitely recommend this condo.

Rented this property Jan 9 to Feb 1/2011.
The view from this property is unbelievable with some of the best sunsets we have ever experienced.
The actual condo was spacious and comfortable and provided everything necessary for our stay. The communal pool was great and kept very clean.
Although we had a vehicle we did walk into Flamingo beach almost every morning and witnessed lot's of wildlife, we saw Howler monkeys most days . There are great restraunts all around this property in Flamingo, BrasIlito and Portrero.
We went on several tours which were arranged by Rebecca's group at Bluewater, they were extremely helpful in fact our overall experience with Bluewater was awesome, they have a considerable knowledge of the area and we would highy recommend using them .
We would definitely rent this property again.
