This was the second home we rented from special places of Guanacaste and we were very happy with this home. Well furnished and equipped – it has everything you need and more. The patio and pool were great. It was the biggest pool out of the 3 homes we have rented in Costa Rica. I loved the location – great views and we have always felt very safe in Pacific Heights. Every morning I did a morning run or walk up the mountain which awesome because you have a gorgeous view to look at the entire time. Also was nice to hear and watch from a distance the howler monkeys playing in the trees below every morning.
Overall it was awsome - no complaints! -

We were extremely pleased with the house that we rented from Special Places. Casa Margarita is a beautiful house located high on the hill. It has a spectacular view of Flamingo Beach and we enjoyed the infinity pool over looking the sites. Lots of birds, butterflies and even a couple of howler monkeys visited one afternoon. The house itself was wonderful: three full bedrooms all with ensuites. There was lots of room for the five of us and the kitchen was fully equipped. The rooms were all air conditioned and as a result we were very comfortable. We felt very safe at the house as there is a couple who lives here and looks after everything. We booked a day trip to Plalo Verde through Special Places and we really enjoyed this outting. We also booked the Lazy Lizard catamaran trip for an afternoon trip which was by far the best!!
It takes about twenty minutes to get to Flamingo Beach area. The road was in bad shape when we arrived with massive holes and bumps but by the end of the week it had been graded and the holes were filled in - that was a blessing. The last leg of the road to get to the house is very steep and very bumpy. If there was one unpleasant aspect of the vacation the road would be the only thing. But it is not North america . . . so it is to be expected.
We had a truly relaxing vacation.You will not be disappointed with this rental - excellent!! -

All our family enjoyed the vacation. The house is very confortable. The only issue is the cleaning. We stayed four days and only two days the maid cleaned up. The other thing is that we couldnt use all the guard rope because it was full of the owners clothes. These observation also includes the main bathroom.

Casa Margarita and our Costa Rica experience exceeded our expectations. The on-line photos perfectly depict the house which was beautifully decorated, spacious and comfortable. Rain or shine, if we were at the house, our kids (ages 15/13/11) were in the pool. The panoramic view from the deck provided spectacular morning and sunset views. Danelo and his wife Marda, the resident caretakers, were very warm & gracious; they always seemed out-of-site until we needed something and they magically appeared. There were ample things to do just a short drive from the house. The staff at Special Places were very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend a Guanacaste vacation at Casa Margarita!
