AtlantaThe best view with a slight plumbing hiccup

We rented Casa Cielo for a week in april and as the property manage was leading us up to the home, we got more and more excited the higher we climbed. We ended up at the highest point and the view was spectacular. The place was perfect for three couples as the bedrooms were all in separate areas. The house was convenient to restaurants and shops. I highly recommend Carlos & Carlos which is just at the bottom of the hill if you go out the back way.
We had some plumbing issues with the master bathroom. It looked like the bidet was newly installed but the drain was sealed with masking tape. After the first day we notice a raw sewage smell in the master bath and bedroom. We called the property manager and they came to plunge it and sprayed it with air freshener. This fixed the issue temporarily but as soon as you use the master toilet the smell returns. We were unable to use the master for several days and when we returned, we did our best to avoid using the toilet. Luckily we only had two couples as that would have been a problem.
Besides that everything was well taken care of. Hose was up early every morning cleaning the pool and tending to the grounds. He also opens the main gate and lock up in the evening so no cars can get in or out. The howler monkeys came to visit a couple of times. There were mosquitoes there but we came prepared.
I would recommend this vacation rental only if they have fixed the master bathroom issue. Otherwise it is not the best experience. -

My husband and I went to Costa Rica with 2 other couples. The house was set up perfect for us. When it was time for bed we all went to our seperate areas in the house and could never tell anyone else was there. The views are spectacular from every side of the house. The staff was great and very helpful. The house was a perfect location, not too close to everything, but not too far either. It made you feel like you were away from all of the touristy things, but it was only a short drive away. We were only inside the house when we were cooking or when we were sleeping, because the outside living areas were great and we loved the pool. We are already planning our next trip and would love to rent the same house. No complaints here!
